Clean room, great location and outstanding service. We're driving and planning where to spend the night. After looking at reviews and asking ChatGPT we decided on this hotel. We're driving a Uhaul and it's noisy in the cab. We reach Jay at the hotel and he's having a hard time hearing us but he got my name and he heard that I'm a Hilton Honors member and he said he'll get the rest of the details when we arrive which was 2 hours later. Jay was at the reception desk when we walked in and he was smiling real big. I gave him my honors number and we were off to our room. The room was clean and quiet. Wooohooo!!! I travel a lot so I double check the mattress and bedding when I first enter the room. I don't want to see any signs of beg bugs or any other bugs. Major shout out to this hotel for having the entire mattress in a protective case. I love finding hotels that take this extra precaution. Thank you! Filthy hotel, rooms filthy not cleaned after last guest. Toilets ran all night, phone didn't work. Management very rude, didn't want to talk with me when front desk person was on the phone with him. He stated "how dare I contact he on my day off". Would not compensate us for our terrible experience, offered 10,000 Hilton points, told him it's not money, he started "point is the same as money". This place is a shame on Hilton's name. Had a suite reserved for two months for a sporting event in nearby Guthrie. I had 5 people counting on me for this reservation. The morning that we were flying into OKC, I get an email saying they cancelled my reservation due to declined payment. There was thousands of dollars available on the credit card I put on file. I spoke with another friend who was at the hotel who lost one of his rooms too. He said they gave our room to someone else... Spent 90 minutes trying to work it out with the staff. Nothing. We had to book two different rooms at other hotels day of travel and pay premium rates. I immediately signed up as a Marriott member and have booked with them ever since. This place needs a change of management but you will never get my business. read more

Update. STAY ELSEWHERE. We changed our reservation 10 days before arriving. Told on the phone all would be fine, changed to one night. During check-in, they said the person on the phone couldn't change the reservation and we would have to call corporate. We did. Spent 1-1/2 hours ON THE PHONE the night we checked in. Short story, they charged us for 2 nights. We are disputing the charge with our credit card company. This is fraud. Save yourself and your wallet. STAY ELSEWHERE. FWIW - Breakfast was not ready at 6:40. Was told it would be served at 6:00. We had to be an hour away at OSU 9am graduation. No one was behind the front desk to check us out either. Big surprise. If this continues, I'll be writing the BBB and state Attorney General. This is the kind of experience makes you want to avoid Oklahoma altogether. read more

