Stay Away from this business. My former accountant of 40 years passed away so I had to find someone to prepare my taxes. I did not sell any stocks or real estate so I just needed a simple 1040 form prepared. I spoke to Steve on the phone that owns the business and prepares tax returns.He stated it would be $200. I brought my W-2 and other forms to his office and he said it would be done next week and i once again asked about the price and he said $200. I called him 6 days later and asked if I could pick up my taxes. He stated that he told me that it would be done by April 10th and I told him that he said it would be done by next week. He then stated that the was with a client and he was very busy and stressed out and he he wanted to hang up because "he didn't want to say something he would later regret and then hung up on me. He called me back one hour later and apoligized for what he said. He then tried to charge me $300 dollars andI quickly pointed out to him that we agreed on a fee of $200 and he quickly agreed.
