During what can be a stressful and emotional process, it was an unexpected comfort to have kind people to chat and laugh with. They made the day less overwhelming. I used Sebastian Moving for my daughter who was moving from one area of Orlando to another. My experience overall was very good. The staff was very responsive while I made the initial arrangements. The timing was a bit longer than anticipated, which in turn cost more, but this could not be helped. The only reason for a 4-star instead of a 5 is it was hard to communicate with the guys as they spoke Spanish and I spoke English. One was a little easier to communicate with using gestures etc. I would recommend that the company ask the client what language they are fluent in before assigning workers. The team showed up on time and quickly and efficiently packed my home, wrapping some things in plastic to prevent damages and keep drawers closed on things like dressers. We had some confusion over the mattress and bed frame parts going to a different address then the rest going into a storage unit, as well as location issue due to accidental miscommunication, but upon calling the main office number it was quickly resolved. Juan and Jose were wonderful, and it was absolutely worth the time and money- the two man team accomplished in one day what would have taken myself alone at least a week, especially without access to a truck. I hired Sebastian moving for a local 3 bedroom move that included packing. I was concerned that they send at least 3 people - as my mattress is particularly heavy. I figured the job would take a day... Was I off.... They showed up with a crew of seven! It was like army - they arrived at 9:30am, and by noon the truck was packed and they were on their way. By 12:30 they were at the destination and took a lunch break. They started again at 1:30pm and were done and gone by 2:30pm. Everything arrived safely. Not a scratch. The glass and delicate items - nothing broken or damaged. Everything that was disassembled was reassembled perfectly. The TV was safely back on its stand. They advertise shrink wrapping the furniture - which struck me as odd and maybe a gimmick. I was wrong - it's brilliant. They wrap the furniture in moving blankets and shrink-wrap over it. That gives a level of protection that I believe makes a huge difference. I don't know if their pricing was good or bad - I chose them based on reviews and didn't shop around - but what I can say for sure is that they were worth every penny. read more

What a great moving company. They literally showed up less than an hour after i called to give me a firm quote. They showed up at the agreed time and the three immediately began wrapping all my furniture in protective pads and plastic. My move was not an easy move because it involved steep stairs and it was raining all day. What really surprised me was that they put all my adjustable shelves in my huge bookcase right back were they were originally!!!! They moved things a few times in my family room and master bedroom to make things perfect. The icing on the cake was when i was making up one of the beds- one of the guys even helped me with that!!' These 5 star reviews are all true. This is my 3rd move in 3 years, and this was far and above the best move. Our unit is an entry for on the ground floor which leads immediately into a flight of stairs, they had to move everything out of this into a unit that has the same type of entry. Aline and his entire crew (a total of 6 movers) were extremely efficient and friendly. They got everything moved in under 4 hours. We paid for the flat rate and I highly recommend it. They took great care of everything (they even put our couch back in better shape than it had been for the past year since we moved) The entire process from scheduling the In house estimate to paying day off was extremely convenient. The one slight change I wish I would have known is that there would have been 6 movers so I could have had more water bottles on hand to keep them hydrated. Very communicative. On time. Efficient. Polite. They wrapped almost everything but also did not take care of every corner of our furniture (we had some large pieces). We had many pieces that had nicked corners and edges because, despite the thin wrapping, they were whacked or hit on either pavement or the moving dollies or other things. When we notified them of the frayed corners and chips that we saw post-move (and found more after that notification), they offered to send a professional furniture repair person out to fix the issues. While we appreciated the offer, we were exhausted and unable to spend more time waiting for another person to show up and fix problems that were not there before the move but now needed repair because they were not more gentle with the furniture. They ended up giving us $150 credit towards the cost of repair, which was much appreciated but we'd have preferred not to have these to begin with. All in all, we're happy with the move and the fixed cost but would only have given them 5 stars had we not had the minor damages to deal with. read more
