Reasonable pricing. Lots of offerings if you are into anything Korean. Deli food are fairly fresh if get them early. Also they seem to be discounted after 6 pmish. Don't quote me the exact time. The plus side is the cleanish aisles, and bountiful of variety from fruits to fish. Bit of a downer is most labels/descriptions are in Korean.

I think this place has more Korean instant noodles than I have seen anywhere else (H Mart and T&T). The prices seemed high if they were not on offer. I was also tempted to get the huge tin of sesame oil as it was so much cheaper than getting a small bottle. Then again I will not use it that quickly before it goes bad, so savings are good if you buy in bulk. I bought the tuna kimbap instead. It was nice, much better than H-Mart, but not as good as the Korean place - Kimbap Cheonguk - on North Road (neaby) which is my gold standard for kimbap. I like the ready-cooked food and also the pre-packed ingredients for you to make your stew and dishes. Very convenient. I will be back next time to buy the package for the DIY army stew (budae jjigae).

The manager has very poor customer service skills. She is very rude, that is why the cashiers emulate the same behavior.

I think most people would probably still prefer to shop at H-mart though.

Not my…read morefirst time in this supermarket but I really enjoyed this visit a lot more than any of my previous visits. They have more selection here than I recall there being in the past. It's been a very long time since I last stepped foot in this place so maybe it's just my faulty memory, but it really did seem like they had expanded their offerings at this place. The fried foods were what really stood out for me. I don't recall this being here at all. It took a lot of restraint for me to not buy anything from here. Deep fried squid, deep fried vegetables, deep fried seaweed roll, tornado potato...etc. They all looked so tempting. I grabbed a couple boxes of Kimbap (One Burdock Kimbap and a Fried Gourd Kimbap) plus a Rice drink that was on sale for $1.99. They also had some Triangular Maki (Onigiri) for sale. No Vegetarian flavors. Tuna was the only flavor I could have eaten since I'm Pescatarian. I decided to stick with the Vegetarian Kimbaps though. Upon first glance, I thought the rice drink was made just from rice milk and that it would be dairy free. It was only when I got home that I read the ingredients label and realized that there was actually some milk in it. Not a problem for me, but for anyone who has lactose intolerance...be sure to check ingredient labels always. Anyways, this Rice drink was Sweet Potato flavored. Ever had a Sweet Potato flavored drink? I thought it sounded like a really interesting flavor, and of course...being on sale, that was extra incentive to try something new. I shared it with my daughter. I think she wasn't too impressed with it. Personally, I loved it. It really did taste like sweet potato. I found that quite impressive. This is a great place to stop for quick and tasty take out foods, and interesting drinks like the Sweet Potato Rice drink I tried. Their bakery section looked very tempting as well.

We had the opportunity to drop into this Mediterranean and Persian grocery for a first-time look…read morerecently, while browsing/shopping a few stores in Burquitlam Plaza, before heading to lunch in the area. Some of my first look observations: - overall freshness of some of the produce (fruits & veggies) lacked appeal -- some decent finds, but root veggies, and such, had definitely long passed any 'date' for me to consider purchasing. - good, large, and highly-varied selections of canned, bottled, and otherwise packaged Mediterranean products. - nice looking selection of Mediterranean breads. - good looking, quality selections of Halal, fresh, and prepared meats and poultry - chicken, lamb, sausages (some beef, and beef w/cheese, sure looked good), and such - and some smoked fish (whole, smoked whitefish sure caught my eye). - I thought prices for brand name products I know and use, were rather high -- but I am unable to relate to the prices of most of the other stuff, as they are mostly specialty products I do not know. I am glad to have had the chance at that time to pop into this store for look -- I'm a big fan of these "small, local, neighbourhood" stores. Hope to have the opportunity for another look soon, and with what I saw this time, have some solid ideas of what I will be looking for that visit!

But they have a lot of unusual and interesting Persian foods that I'd just never seen before, even at other Persian markets. And the fellow at the counter was warm and friendly, and even the security guy hanging out nearby was kind enough to zip up my bag of okra for me. I'd go back.
