The staff is always so friendly and welcoming -- they even remember our names -- and the owner's passion truly shines through in the quality of every product. We stocked up for the year on our favorites and found a few sweet gifts in their baby section too. It's a joy to support a small business that puts so much care into everything they do. I stop by this place every time I am in town. Not only do they make all their soaps, lotions and balms, it is the best little spot to pick up a fun, unique gift. I picked up the tattoo balm for myself on this trip and it is so good. All the products here are eco friendly and you can tell they truly care. The owner is a very nice women. Yes, they have "swear--y" items in here, they are hilarious and in their own section. If you let your kids see them, that's on you, not the shop. Same with the dog, it's friendly, maybe figure out how your kid is around pets first before blaming the shop. I will gladly spend my hard earned money here. read more

Super sweet shop located in Downtown La Conner by the waterfront. They hand make all products at the store which is fun to see. The products themselves are packaged beautifully and as far as I have seen with what I have bought, work great. I got my partner a beard cleaner which he loves, and myself a charcoal based cleaner and a face lotion. The staff are great and allow you to use the products in their sink to make sure it works how you like. The prices are actually really great for an all natural and local product (full size face was was $26) and I will probably go and get more of their stuff when I run out! read more

HOLY BEAUTY BAR! This place has the most amazing handmade and eco friendly lotions, cleaning soaps, laundry soaps, face masks and other things!!! I wishhhhh I had the money to buy a few different items here because the ingredients look delectable, lush & SAFE! I would HIGHY recommend this place for your own personal beauty needs, or for gifts!!! I just loved everything they sold. It was mostly beauty and household natural options with a few really cute, quirky and off the wall type gifts that are actually really cute, functional and dual as actual really appealing decor. Most gift shops kind of have kitchy... gifty type items that nobody really wants or needs... but these items are actually super duper cute, trendy and clean looking with a modern simplistic style. I was introduced to Handmade La Connor at the Urban Craft show back in December. I purchased a full sized lotion at that time and decided to pop in when I came up to La Connor for a weekend. They have a beautiful, large shop, which they are currently remodeling. I picked up a few small sized items because I'm fairly set on my lotions and potions at this point. I just visited La Conner for the first time yesterday - the downtown area is so cute. This store is amazing - so many great products. They were making some of the products while we were there. I came away with some berry sugar scrub, facial masks, hand soap, under eye cream, whipped body butter, and sage smudge sticks. They also have hair products, grooming products for men, laundry soap, and a line for pets. The scents are really light and fresh. Everyone who worked there was really nice and friendly. This is going to be my new go-to store for gifts. (Mainly for myself - let's be honest!!) read more

This look like it had nice things, but unfortunately we got scared out the door. Two scary black dogs barking at my six-year-old daughter. They were unleashed and very threatening. The lady told me that they didn't touch her, but my girl was terrified. She was in tears. If you have a retail store, keep your dogs on leash or make sure they are safe and not vicious barking dogs. I stepped into a beautiful store. The store has beautiful plants and that is what drew me in. Once inside the store, I found lotions, soaps, and other home goods. About a dozen steps into the store, a woman with almost all white hair greeted me curtly. I ignored her rudeness because, come on, we all have bad days. I continued to wander around the store, looking at all of the plants and towards the back of what is called the kitchen. I found a refreshing daily moisturizing lotion and went to pay. The white-haired lady ( who is about my age) behind the counter made me feel most unwelcome and had followed me around the store. I paid and left. I was eager to get out of store. My 16-year-old niece was also in the store. We were shopping independent of each other. She was looking for a gift for her mother. She took longer looking around the store. She bought a couple of gifts. When she left the store she confided how unwelcomed she felt in Handmade La Conner. She detailed how she felt profiled in the store. Will not return to the store, ever. And will caution other Black, Indigenous, People of Color to stay away from Handmade La Conner. Most of their products are hand crafted in the attached kitchen right on sight. Their products include salves, soaps, bath salts, and laundry detergent. There are a bunch of different natural scents (the lemon/lavender was lovely) and everything is made with natural ingredients. They are nicely packaged and would make elegant gifts. Our son and daughter in law sent me a package for my birthday. It contained several of your products. The Rosewood +Blood Orange lotion is luxurious, makes my skin feel young and soft. The Bergamot mint +Fir moisturizing lotion is wonderful on my face, I am using it as a daily moisturizer. It make my face so soft and youthful feeling. The soap I got is rich and not drying. The Blueberry scrub is nice, leaves me feeling clean. I haven't tried everything in my package but I am looking forward to. Your products wonderful. read more

I LOVEEEEEE this store! I always stop here when I go to LaConner and I can't help but pick up something even if I don't necessarily need it. The shop is just so cute and the people are super sweet and will help you if you're in need of something. They have everything from lotions, bar soaps, facial scrubs, laundry soap, men's grooming and hygiene line. The owner even prints her own fabric and makes bags and reusable paper towels! Seriously, this shop has EVERYTHING you could possibly need especially for those sensitive skin/ don't like chemicals people like myself.
