We really appreciate that they didn't complain about anything and also figured out a way to navigate thru narrow passages with heavy items - without making a dent or scratch. Brent did a site visit at my home to give me an accurate quote and told me if I need boxes prior to my move, I could pick them up from their warehouse. I did need boxes and Esteban ended up dropping them off to me which was really nice! My move took two days - the first for packing and loading my belongings and the second for moving and unpacking. The three gentlemen who did this for us, Arod, Josh and Gabe were really pleasant and efficient. The bonus was, after having to cancel on them for an initial request because the seller thought he found a different buyer, I was able to set another appointment with super short notice and these movers pulled through! One minor thing to be aware of: They told me during the move that they include the time it takes them to drive to the initial moving site and back to their home from the moving site in their total time. It wasn't a big deal, but I purchased the Groupon, which doesn't mention this in the fine print. That was the only little surprise. Otherwise, no hidden fees. Great punctuality and communication, and everything was handled with extreme care. Would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Straight Path Moving was one of the worst moving experiences I've ever had…read more When I booked the move, I was told pricing was straightforward and everything was included. Halfway through the move, after much of my furniture had already been wrapped, I was suddenly informed that I would be charged $20 for every moving blanket used because the destination was a storage unit. This was never disclosed during booking. At that point, I was given the choice to either pay for the blankets or have my belongings unwrapped. That's not a real choice when your move is already underway. What was most frustrating wasn't the charge itself--it was the complete lack of upfront communication. Had I been told beforehand, I could have purchased my own blankets or made a different decision. Instead, the information was withheld until it was too late to do anything about it. Things got worse when the truck broke down on the way to the storage unit, leaving my husband waiting for approximately two hours. While breakdowns happen, there was no apology, no effort to make things right, and no discount offered for the inconvenience. The only concession was that they stopped the clock during the delay. The final issue occurred at the storage unit. The crew stopped unloading in order to secure payment before completing the job. I've moved multiple times, both locally and across state lines, and I've never had a moving company refuse to finish unloading until payment was made. It escalated into an argument and only after significant back-and-forth were we able to reach a compromise so they would continue unloading our belongings. I expect moving companies to be transparent, professional, and communicative. Instead, I encountered surprise charges, poor communication, equipment failures, and payment tactics that left me feeling uncomfortable and pressured. This review is not about wanting anything for free. It's about honesty and transparency. If there are storage blanket charges, tell customers before the move. If you require payment before unloading is complete, disclose that before booking. Customers deserve to know the full terms upfront so they can make informed decisions. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
