I was in the area for some family stuff, and I needed a room last minute. I booked one about an hour before I arrived. The concierge at the front desk was kind and patient even though she couldn't find my reservation at first. Eventually we got it figured out, and I was able to get to my room. The room was clean in general. The bed was comfy and the amenities were what I needed: shower, parking, free breakfast and quiet room. I also was really glad they had a luggage rack; some hotels nowadays don't have them! I also had forgotten to bring toothpaste with me, so I ended having to come down to ask if they had some as courtesy, which they did. The only thing I really noticed that I wish was cleaner was the tub. The corners looked like it was dirty; I'm not sure if it was dirty or moldy but it was dark. Breakfast was decent with reasonable hours of availability. They had waffles and other hot breakfast dishes like scrambled eggs and sausage along with an array of cereals and breakfast pastries. They also had milk, coffee, water and a couple fruit juices available. Overall, pretty decent choices. I had a really solid experience and wouldn't mind staying again if I need to whenever I'm in the area. read more

This was our first stay here, and all in all Not bad!! First of all, I'm a Diamond member and the Hilton site told me my total with taxes and using 10K points was $49.84, they charged my card $78. When I asked the clerk at check in she said Not sure why, take it up with clerk at check out! The site told me online since a Diamond member, no deposits or incidental charges! The room was a King Bed with a extremely hard and non comfort Sofa. My hubby wanted to sit and enjoy football on TV. Good thing he's easy going, he sat there enjoying his PBR and watched the playoffs....not me, I stretched out in bed working from my laptop! TV great, shower great water pressure and hot water and comfy bed..that's what matters the most. Quiet room facing rear of hotel and residential homes. But, we aren't at the Beach, so no need for spectacular view. Breakfast next day was Southwestern Egg Omelets w cheese, sausage, hard boiled eggs, bagels with cream cheese and waffles. No fruit! Hot Tea, Coffee, milk and juice. Free breakfast, free coffee and pretty good stay!! Indoor pool with towels and no hot tub. Definitely recommend and will stay again! We stayed two nights at the Hampton Inn Fairmont for a softball tournament in Morgantown. Since it was WVU move-in weekend, we decided to stay outside of town, and it saved us a lot of money. The commute to Morgantown is about 20-25 minutes and was well-worth it for the cheaper hotel rate. Overall, this hotel met our expectations. The common areas were newly remodeled and very clean. The rooms were basic, clean, and comfortable. Our only issue was that the hotel-supplied soap had a dirty hand pump. It wouldn't take much to change that out. The continental breakfast was just okay with the usual Hampton waffle maker, eggs, yogurt, and fruit. I ended up having to utilize the hotel wifi and sat in the business center for a Zoom meeting. The free wifi was fast enough and held up okay throughout the meeting when connecting my laptop. If you are traveling with a pet, this hotel has a lot of property for walks. The hotel sits far off the road and is relatively by itself. We have stayed at many pet-friendly hotels and the pet areas here are the cleanest I have seen. The hotel also provides bags to pick up after your pet and multiple pet clean up trash cans. After reading some of the other reviews, I would venture to say that some of the low star reviews are from folks who are picky. Every staff member we encountered here was pleasant and helpful. From a phone call requesting early check-in to the housekeeping staff (they said our dogs were cute ) the staff made us feel welcome. We would definitely stay here again as it is a good value, pet-friendly hotel. Overall, our stay was a good one. read more

Very nice hotel conveniently located off the interstate. If you had business in Morgantown and was to save some money, this would be a great place to stay. The hotel is clean and inviting. Our room was nice. Bedding, shower, and pillows were all comfortable. Love using the app and picking my own room, no checking in at the desk, and able to check out quickly. It's very convenient. Only issues were the elevators are very noisy and jerky. Also light out at the back of the hotel where you park. Needs to be well lit. read more

Staff very friendly and helpful. Spent sometime in the gym replacing PT while traveling. Was clean and well stocked with towels, clearers, water and sanitizer. Rooms are also clean and relatively new. Small fridge with tiny freezer, coffee maker and microwave in room. Pump soap, lotion and shampoo. Breakfast was better than usual. Enjoyed the oatmeal and breakfast potatoes. Eggs & sausage were hot and tasty. Make your own waffles. Only negative were the unwrapped apples that were touched by multiple hands. read more

