Then out of no where they call us to say that they overbooked and we were being dropped. They couldn't guarantee us any enrollment date but just offered to let us wait another 12 months. I feel like this is an absolutely unacceptable business practice. We were essentially wait listed but led to believe we had a guaranteed spot. So we had no Plan B and were forced to look for another daycare last minute and had to accept the first one that had availability with such short notice.

We chose this one as it was new and the classroom for the 2 year old program had a smaller ratio of children compared to others among other things that seemed great on the outside. Registered and filled out all required paperwork turned in a week in advance that included an all about me page to inform the teachers of my child's likes/dislikes etc..Come start day MONDAY March 7, complete chaos from the time I tried to enter the building. Walked down to her room 5 go in and kids are just running around toys everywhere no organization just complete chaos! A kid had an area rug pulled up and was underneath it another had a large plastic table on its side and another kid was laying on top of a play kitchen set. I also observed a pen and pencil in hands reach on the table with an iPad that was all next to the little sink the kids use. I then ask if my child has a cubby for all her things as this was her first day they should have been prepared for her first day and had a cubby the teacher ms Cynthia or Cindy came over and says no we don't so she just takes the bag of diapers and wipes her nap mat I have and shoves them in a cubby she finally introduces her self and the other teacher ms deserea and then asks me if there is anything they need to know about my child! I filled out a full front and back page telling them all about my child! They had no clue she was starting or who she was! I proceed back up to the front after leaving my child I should have just left right then! I tell the lady at the front what I just experienced and her answer was "It must be the weather " . What an excuse. I get on the camera app and see kids running all around I don't see any teachers paying attention or interacting with the kids still just chaos. The lady up front goes in the room I can see her getting the kids to sit at the tables they get shaving cream out and the kids are all smearing it all over the tables and themselves this is mens shaving cream( my child smells of it when I picked her up I know ) so now my child goes up to one teacher looks as if she is upset she doesn't like it on her hands that teacher just blew her off so she walks over to the other teacher and she picks her up under both arms and swings her over to the chair plops her in it and pushes it up to the table! I'm watching this all unfold on camera so I'm pissed . I go right back in ask to talk to the director Ms Monica just explained everything that happened and all I could get was I'm sorry ! Totally unacceptable no one will treat my child like that ! Also you can only login a certain amount of times before it tells you you can't log back in til the next day for camera access! No one told me that on the tour! I took my child out this all happened in just an hour I can only imagine what else goes on all damn day ! I can't get in touch with the owners either no number for Kayla or Michael Dority to inform them what's going on at their childcare facility. The staff needs to go through more training of how to comfort and direct a child that's upset . My child has never been in childcare she has been home with me for 2 years. This is the only place we toured that made us feel comfortable and that our kiddos took well to immediately. I was a stay-at-home mom for two years, so, I was really worried about the transition for my children as well as myself; but all the staff -- Director and Owner's of this location included, were so welcoming and accommodated all of our needs. Since starting, my kids have flourished! Their social skills are great, they learn so much on a regular basis and love the teachers and staff. They get to participate in sensory learning activities where my kids can be kids and are still learning, plus other things like "Fun Fridays" keep things exciting and different. I can't say enough great things about this place! I truly see how much my kids enjoy it and how much the staff reciprocates that back. Other places were pushy and made my kids seem more like a check than something to be cherished. Another thing to note; I can check in/out on my phone in the app but I also get regular updates about my boys (pictures, what they eat/drink, if they need more items like diapers or wipes) so that is really nice and there is another app too peek in and see how they are doing if I feel the need.

