That being said -- I can't stand the receptionists here. They are really rude, barely give you a smile when you walk in the door. Whenever you have questions, they are very short with you and give you very little information. Also, it does not seem to matter if I make an appointment early in the day, or at the last appointment spot, I am always kept waiting. Today I went in for a 9:15am appointment and I was told to come half an hour open. When I showed up at 8:45, the door was still locked! The receptionist finally came to open the door for me, but I was confused as to what I was doing there so early. I wasn't brought into the exam room until 9:30 and my doctor didn't see me until 10:00am, a full 45 minutes after my appointment time. I was super frustrated.

While highly intuitive and observing, he won't jump to conclusions before he's gotten the necessary x-rays or MRIs to be absolutely sure. But his initial diagnosis has always been spot on. He's a friendly doc who, unlike many docs, isn't rushing in and out of rooms. He takes time to talk with you. He's older, so he went to med school about 40 years ago but keeps up on all the recent research. When you come into his office, he is usually at his desk doing some reading of the latest medical journals. It's probably why he has so many patients and can't accept new patients. Also if he knows you don't have a medical plan he's very generous with samples from pharmaceutical companies.

The staff are friendly and efficient and the doctors are knowledgeable and caring. I've found that appointments can run behind schedule at times and I have had to wait even when I had booked an appointment in advance. On my first visit I was told that they can run late because the doctors prefer to give their patients the time they need rather than stay on a strict schedule. I have found this to be true when I have required more time to discuss my health needs with the doctor. Overall excellent clinic I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I was taken in about 5 minutes before my appointment time even though the waiting room was packed. I did spend about 25 minutes past my appointment time alone in the exam room, however the doctor came in apologizing profusely saying she had to spend a little extra time comforting her last patient, totally understandable. I've recently started seeing Dr. Mcevoy (spelling?) and she is absolutely wonderful. She's caring and listens and explains and thinks out loud as to what her thoughts are and courses of action - "hmm, we could try this, what are your thoughts?" and so on. She even sat there and googled images and explained about my neck issues and how muscles and discs lead to pain, pointing out where my issues were. The reception can be a little blunt at times and I was given the wrong date for my last appointment and missed it. Lesson learned, phone a couple days beforehand to make sure. He took great lengths to listen and he genuinely cared about my well being. Since then , he became my personal doctor and has always been really professional and courteous. He is not one of those doctors that listens, grabs the prescription pad, makes a scribble and off you go. Thats just not him. Regardless of what others have said about the clinic and Dr Hamid , I have always found it to be the opposite. Staff are friendly and the wait times are not more than an hour ( if you do a walk in ). Dr. Stromberg is a new Doctor there who took over my file when my Doctor retired. Dr. Stromberg doesn't look at you during your appointment, like she can't be bothered. If you are there and need to show her why you came in, she tells you, "I don't need to see it" in a snarky matter. Then how can you help fix it if you don't know what it is? I have another family member that was transferred to her as well. She was called into the office for test results and Dr.Stromberg did not even know why she was there. Dr. Stromberg didn't bother to find the letter to see the results, just started making her own suggestions. When people have been going through years and years of treatment already, and the doctor cannot even be bothered to read anything to make NEW and APPROVED suggestions, it is a waste time. Dr. Stromberg could care less about her patients and this is coming from multiple ones. Never did get the test results.
