I had to order the part that they said was broke by 3PM to make sure it would here. The oil place called me this morning and told me the truck was delayed at the garage and wouldn't be in. I went to the garage after work and the truck was there with the part that was supposedly delayed. When I looked at the part to make sure it was the part that was broken come to find out that the part that broke was never supposed to come off the valve cover and instead of just replacing that part the whole vavle cover has to be replaced. Thanks guys an $20 part just turned into $450. Which the oil place will claim was broken before he touched it. Which is bull crap cause it would have pissed oil everywhere before I went to get oil changed and it never did I will never go back. The oil places idea of fixing it was zip ties, the owner guy told me.that the zip ties.will last for awhile. The ford garage told me nope.

Before we got off the phone, she located a used tire to get me back on the road today and offered to arrange warranty replacement from Schierl Tire in Plover, where I bought the original tires. I tossed the spare donut on and made it there in 20 minutes. While I waited, they offered free coffee and wifi. They had a full service schedule, but they made getting me back on the road a priority. Things got complicated, tho, when they noticed a 2nd tire (also covered by warranty) was in poor condition and ALSO needed replacement. They didn't have a 2nd 'used' tire in stock and worked the phone to find something local that w/be serviceable. When that failed, they made arrangements to meet staff from another store half-way between and pick up two new tires for same-day installation with warranty credits. Since the service was going to take longer than expected, staff volunteered to drop me off/pick me up at a local diner so I could eat lunch while waiting for they fetched & installed the new tires. There are more options to choose from in Medford than expected (Pomp's, Meyer Tire, etc) but I recommend Schierl for tire service needs. They value customer service and encourage customers to share their experience on Yelp, Google+ and their company website. As an added benefit, they have locations in Stevens Point, Wausau, Marshfield, and surrounding areas that are all connected to the same system. This means they were able to download vehicle history and warranty/service info.

Jose and crew at this location have completely changed that for me - and raised the bar for all others. Jose and his team were amazing. I called this AM about making an appointment and Jose was great from the start. Explained that you never need an appointment, just come on in! When I drove up to the garage door, Jose quickly greeted me and we walked into the office area - he pointed out the restroom, the water in the fridge, coffee maker. His crew drove my car inside and got busy on things. After getting mileage, etc from my car, he explained what he recommended and the benefits and gave me an estimate on the cost. We agreed on the synthetic oil (that's what I use) and tire rotation (I was overdue). His team got to work and they were done in no time at all. He assured me that they checked the filters, the fluids, vacuumed the car, and checked brakes, wipers - and I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff. Anyway, it was a thorough check and I felt great knowing there was attention to detail. Even better than all the actual work on the car was my customer experience. I have never ever been to any kind of oil change place - even car dealers - that was this clean. CLEAN. CLEAN. CLEAN. Plus, free wifi, a charging station for mobile phones, a work area (I had my laptop), comfy chairs, CLEAN bathroom. It almost felt part 'cafe' and there was a big window where you could see what was happening with the cars. I felt like I took my car to a spa or something.
