One of the biggest concerns was a bathtub that had been installed without proper support and creaked badly--so much so that I was nervous to use it. Jeremy from Happily Handy was excellent to work with from the very beginning. He promptly returned my initial call, showed up on time on the days he worked here, and was professional and personable throughout the entire process. I really appreciated that he thoroughly researched the bathtub issue before coming to the house, rather than guessing on the spot. While the tub still has some creaking, Jeremy significantly improved it by injecting expandable foam underneath, making it usable and giving us peace of mind. He also took care of several other tasks while he was here, including installing a louvered accordion door, adjusting a glass shower door that was hitting, and doing sheetrock work around a newly installed bathroom exhaust fan. The cost for all of this work was very reasonable. Jeremy was respectful of our home, cleaned up nicely when the work was done, and communicated clearly throughout. Even when a problem isn't a perfect or easy fix, it's clear he puts real thought and effort into his work. I would absolutely call him again and highly recommend Happily Handy.

Jerry was very informative and such a good guy. I remember he needed some wood for our cabinets, he took the time to explain why and presented options pertaining to cost. The prices were very high at the time, but we needed the wood to finish the job so we had given our approval. When the job was completed and we received the invoice there we no extra charges, in fact the cost was less than originally agreed. When we asked Jerry why, he told us that he was able to pick up the wood and some materials at a second hand supply store, which enabled him to forward the savings to us. Here is a gentleman that very easily could have told us he paid full advertised prices for everything and we would be none the wiser. Jerry's reply to us was, "if I did that, I would be only contributing to a lie that ultimately hurts the community I live and work in, I am sorry, but that is something I can not do". Fast forward to day of; They were supposed to start at 10am, instead texted at 10am saying they had to get materials and gas, didn't arrive until 11. My partner went out and picked up lunch for all 3 shortly after they had just started (we asked them to let us know when they would be ready for lunch). One employee showed up, ate and literally left. Did no work. We all had plans so handywomen left at 5pm. We get an invoice for $905 and they still had to come back a second day to finish, which would go over budget. Not once from when the design plan was solidified to even when materials were purchased day of had anyone stated the price would change. So obviously my partner and I asked about the price change and both owners of Handywomen became extremely defensive and never explained why it changed. They only said to look at the invoices and contract which still was not totally clear as they never had us sign their contract or go over any update invoices. We were charged for 6 hours, but they worked 5 and still included the hour lunch in their work day. There's no attention to detail. Or attention at all really. Things were broken and done with such lackluster I'm still in shock. (See photos for reference.) Maybe they are great for small projects but this was probably more than they could chew. I wish them luck in this. The best part about this team is their helpers Corbett. A very sweet man and the main reason we paid for such unsatisfactory work.
