I'm compelled to drop a star, because on my last visit I was given a room on the 3rd floor. Mine was a non-smoking room, but the floor is dominated -- in more ways than one -- by smoking rooms. Every time my neighbor lit up, it just came right through to my room. I may be imagining things, but I swear I can still smell the ciggy stank on my suit. True to their commitment to great customer service, the hotel immediately gave me another room once aware of the situation, and the rest of my stay was great. Come on though ... smoking rooms? In 2012? It's not worth catering to the shrinking smoker demographic at the expense of we, the pink-lunged masses. After all, we'll probably be longer-term customers, if you know what I mean. read more

Stayed here at spring of 2018 and well it was okay. They didn't have the room we ordered a month in advanced which they put us in a bigger room so you know not really bothered yet. I stayed here with my boyfriend for two weeks. The first few days were fine and the free breakfast was nice. Later on during our stay though the maids slowly stopped cleaning our room. We're not sure why this happened and were worried we made them mad but we never got this resolved unfortunately. Because of this though there started to be a trash pile because the rooms trash cans are very small. We also had to ask for more towels and soap. The handyman of the hotel though was very nice to us and so was the receptionist and was definitely one of our more positive experiences of the hotel. read more

This place is a horror show and needs to be closed..... Checked in on April 1st for a 3 day stay. Stepped into the elevator, flooring missing. Entered my room and found a seal on the door reading "Cleaned and Sanitized for your comfort" opened the door and found the air intakes so clogged with dust it smelled horrible, bed linens with black grease (told it was from the dryer and not to worry) lamps had no lamp shade and the other had wire around the light bulb, Turned on the HVAC unit for heat that evening and thought it was on fire, I cleaned the filter inside the shower, ****Opened hypodermic needle on the bathroom floor**** Spoke to the manager who said she was sorry and told me about the grease problem. She was to speak to the crew when they arrived to work Friday morning. Never offered to move me or refund me. Filed several complaints with Corporate and no reply.....Stay away from Hilton!!!!!! read more

I had stayed here as I relied on getting Hilton points and this would be a lengthy stay for work plus the other employees from the agency are also staying here and meeting in the mornings and end of day duties. I also relied on the Hilton brand name as they're consistent with what you expect with service and quality of your stay in the hotel. This particular location is completely different from all the Hampton Inn stays I've experienced mainly because your service here reflects of the locals who work in this location. I can tell you that every single one of us in the agency got the same issues. We were all billed incorrectly in our stay. My own experience is that I booked online. When I got to the hotel, I was booked separately because I had changed my dates to be longer after finding out how long I'll be on duty at Livingston. The first problem was actually that my rates were wrong. So they fixed that but the problem was actually a bigger. Apparently, when I got booked for the longer stay to be changed from the shorter stay, the change wasn't really a change and the employee who managed this had booked me as a new person. So the result was that my credit card was billed for two rooms. You would think they are smart enough to know that two rooms are under one same name and that it wouldn't make sense for one person to use two rooms. Not the case here as the employees here don't know what they're doing. I had a nightmare for a billing because of this and the manager was ready to pull his own hairs to fix my issue. The employees who work here outside of the upper management/owner are likely no longer working here as the turn over rate is quite high. Especially since there was a change of ownership. So why the two star rating instead of one or negative stars? The one employee who worked extra hard to make this stay kind of decent was Karla. She was the only one that had stayed while everyone else quit. Very courteous and was even able to do some extra duty stuff that's not really what she would be assigned to (like changing batteries on the door locks that should be done by technicians). When I had issues with the laundry room and my own room, she was there to help and took it the extra mile to make sure my problems were fixed. I doubt she still works at this hotel, but she was the one to go to for issues outside of billing. I had heard from a local who used to work here that the owner and upper management took advantage of their workers. They do not pay them the extra hours and Overtime. only promised payment at the end of the year. I would not be surprised if they had overworked Karla for the extra hours that I saw her in the front desk. Breakfast here can be inconsistent. Some few days the waffle batter mix was done right, most of the days it was done wrong and dry. If you have a choice to stay somewhere else, do it. This place will give you head aches and just infuriate you with the way it's managed. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE! My husband and I got bit by bed bugs all night. There was hair all over the bed as if the sheets were not washed before our stay. Dried blood left on the pillow. $130 for one night, to be tore up by bed bugs. We felt so nasty. We showed these pictures to the manager and they said there was nothing they could do. My wedding rings were stolen out of my room during my stay. When I returned they were gone. Staff did not seem to care and after being assured night clerk would speak with housekeeping and update me, he never did. Hotel overall is need of significant repairs and cleaning to be up to the standard of other Hampton Inns I've stayed in. This property also does not have fridges and microwaves in the rooms which is pretty standard in Hamptons. Rooms are pretty small compared to other Hampton Inns I've stayed in. The morning staff seemed nice enough, but the night clerk needs to go. Pretty sure he knew exactly what was up with my rigs being gone. His demeanor changed completely when I informed him I had an officer coming to file a police report. Never again. read more

I wish there was a way to give less than a star!! I unfortunately am still staying in this hotel for the 3rd straight day. My co-worker and booked a room with two beds over a month ago for 3 days. When we arrived, we were given a room with one bed. When they were made aware of the situation, the shrugged and said they couldn't do anything and would have to resolve in the morning. We roughed it through that night because it was so late. In the morning we talked to a manager who assured us the problem would be resolved. When we returned, we spoke to the owner and he basically laughed at us saying that he couldn't do anything. Actually, he suggested we go to the local Walmart and buy an air mattress. Rather than apologizing or supplying the mattress himself, he passed the burden on to us. Still unresolved, still sleeping on the floor, all while he charges us double occupancy. DO NOT STAY HERE. We had an excellent stay. When we arrived the desk clerk remembered me from the confirmation call for check in. They had the rooms ready for us early since we were there for my son's wedding so we were so grateful. The staff was excellent all the way around. read more

I've stayed in many Hampton Inns and this one does not live up to their standard. I stayed here multiple weeks and each stay I had problems with the cleaning service. -I've stayed in 5 of their rooms and they've all smelled like mildew. -A few of the rooms had leaky AC units that left puddles in the carpet. -During all my visits, they refused to refill the shampoo and conditioner. -During some visits, there were days where they never cleaned the room. -Other days instead of replacing wet towels I placed on the ground, they instead took it and hung them up on the door. The reason I gave them a few shots, is because I'm a loyal HHonors member and they're the only Hilton brand in the area. I'm still going to be loyal to Hilton, but while I'm in Livingston I will be moving my business to the Holiday Inn next door. During my last visit, on the day I decided to move to the Holiday Inn, the cleaning service lady was walking around the breakfast area advocating her political views and giving out "information" to guest. Which I believe is very unprofessional for any employee to be doing during work. read more

We wanted something nice and convenient for a family trip to the nearby lakes. When I realized we would not make it in until a day later I panicked. I called the Hampton and Melanie responded upon hearing my concern quickly. She not only updated my reservation but her professionalism and friendly voice assured me everything was set for us to arrive a day later. The hotel was easy to find and within walking distance to several restaurants. When we arrived Melanie greeted us and even called the room to make sure it was up to par. Melanie is the reason we will be back to this beautiful Texas hillside hotel. Great job Hampton for having such a great employee. read more

Crappy hotel, second time I stayed here this year. This time there were only two towels, one bar of soap and lumpy bed (not even a queen) for my wife and I. An incredibly small room (same size as Asian and most European hotels). Not going to let this place have a third strike! read more
