Went to get a req for bloodwork last week, never to get a call back stating my results were in as I had to call the clinic then was told I needed to come in as a walk in. I go in at 1:02 as they stated they start taking walk ins at 9am or 1pm. when I got there I was notified that it would be a half hour wait as they only had one doctor and I said that's fine and I asked to wait in my car since the wait room chairs were full, (there's only a few) and the admin said that was fine and would call upon my turn. after an hour wait I go back inside to see why its taking so long just for the other admin to notify me that there's still 14 people ahead of me and I asked how that's so when I got here at 1:02 and they only start taking walk ins at 1 and that the other employee had told me when I got here it was only a half hour wait. she proceeded to tell me that everyone else started registering at 12:30 and that it will still be a 2 hour wait. Dont come here if you're indigenous as they will just put you to the bottom of the line. The doctor I seen to get my req for bloodwork also seemed in a rush and didn't really want to hear about my concerns. read more

Speaking for my family Doctor, Dr. Sun who practices at this very clinic, I cannot say enough good things about this young man. He is a professional and a gentlemen who has always provided great advice and help for myself and my family. I can't speak for any of the other doctors in the clinic, but I could only hope they are following his example of pride and professionalism. read more

It's convenient location makes it worth the wait, but I find that the staff are rude and the doctors always seem to be rushed. I would only recommend coming here if you already know what's wrong and your looking for a specific fix for your problem. read more

Fast walk-in on labour day, took 10 minutes tops. HORRIBLE doctor however, I went in thinking I had strep throat. The doctor did the cotton swab test which takes 5-10 minutes. DIDN'T wait for the test to finish and wrote me a prescription for 300mg Penicillin. 2 days later I'm in the ER barely able to speak and in immense pain, the doctor at the hospital said I had mono and that Dr. Sun hadn't done his job properly and jeopardized my safety by giving me antibiotics when there's no bacterial infection. Wouldn't recommend this clinic to anyone, I could've had severe health issues. Even now it's a couple days later and I still have mono that could last 3 weeks to 6 months. If Dr. Sun had discovered it was mono before I could've been prescribed oral steroids. Now I'm in the worst pain I've ever been. Please don't go to this clinic. read more

I had to write a review after seeing such low ratings from a few years back.I've been coming to this clinic since it opened (it's my backup clinic) and always come as a walk in. I have never once experience or witnessed rude staff, they have been able to squeeze me in quickly during an emergency and I have never waited for more than an hour as a walk in. I don't know if these people were over exaggerating on time (there's going to be a wait if you're walking in, I cannot fathom a 3-5 hour wait, that's absurd) or had a rare bad experience, but every doctor I have ever seen (which is my only slight complaint, I had 2 female Dr.s there who I LOVED and was seeing regularly but both moved to other clinics) is friendly, takes their time with me and thorough. I even had Dr. Tran call me to check up on me when I had food poisoning. GREAT doctors and WONDERFUL and KIND staff have kept me loyal. read more

This clinic is a mess!!!! Appointments are made in the wrong name and when you show up they say you are mistaken, even with the card they gave me with date and time. No efforts to accomodate busy schedule of patients - it's all about thru-put = $$$$$$$$. - We even received a bill for the missed appointment, I don't get it!! One appointment i had, they had the wrong chart in the room, left it there unattended, this is a big privacy issue in my mind. Looking for new Doctor? Don't waste your time here. read more

Dr David Sun always takes his time in finding out the issue and refer to experts when necessary. He is very responsible and enthusiastic in his job. Always put full energy into his time with a patient. Recently, he has saved my father! My father had complained of short breath and Dr Sun then sent my father for an X-Ray on his lung. The lung check was done around 9 am, and Dr Sun had called us in at 11 am to give us his diagnosis - Pneumothorax. At the same time, he was getting in touch with the experts in Royal Hospital. He then got the expert opinion to admit my father into hospital in time. In the early evening of the same day, my father received a tubing procedure very quickly to remove the air inside his lung which had led his lung to clap. It could be dangerous if the air bubble pushed his heart. My father was discharged by the hospital the third day after the tube was removed. My family doctor quit without any advance notice or even setting up another physician to take her place, the only way I found out was when I called them to book an appointment. Overall, have not been entirely impressed with them in the past - have always ended up waiting over a half hour for a booked appointment (typically during my daytime job hours), and have noticed as well the wait time for walk-in patients to be quiet lengthy. I am currently seeking out another physician and medical centre, please don't waste your time either. read more

