I found my stay here to be adequate. It was a bit pricey at well over $100 a night, but that is probably a function of my timing, which was at a very busy time for them. In fact, there were no rooms available for many of the days I was traveling. I dealt mostly with Donna, who was very accommodating and helpful in a stressful time when she seemed to be the only person working. She managed to keep breakfast stocked (a typical eggs and sausage affair) as well as manage the desk. My room was nice and left little room for complaint. On that note, the internet was very slow at times but overall that was not an issue.

The amenities, cleanliness, and layout were much to my liking. Breakfast was about as good as I found in any hotel in the area, with eggs and sausage rounding out an otherwise continental offering. Also, the price was among the lowest in the area. In fact, it was the same price as the Econo Lodge in LeMars, which was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. I would say this is an excellent choice.

The Main Street Inn has thought of everything--from complimentary snacks and drinks on every floor to a well-stocked game cabinet in the community lounge. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated. Carson, the owner, is always nearby and ready to help with any questions or needs, making the experience feel far beyond that of a typical hotel. It truly felt like being welcomed into someone's home, while still enjoying the privacy you'd expect. Breakfast was a highlight. Carson asked what time we'd like to eat and happily accommodated our family's needs--even when we changed our time just ten minutes beforehand. That level of care and flexibility was so appreciated. I'm unsure of the prices, as I'm staying for work but the amenities seem pretty good for the price, the parking lot is large and offers room for any person bob-tailing. It's next to a Verizon, half a block from an amazing Mexican restaurant, in front of a Walmart, and Goodwill. I don't see how anyone could be unhappy with all of that at your fingertips. The rooms are clean, spacious, maintained (for the most part. I have crumbling and broken tile in the bathroom, some full tiles have popped up) decently, there are no erroneous hairs, no dust, the AC/HEAT works wonderfully and the front desk staff was very friendly. The only thing missing is a decent view. Would stay here again.
