This place is undergoing a remodel and my son in law and his kids had to traipse down a long hallway full of buckets, junk, trash and tripping hazards not to mention the tarps hanging down to get to their rooms at the end of the hall. Nothing was said about it and these kids were exhausted from flying and driving and this was late. They were also distraught that their dad/grampa is on hospice care. They should have been given rooms in the area that is NOT being refurbished. THIS IS NOT THE HILTON WAY. read more

My wife and I typically stay at Hampton Inns when we travel cross country with good experiences, so we assumed this one would be no different. The young lady that checked us in was pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, the room smelled like it was sprayed with something meant to hide certain odors- perhaps a smoker stayed there. The AC did not circulate well in the room, so it was uncomfortably warm at night and we did not sleep well. The breakfast was an even bigger disappointment. The food (eggs, bacon/sausage) was cold, the orange juice must have been very old because it tasted sour and off-putting, and the other fruit juices in the dispenser - and even the coffee- were excessively watered down. We ended up having breakfast somewhere else. We will not be returning there. read more

Everything you expect from any Hilton property. Clean rooms, good bed, quiet night. So I was not disappointed. It is also pet friendly, more about that later. They had a large sign out front saying "new management". It does appear they are doing the bit of extra to build business, They did a good breakfast, standard pastries, bagels, make your own waffles cereal selection and fruit. Stayed a night here and enjoyed our stay. Front desk lady was super friendly upon checking me in and helped change my room to a 2 queen bed. No cookies at check-in (bc shipment hadn't arrived), but lemonade was refreshing after a long drive. Dinner social (changes daily): chili, rice, cornbread, apple pie We were placed at the end of the hallway. Couldn't sleep until after I put ear plugs in because of a rocking and vibrating sound cofrom the wall where the headboard of the bed was. My dad thinks it's from the A/C unit in the hallway. Breakfast: fruit, waffle station, eggs, sausage patty, biscuit & gravy, bagels, toast, pastries, oatmeal station, cold cereal, coffee, milk, juice There were a lot of construction workers staying the night here as well. I'm so glad they're able to stay here while repairing the roads and damages from the hurricane. The community needs them. read more

The service is what makes this place stand out! They remembered my name, which is like plus 50 points to me! I do come here quite a bit for work, but they do remember me! If you've ever stayed in a Hampton Inn, you know what to expect here. Though not luxurious, it's very clean, plus you get free parking, internet, and breakfast. The TV was a little bit old (not a flat LCD), but I didn't really mind. The toiletries were standard Hampton Inn style, which is pretty low-end, but this location does include make-up removal wipes and mouthwash, which I appreciated. One tip--reserve your room well in advance. For some reason, this hotel really books up on weeknights. I've been unable to get a reservation a few times because they were already full, and there are no other Hilton properties nearby to choose from. read more

We used this location for a baby shower, and if you're in the area and needing to host a gathering of 25-75, I would absolutely recommend this Hampton Inn. We did considerable research, and this was the nicest place in our price range. The maintenance manager was helpful and friendly, working with me to make sure I was absolutely happy with the table setup. They provided table linens, tables, and chairs - and a ladder for us to hang decor from the ceiling, small tables for the favors, etc. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful, too - and they made sure to keep the AC on high for us, which rocked, since it was July. The Victoria Hampton Inn is fairly new and follows the model. Most of the people staying there seem to be connected with the recent oil boom in the region and are regular visitors. Booked a room for business as I was traveling into the area to support and coordinate post Hurricane Harvey. Was due to be there on Monday and received a call early Sunday morning informing me that my room was cancelled as they overbooked. No other explanation was offered with very little sympathy from the lady informing me of the change. After trying to talk it through with her she said "if you don't like it you can call my GM Crystal". I did call Crystal who was very pleasant and explained the situation which I totally understand and empathize with. However I was still left without a room or any help finding a room at another hotel or anything! Poor customer service, especially for a supposedly "valued" rewards member. read more

it was hard to take away two stars, but they completely inconvenienced me for days. when making the reservation i specifically asked if they were going to charge anything to my credit card i was giving and she said no, not once, but twice when i asked again. no they will not charge anything to my card. morning of the stay i get a charge on my card. yes it was pending, but my bank takes the money away and it becomes unavailable. i called the hotel and they said they always pre authorize the day of. well i was staying two days, which means the following day they would charge me again. so $260 later.....its so frustrating to ask a specific question, get a straight forward answer, and then have it be wrong. thats just bad customer service to me. and now, 4 business days later, its still pending and unavailable, even though i paid for the two night stay with cash. our stay was good. the rooms were clean, and breakfast was good. i just wish they could notify me about the pre auth charge. read more

Very nice hotel for the Victoria area.. A refrigerator and microwave is in the room. Breakfast is available in the lobby area every morning. There is a nice outdoor pool area, laundry, exercise room, business rooms and free internet access. This was my first trip to Victoria and my last however, the Hampton Inn made it more enjoyable and definitely comfortable. We had a nice, clean, large room. The shower was relaxing, the bed was comfy, the pillows were perfect for my husband (it was his business trip so that's what was important). The in-room coffee was good where in most other hotels only the lobby coffee is decent. The hot and cold breakfast was a pleasant surprise. We loved having a hot breakfast (eggs, sausage, potatoes) along with choices of breads, juices, coffee, water and milk to start our day. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Victoria. read more

Nice hotel or should I say nice chain. Was really surprised at the rate though. Paid more than I pay in Dallas or Houston.

The most comfortable beds ever! Very clean, nice restroom. However, there was a huge problem in the middle of the night with the people next door that checked in AFTER us yelling, cussing, slamming doors constantly. We had our three year old sleeping and we had just come from a very long 3 days and a funeral, exhausted. So I called the front desk and the young woman that answered said she would let them know. So she called and asked them to keep it down. They got even louder after that. Then my boyfriend called her and asked if she could move us or them. She said she didn't have any rooms we could move to and that we could check out and find a different hotel. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WITH OUR 3 YEAR OLD. We felt very upset about this because we weren't the ones causing a disturbance. We ended up hardly sleeping and feeling frustrated and treated unfairly. Fortunately, someone who was respectful and courteous made it right this morning when we checked out. So my advice when checking in late at this hotel- try to make sure you ask her not to put a party next door to you. read more

It was a last minute trip to Victoria and so we booked the Hampton Inn on the way. The room was clean and the lobby was comfortable and the breakfast was great, but this is not the reason I am writing the review. My boyfriend began to suffer from intense heart burn/acid reflux during the night. It escalated to the point that he was pacing around the room in agony. I called the front desk and the night manager, Linda, answered. I inquired if they had any tums or heartburn meds there at the front desk. Linda began immediately checking all of the first aid kits. After a while, she called back and said that she had no success in finding anything, but began to search the employee's room. Then, after not finding anything there, she went out to her car to look there in case she had some with her. At about 5:30am when the continental breakfast was being set up, I went to the lobby and eventually got a glass of milk to see if that would help. Linda was there again to offer her assistance. She certainly went above and beyond to try to help us during that sleepless night. Thank you Linda!!!! read more