As a walk in patient, it was easy enough to get an appointment. However, I required some travel advice and injection for an upcoming overseas trip as well as asthma medication - all of which incurred fees. I asked the doc first about the injections - his response was for ME to research and tell HIM what I needed. I do NOT class that as 'travel advice'. What if I told him the wrong thing? And secondly, asthma medication... again, I had to tell him what was required. No history talk, or examination.... Everyone else seems to have a different experience than me. i've been there 3 times and never had to wait more than a hour. With walk-in thats a miracle. They haven't sent me home and told me to thats nothing wrong. They actually do tests and write me a prescription. Helpful since I've had strept twice this year. Last year got it as well and the doc (somewhere else) didn't believe me and kept sending me home (so much pain). I like it so much, I've signed up as a new patient. read more

I agree with the other comments. I recently became a patient at the Hampton Medical clinic and was rushed through my appointment. I didn't get a chance to ask any questions and the doctor was running out the door. I had to yell out the door after him to get a prescription refill. I won't be going back. read more

The new doctor at this location, Dr Sameni, is great. He carefully listens to the patients, and will to go extra steps to help them. It is sad that he does not take any new patient as family doctor, but you can see him as a walk-in patient. I agree with other reviewers about Dr Mousa though. She was not made for the job. read more

This clinic has unprofessional staff. They mismanage everything from which patient is next in line to getting a referral processed properly. The doctors are not much better than the front end staff. Stay away from here! read more

The phone system doesn't work properly. I tried to book an appointment by phone, the system ask to press 7 to book an appointment, and got the message that "the person I tried to reach is not available". Other extensions (0-9) doesn't work neither. Tried to book an appointment in the office: staff are busy by themselves, and nobody even noticed that the new person came in or just ignored. I actually did interrupt the conversation of the ladies ( 3 of them ) behind the front desk to attract theirs attention to me. read more

Never go there again.. Waiting period is too long even when there are no patients.. may be after you enter.. they call the doctors from home.. If you try to call them on phone, then your 30-45 mins is gone. there are so many options given and every option/number returns you to the main menu.. please press '1' blah blah blah... This is by far the WORST clinic I have ever been to in my entire life. It doesn't even deserve one star. The clinic is extremely understaffed, and not trained properly. On top of that the doctors are rude, incompetent and don't focus on patient well being or health care. Dr Rey-Perra should not be practicing medicine, and is clearly only in it for a paycheck. She wanted to prescribe me Zofran when I was pregnant to combat nausea/vomiting but it's been linked to multiple birth defects. Had I have not done my own research; I would have taken a drug that could potentially harm my baby. All of my prenatal checkups were done very quickly and not ONCE did she provide me any valuable information. On top of that the clinic double books patients so when you have an appointment expect to wait for over an hour to only be seen for less than 5 minutes. The staff are rude, and don't go out of their way for patients. I called to get a simple prescription renewal and all they had to do was fax over the prescription to shoppers but REFUSED to do so and said I had to come in. Their business hours don't reflect My schedule well and they refused to help me at all and said either I come in or too bad and I would need to go somewhere else. The ONLY reason I went to this clinic for my family was because its close to us, but we will NEVER be going back and I don't recommend any of their doctors or this clinic to anyone. Stay far away from here and don't even bother wasting your time. They have no value or respect for health care and only care about themselves. Horrible service from Gill and Ling at this location. What a joke! This is the medical clinic closest to where I live, and after several very disappointing attempts at treatment, I finally was lucky enough to be seen by Dr. Cheung - who was fantastic! Although I was a walk-in patient that day, she agreed to take me on as a patient, and I was ecstatic (I've lived in Edmonton more than 7 years now without a regular doctor). She escorted me to the front reception where she requested that I be put in to the system as a patient of hers. The girl at the front acknowledged this and said she'd get right on it. Well, now, several months later, I am experiencing symptoms that required urgent medical opinion and when I called in to make an immediate appointment, I was informed that Dr. Cheung was no longer there. I had not been informed of her leaving at all! What makes it worse, is that whoever she had addressed, asking for me to be put in as a patient of hers, DIDN'T DO IT! So now, I am back down to "walk-in" status and need to wait again to be taken on by another doctor. The receptionist I spoke with had absolutely no sympathy for the situation, and frankly, just didn't care. In fact, after keeping me on hold for more than 20 minutes, and our discussing the situation, she simply hung up after telling me to come back as a walk-in. The other doctors I have seen before have been rude, impatient, and made me feel like a paycheque instead of a patient. At this point, I am very willing to drive back to Calgary if need be to see someone who is capable of performing their duties with care. The receptionists here suck, and definitely need to be on some happy pills; and the doctors are in need of a memory refresher as to why they chose this profession in the first place. Also, just in case you are wondering, the other people who have posted for this business are speaking the truth. On a good day, you wait. On a bad day, you wait longer. Happy staff? I think not.