Yikes. DIRTY! Unhelpful staff (unapologetic for a room full of dirt and hair that had not been cleaned). Gross stay. Here's my chronological experience: I got to my room (after being handed "my keys," aka two plastic cards that weren't keys and gave me instructions for downloading an app and setting up a key through Hilton Honors; fine, just would have been nice to know at the desk before I had all my luggage and was standing outside my room having to do it). There were maybe 5 other rooms occupied when I arrived. I didn't get in early, or late. After driving nearly 5 hours and downloading the app to get in my room, I started to unpack... then noticed six or seven hairs on the pillow. It wasn't a stray one that could have just fallen out of someone's head; I pulled the covers back, and they were so full of short curly (!!!) hairs. Clearly had NOT been cleaned, just bed was made. More hair in bathroom sink, tub, toilet, and on the floor. There were dead bugs near the outlets that looked like possible bed bugs, but I can't say for sure; I've never experienced bed bugs but read other reviewers mention them I took a few pictures and took them back to the front desk. The guy wasn't phased. Him: "Want another room?" Me: "yeah, this one was full of hair and bugs in the bed, bathroom, and on the floor; it definitely hadn't been cleaned." Him: "there's one upstairs." Me: "that'd be great, thanks!" Him: "it's upstairs." Hands me new keys without an apology or another word and goes back to watching Netflix on the computer. I take a super rickety, slow elevator to the second floor (more yikes, and dirt). You could tell they painted over dirt all over the rooms and hallways/elevator. I get to the second room. No hair on/in the bed or dead bugs on the floor, but there were two nasty yellow cleaning rags that smelled like urine (with blood one) just sitting on the bathroom counter. Almost no toilet paper. Dirty shower. Water sprinkles all over toilet seat (I hope this was just from a spray bottle). I have rheumatoid arthritis and didn't want to lug everything out again and switch to a third room, even though I should have. I tried to clean as best I could with some antibacterial supplies in my car when I got back from grabbing dinner. I felt so gross the rest of the trip. The beds were more uncomfortable than even the worst of the worst dorm room beds back when I was in college 15 years ago. They were hard but also creaky loud. I was so glad I brought two pillows, because they were dirty and were broken down and flat from the start. I was in town training for a new job, and I did not sleep more than an hour without waking up. I got maybe 4 hours every night. I had to take the two blankets and bedspread off, because they were full of people/pet hair, and some small stains. Again, The food in the morning was okay. The fridge in my room was sticky, dirty, and had leftover food from the person who stayed there before me. Didn't/couldn't put anything in there. The Keurig-style coffee maker was dusty, dirty inside, and didn't work at all. There were few full-size/normal bathroom towels. There wasn't a bath mat. There were about 20 face towels instead (?). No one at the front desk was helpful, nice, or spoke to anyone. Other people were talking about having dirty rooms in the elevator, and apparently one encountered a moldy shower. They also noticed what everyone hoped and prayed were not bug beds but weren't totally sure. I took a shower at a friend's place because I didn't feel comfortable doing so in my room. I feel badly that my company paid any money for this place at all. It was gross and uncomfortable borderline nightmare and I would never stay here again. I actually considered paying out of my own pocket for a DIFFERENT hotel all together, but couldn't afford to for the duration of my stay. So much ick. I hope someone does a deep clean and fixes this place up. Edmond is a nice town and it wasn't a reflection on the surrounding area. It also wasn't noisy even though it was close to the highway, and had a pretty okay location. There's potential! Bummer it was what it was. Hope someone turns it around. No one staying here is under the impression that it's the Waldorf Astoria, but everyone deserves a clean room, bare minimum. Not any positives. Wish I could say otherwise. read more

We reserved two rooms at the Edmond Hampton for May 17, 18 and 19. The morning of May 19 we were awakened by TOILET water from the room above us pouring into our room through the ceiling at 5:00 AM. Many of our items got wet. We sat in the Lobby for over 4 hours waiting for a new room. At 9:30 we chose to check out and just come home as our trip was obviously ruined. Our other family members also had to leave with us. Not only are we not being credited for the nights we were there, we are being charged for May 19 WHICH WE WERE NOT THERE. The hotel manager has been rude and customer service insists that we were given a new room ("Because it says so in the computer"). WE WERE NOT. At the very least we should have ZERO charges for our rooms. We were not even offered any points for our inconvenience. read more

This business is completely incompetent. I was late for a wedding because I wasn't given access to my room because it wasn't clean until 3:35 when the check in was 3:00 PM. Called multiple times to make sure the room would be ready by 3:00. Walk upstairs to have maids cleaning the room. Then the hot headed owner or manager told me not to be angry there was nothing he could do. The way he talked to me was completely inappropriate. I stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and it was nice. But I stayed here last week for 7 days and I was disappointed. The staff is friendly but they served the same breakfast every day. Potatoes with peppers and onions and sausage patties. We had one day with eggs. No fresh fruit. Same flavor yogurt. They ran out of sugar packets for coffee and the lids for their coffee cups. I overheard a conversation at the front desk about being concerned about running out of toilet paper. We had to switch rooms because the shade to the window was missing and maintenance was unable to replace it. I do not recommend staying here. read more