The environment is rich with learning, love, kind, diverse, and organized! Everything from making payments to the most minimum of things comes with ease. Technology is A-1 and the director is always seeking ways to enhance the center for the betterment of our children as well as the staff. Now about the cleanliness-my biggest pet-peeve! Most daycares that I've entered, be it morning or afternoon wreaked with strange odors-never at CLA. The staff is always friendly, actively engaged with the children and focused on the task at hand. We came with a list of questions, which they answered each and everyone of them. Just seeing how happy the kids were and not shy to say hi to us. Even the parents without prompt could easily tell we were new parents looking for a daycare and we had several parents walk by saying "hey, you'll love it here so don't looked any where else". Since day one we have been beyond happy with this location and those parents were so right! The location visually looked clean, smelled clean, happy kids, happy teachers, great curriculum, keep us informed, and of course adhere to COVID precautions. As being a FTM they were very patient with all my questions through out the day while I was at work. Which is so important because I have other friends that have their kids in other daycares and literally cry at work because they feel their daycare makes them feel like they are a bother or that their worry isn't warranted. When I hear this I am grateful that I found a daycare that I trust to care for my daughter, feel comfortable with all aspects, and great communication. The facility does not have a camera but that wasn't a deal breaker from us. The app they use provides us detailed information on her diaper changes, activities, pictures of them at daycare, meal/bottle times and how much they consumed, and nap times. Instead of calling if it isn't urgent your can communicate with them throught the message tab. Which totally helps especially if you are busy at work and can't be on the phone. I personally prefer no camera so that it prevents hackers to hack into it and see.my daughters routine for potential sex traffickers. Very paranoid about that. Teachers: Ms. Nguyen was one of my daughter's infant 1 teachers and she would initially be in the room to receive my daughter. The first day I dropped her off and watched through the window they placed her in a bouncer, Ms. Nguyen went to her and Quinn quickly smiled at her. That made my heart melt and of course provided me comfort. Other morning Ms. Nguyen would bring her to the window and have Quinn see us. Ms. Sayler became my daughter's favorite teacher. She has been with my daughter in the infant 1 room since the first day she has been attending. She is the afternoon teacher and would bring my daughter out to me when I pick her up and let me know how she did that day. You can tell how quickly they formed a bond with each other and it was super cute. We are sad that she won't be at Primrose in the new year to care for our next baby but happy for her new venture. I know my daughter will miss her dearly and probably realize it when she goes looking for her. Ms. Vitellio is her main infant 2 teacher and she is so sweet and super chill, which I admire for handling little humans all day! She was great in picking up teething cues, learned our daughters fake cries, weaning her off her pacifier, and helping her grow developmentally. Ms. Mary is the owner of this location but very visible! How she remembers every kids names and parents is beyond me but impressive. She is out and about helping out, which I feel is important to be hands on. My daughter also is familiar and comfortable with her which lets me know that she is very hands on! She also gives us updates on what she observes about our daughter. Ms. Cochran is the director which I know is hard to do during a pandemic and making those phone calls when a parent, child, or teacher test positive. She has always been friendly and non stressed when we see her and also knows the kid and parents well. Everyone at the front desk as well gives us updates on our child and greets us with warmth. The facility as a whole that we have interacted with has been so welcoming, friendly, and truly amazing! We started looking for a daycare / montessori when my son was 15 months. We were worried because he…read morehad not been around people much other than his parents and grandparents. He also had a ton of allergies - milk, seafood, and tree nuts. We visited over 7 schools for him and read every single review for each of the places. We were most impressed with Primrose. Miss Natalie was professional and patient with us during our tour as we asked question after question. I also loved their system of having every kids picture in the classroom with their allergies listed next to their face. They seemed very organized. When we started, our son would still cry at drop off and took longer than most kids to adjust but the school helped us through it. The teachers were loving and looked out for our son and I would literally call every 1-2 hours and ask for an update and they would often send a photo through the portal when I did. About 6 months into our time there, we started Oral Immunotherapy for our son's milk allergy. As a part of that, we were able to trial and error small portions of foods that contained milk. Every Monday, Miss Kari and I still go through the weekly menu and talk through what foods my son should try for the week and what portions. Now my son has overcome his milk allergy and the school was a huge help in getting us there. Other praises I'll sing: even though kiddos can switch classes every 6 months - 1 yearish, the teachers are so phenomenal that neither our son or us have had a hard time with the transitions, they were seamless. He also was behind on walking and his vocabulary when he started and both improved dramatically when he started. Now he goes into school with a smile on his face and talks about his teachers and his friends at home. It's a home away from home for him. Great job Primrose!

After just six weeks at Pearland Parkway, we ultimately decided it was not the right fit for our family. If the administrative staff or management had reached out to ask why we were leaving, we would have shared that we simply did not get the same positive feeling or level of care that we experienced at our previous Primrose. While the teachers seemed nice, our son cried every day at drop-off for all six weeks, which was very unusual compared to our experience at his previous location. We also noticed several differences in the overall organization, communication, and security. There was never a staff member consistently at the front desk monitoring foot traffic in the mornings. His first day was disorganized, we weren't provided with the necessary door/pass codes, and there was confusion about whether we owed a payment. We later ended up being double-charged. We also had several experiences that were concerning to us, including seeing the front desk staff member applying makeup in the back office while we were leaving and, on another occasion, finding the front door propped open. When I mentioned the open door, the response was simply, "Oh yeah," rather than it seeming to be recognized as a potential security concern. Another major difference was the lack of personal connection. At our previous Primrose, staff knew our names and our son's name and always made us feel welcomed. At Pearland Parkway, no one seemed to know our names or our son's name, and when we left, no one asked why we were leaving or even said goodbye. We also noticed that many of the classroom toys appeared old and worn. Overall, the level of care, attention, organization, security, and personal connection we experienced at our previous Primrose was simply not the same at this location. We truly wanted this location to work for our family, but after six weeks, we knew it wasn't the right fit. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and uses it as an opportunity to improve. Our experience at another Primrose location showed us what a wonderful daycare experience can look like, and unfortunately, we did not experience that same level of care at Primrose Pearland Parkway.

My final straw was witnessing my daughter's hair being pulled and her being dragged down without any acknowledgment or apology from Natalie, one of the Directors . It was alarming to see such an incident go unnoticed by the staff, and it left me questioning why my daughter seems to dread going to school. The lack of communication and accountability is deeply concerning, especially when it comes to the safety and well-being of the children. I am deeply concerned that if one of the directors has the audacity to speak to me in such a dismissive manner, then they may also have the power to influence how teachers handle parental concerns.
