Plusses:
- clean and well-maintained,
- breakfast generally edible for a free hotel buffet (make-your-own waffles, some fruit, cereal boxes, scones, muffins, bread, sausage links..)
- the beds really comfortable
- the air conditioning works well (a blessing when it's 35+ outside!)
- sufficient towels for two people staying in a room without having to be asked for more
- even though our room was just around the corner from the elevator and the hotel was full, it was quite quiet
Minuses:
- no one at the desk when we arrived to check in
- no one at the desk when we called down a dozen times; phone kept going to a voicemail box that was full
- wonky WiFi
- The lower floor *stinks* of the chlorine from the pool
- the in-room movies are *expensive* ($17 for a recent release? We could have joined NetFlix and downloaded it for less!)
- definite shortage of protein and corresponding abundance of sugary starch in the breakfast
Would I stay there again if I was in the area? Since it's the only non-motel, non-beaten-up looking option in the area, I'd kinda have to. read more