They tell you where the pool & fitness room are when you check in but I guess they hope you are lazy because fitness center is under construction. No recycling. Many cotravelers complained that the cleaning staff both replenished towels that didn't need it & ignored towels which were on floor per their request to replace. Some said beds were great. If you have stayed in this hotel and have had bedbugs, make sure to report it to the health department, get a copy of your receipt, and file a complaint. I was in room 218 and the morning I woke up (Friday, November 16th) I saw that I had a couple marks on my face when I went into the restroom. I walked back over to the beds in the room and noticed a bug on the pillow of the bed that I hadn't been sleeping on. I got a plastic cup from the room and scooped up the bedbug. Then I noticed bugs directly on the comforter of the bed I was sleeping on. I ended up scooping up 5 bedbugs in plain sight where I had been sleeping (collecting 6 bedbugs in total that were again in plain sight). I should have stripped the beds and flipped them to further investigate, but I didn't. The room was also not cleaned well. The morning I woke up I noticed the floor wasn't swept at the entry way and the toilet, pee had over flowed and was not cleaned up. I brought the cup of 6 bedbugs and told the guy at the front desk that I had a complaint. He got his manager, Kelly Harris, and she apologized. She took off the room cost, but did not give me a receipt. At that point (9:40am) I already had visible bites on my face and hands and told her it would only get worse (since I had been bitten by bedbugs a year before and knew I was more on the higher spectrum for allergic reactions to bedbugs). I got her business card (which she didn't offer to give me, but I asked for) and she said to contact her if I needed anything else. I emailed her on Monday, November 19th with pictures of how bad the bites had gotten and requested she give me the contact information of who I needed to get in touch with to report the incident to have it documented. I also requested she send me my receipt so that I would have proof that I was in the room on that night. I waited 26 hours and got no reply so I called the hotel not thinking that Kelly would be the one to answer. I asked for my receipt and she asked me when I checked in and my last and first name. Once she heard my first name she remembered who I was and said she was sorry for not responding to my email (which I'm sure she wasn't planning on responding to since I've sent 2 emails to her and haven't heard back from her). While talking with her on the phone I asked her for my receipt and she said, "Did you get charged?" I told her I hadn't but that I needed proof of being in the room. She also told me an inspector came in and found nothing (I was shocked! But I haven't seen proof to whether she was telling me the truth). She then asked me where I stayed the night before, as if I was the one to bring them in. She said she would send me a copy of the inspectors report and my receipt, but I never received anything. She also told me there was no form for me to fill out to report the bedbugs, but that she could probably get a form made up. I couldn't believe there was no form! That's also super shady as a hotel chain this big should have a form to file a complaint. I called a few weeks later at night to get my receipt and the girl that answered told me she didn't know why but the system would not let her send me my receipt. I ended up driving the next day 3 hours to get my receipt and then 3 hours back home. Kelly was not in that day, but I did call corporate. In total I had 80+ bites that were on my face, neck, legs, stomach, hands and legs and had a terrible time sleeping after that. The bedbugs at this hotel are likely a tremendous problem that hasn't been dealt with properly and negligence to these types of problems will come back and get them. read more

One of the worst Hampton Inn's I have stayed at, with an excessive price. Poor condition, ignored my room requests. Hotel room actually is scary since part of the roof is right outside of my room (2nd floor), appears to allow access to room from outside (if someone wanted to break into the window) (don't know on this, but the perception is bad enough.) Charges for daily paper, most hotels provide it free. I think it gives the attitude of customer service. (Does provide USA Today at front desk). As with all Hampton Inn's provides free (and excellent) Wi Fi, room also has a refrigerator and microwave, which I have come to expect. Heating system is loud and obnoxious . Check in was excellent, staff was very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was ok, on par with most Hampton Inns. The Fairfield Inn across the street has a rate (for a suite) that is about $20 less. I'll stay there next time, and skip my Hhonors benefits. (Which are supposed to include an upgrade for "Diamond" members, but I have not been upgraded since Hilton started a "guarantee your upgrade" program which requires a large amount of Hhonor points to guarantee what is supposed to be a loyalty benefit. read more