I am a frequent guest at various Hilton properties. On this trip, June 2024, I brought my family as I was heading to Louisville. It was my intention to work and let the family enjoy the pool. The business center was down and the wi-fi was mostly inoperable, one for a minute then off for an hour. The lady at the front desk called the manager who was too busy and would not allow her to call someone else that she suggested. There was mold in the bathroom. Worst property I have ever stayed at. I completed a survey and the manager e-mailed stating that it was not mold, just dark discoloration of the caulk; I believe that would be mold. He told me that the business center had been down and would be up in a few more days; not certain how that was helping the situation of my work product while i was there. His total solution was to offer 1,000 points. I will be traveling back and forth to Louisville on a regular basis now for the next 5 years and since I still do not have my points, an apology and a credit - I will not be returning to this location. we stayed there from May7 to May 8. breakfast is served from 6am to10am.We went down at 6:45am and when we went to get our food there was two strips of bacon left.my husband told the woman that they were out of bacon and she responded by saying that is all we have.So in 45 minutes they ate up the bacon and from then on no bacon. I was so dissatisfied in your service and we have stayed most of our married life in Hamptons. Why bother having bacon at all if you don't even have enough for only 45 minutes. read more

Stayed at this Hampton Inn many times and I will NEVER go back. The service and facility have significantly degraded. On this stay, I paid cash for my room and they still charged my credit card. I was told charge would fall off, it didn't. I have been there and called, no manager is ever available but I'm told repeatedly my card will be credited. I called Hilton, no help. I've now filed a claim with the BBB. Next small claims court. Avoid this place. read more

First, an FYI: When we saw this hotel from the expressway and decided to stay here, I could not find it anywhere on the Internet. I'm sure that this correction will made. It is just a street over from the Cracker Barrel. Upon entering the lobby was beautiful. The front desk clerk told me on the phone that the hotel was brand new, it looked and smelled brand new. When we got to our room, which no one had ever used before, was very clean, cozy (but big) and inviting. The bathrooms are large and bright. The staff are friendly and helpful. Checkout is at 12:00pm which is a treat in itself! The room, for 2 queen beds was $129 and well worth it, but we were able to get a military discount which took the room cost down to $89! The cost, the staff, the room, the free breakfast...makes this an amazing place to stay. We just stopped for the night, but I wish we could stay longer. read more

My husband and I stayed at the Hampton IN Fairmont on Saturday, February 11th. We barely slept all night as the Heater in our room made loud noise. My husband had to turn it off and then the room was too cold to sleep. We barely slept all night. Upon checking out we informed the representative of the "heater" situation with our room. Her response "I'll write up a maintenance slip for maintenance to look at. I requested to speak with the Manager. She said she was off. When I asked when they are expecting her in she could not tell me. She then gave me a piece of paper with the email addresses of Ashley and Stacey which I immediately emailed letting them know of the situation. I then proceeded to call five times over the next two days. I'm given excuses that the GM is on her lunch, on a conference will email me within 30 minutes. I received one call from Stacy and immediately tried to call her back and again I was told she was in a conference call. I have called the Hampton Inn 16 times since last Sunday and still have not spoken with Stacey. When I try to leave her a voicemail it says her voicemail is full. When I call they ask whose calling I give them my name and I'm put on hold and when theyr return anther excuse. This is not acceptable for a Franchise/Chain Hotel. Communication is the key to a successful business and when you have employees or managers that don't respond or communicate with guests this is a good way to "DAMAGE" your Brand. This is your standard, run of the mill Hampton Inn which is exactly what you want. It is on brand and as expected. The rooms are clean and the staff are nice. I stayed with family for one night while in town to see family. As someone who stays in hotels frequently, there isnt much to say about this property except for it is a great place for a quick stay. This was a typical Hampton which usually gets 4 stars from me. However the bathroom had a moldy odor and we couldn't figure out where it was coming from at first because everything looked clean. I found out when I took my shower. It had a very slow drain so about 2 inches of water had accumulated in the tub by the time I was done. The shower curtain was too long so the bottom 6 inches got wet... And this was the source of the moldy odor. Room #406. Breakfast was Hampton typical. read more

My family and I stayed here for a few nights while visiting other family in Fairmont. It was an excellent place to stay. The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. We will definitely stay here again when in town. read more

This is one of the best Hampton Inns we've stayed in and we've stayed in quite a few over the years - from California to Pennsylvania. The Fairmont, WV Hampton is clean - very clean. I judge a Hampton by the cleanliness ( or stinkiness) of its elevator and hall carpeting. These are areas often ignored by management. Both at this hotel smelled clean and fresh, as did the room. The bath was roomy, each queen bed had 4 pillows and the beds were comfy. The rooms have DirectTV and a real program guide on the large flatscreen tv. With friendly staff and easy access from Hwy 79 this is a great place to stay. Highly recommend. read more

When we got settled in our room a pleasant call from the front desk was received asking if everything was perfect with our room. We stayed on the second floor and expressed our concerns about a severe gas smell they were quick to confront the issue and resolved it. The continental breakfast was very nice as well. read more

Hilton has opened a new location just off 79 and it worth Yelping! 6 month old facility with a well trained, personable Team! They make you feel welcome, are attentive to you needs and go the extra step to assure you'll come back.