They were NOT following Covid cleaning rules. Even if Covid wasn't going on the room was absolutely disgusting! There were stains on the walls on the carpet, beds and on the ceiling. And the manager Kelly was being super rude when we politely asked for bedding because they forgot some. Then I went back down and asked for pillow cases because they forgot them and got attitude from the manager. There was also bottles filled with yellow substances in the closet. And the tub didn't drain. Also the lobby had absolutely disgusting floors for the day and a half we were there. WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT STAY HERE AT ANY COST!!!!! One of the worst stays I have ever had at a hotel. The guests in the room next door were allowed to bring a dog in, despite the no dog policy. 11pm the dog starts barking. The front desk staff was less than helpful with that situation, but the situation got worse. Once the dog finally stopped, the people in the room did not. They continued with talking loud, playing their tv loudly from 11 pm until 3:30 am. I called down to the front desk repeatedly and nothing was resolved. By 3:30 am the people next door were shouting, banging on the walls, etc. I could have sworn that someone was getting beaten up with the sounds of things and I was scared to death to leave my room to enter the hallway to get out of there. The front desk claims they called the police but I later realized they hadn't. Finally I insisted on being escorted out of my room and down to the lobby where I demanded being moved to another room. I was told that there weren't any other rooms but after telling them that I was scared, they suddenly produced a list of empty rooms for me to move to. In the middle of this, two men from the room next to me left the hotel with a ~ 1 year old baby. By this time it was 4am. The clerk that night said that I would not be charged for my room. Wanting confirmation of managements knowledge of this situation, and confirmation of my room not being charged, I checked back in at the front desk with numerous desk clerks the next two days only to be told that they don't have control over their guests and that I will have to pay for that nights stay. Finally upon checkout, I spoke to the manager and he finally acknowledged that what I encountered was not acceptable and that the hotel would not charge me for not only that night, but two nights. I was happy for finally getting the service that I should have received from the 1st night that it happened. But, of course, all didn't end well. No refund ever showed up on my credit card and I am now forced to dispute the charges. The most unprofessional hotel employees I have ever seen. I have stayed at numerous Hampton Inn's and this location falls way below the standards that I have seen at many others across our country. Shameful that they don't acknowledge an ongoing customer and do the right thing to keep them coming back. read more

I was hoping to come and give this property a positive update. It is VERY run down - it's possible it's under construction - but they have a long way to go if so. I recently needed to stay at this hotel because my home was being remodeled. All I can say is that throughly enjoyed my stay. The manager Karlie is by far the most attentive GM I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I don't think she never goes home, seems she was always at the front desk morning, noon and night. I had several family members in town for Mothers Day that also stayed at the this hotel. We were treated like royalty by the very professional staff. The hotel is currently going through an extensive remodel inside and out which will likely make this hotel one of the nicest in the area. I really enjoyed the free breakfast that was always hot and diverse. My family also enjoyed the indoor pool very much. I would recommend this hotel to any weary traveler that is looking for a nice hotel to rest their bones!! read more

I cannot believe this is a Hampton Inn! Where to start? At check-in, the evening clerk seemed confused by our reservation and had the wrong credit card number on it. I guess I could have charged my rooms to someone else! The hallway carpets were stained and the elevator needed a good polishing to get fingerprints off of it. The room was dark, worn, and not clean. Daily cleaning was minimal - I came back to find half empty cups of cold coffee, for example, still sitting on the dresser. We reported a maintenance issue with one of the room toilets to the front desk, and it was never addressed. To top it all off, my room had BED BUGS and I am currently trying to obtain a refund from the hotel management as a result. I came home with countless bites on my arms, legs, and neck. Upon researching, this hotel has had bed bug complaints in the past, so I'm not the only one! I gave this hotel two stars instead of one because most of the staff was very friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the waffles are great :). read more

The staff was super friendly and I really enjoyed the coffee bar but there were ants all in the bathroom and maybe it's because our room was located near an exit door but there was no excuse for all the cobwebs above our door on the outside. I am not exactly sure how this hotel qualifies as a Hampton Inn. I don't even know where to begin. I spent hard earned Honor Points on this stay and I must say, I was not satisfied at all. I do not know this history of this building but I can tell you that it was probably once an Economy Inn or a Mom and Pop Inn. The walls are paper thin, while sitting on the toilet I could hear the man on the toilet in the room next to me talking to himself. Every single door that opened was slammed shut and it vibrated my entire room. My door shook continuously. The fire alarms in the hallway went off every morning of my stay and woke me up. The maids woke me up by knocking on my door at 0830 (what hotel ever starts cleaning rooms at 0830?). The maids are also very, very loud in the morning. They are talking and laughing and making all kinds of racket in the hallway. I noticed that the managers are never around like the other Hampton Inn's that I have stayed at. I feel that may be part of the problem. The toilet handle has to be jiggled every time that you flush it or it will run and run and run and run. The bath tub is rusting over on the inside and the bathroom door will not latch closed. About the only good thing about this stay was the standardized "Hampton Breakfast", you know, the same breakfast that every Hampton Inn serves. Very unsatisfied with my four night stay, and I was sure to let management know about it, who in turn only reimbursed me for only one night worth of Honor Points which took me several months to earn. read more
