It is a coincidence that I have had a bottle of their Olive Oil in my cabinet. I realized it has a Use by date of October 9th 2025! I'm upset that I didn't use it. It's the most delicious Olive Oil I've ever tasted. It is great on toast and definitely makes my greens more tasty. The price has certainly gone up since 2023 as you will see in my pictures. What do you think? Should I eat it after the Use By Date or flush it!

I'm not disappointed. The EVOO is magical and I love that I can use it everyday and not wince about price or quality. Speaking of price, COR is affordable and readily available at grocery stores everywhere. No shipping charges, no cardboard boxes...no problem. California Olive Ranch (including their Avocado Oil) is an excellent option when you absolutely need olive oil and your wallet will be happy, too!

This is a really cool museum on the grounds of a former Army Air base. They pay tribute to Chico…read moreair history, war history and the space age. Their displays were full and covered 4-5 rooms. They have several jets on display and you can get into a couple of the jets to make you feel like the pilot. The staff is super friendly and love to talk about air history. The day we were there they were only open to the public a short time as they had a special private event planned. This museum is FREE but they take donations. You must go and check this museum out. You won't need an entire day but your visit will be worth it.

First -for checking in the lady was upset that we showed up despite someone calling and letting them know ahead of time. The staff kept yelling at the children to stop running when they in fact weren't. One of the kids was stimming out of excitement and one of the ladies scolded her to stop. One of our boys was called a girl (be assured he cannot easily be confused for a girl). When one of ladies learned we were going to chapman town splash pad her response was, "you better watch your a**es out there" In front of the children which was absolutely inappropriate. The staff was ableist, made racist comments and overall made our entire group feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Do not recommend this place for people with autism, neurodivergent groups nor kids.

But I can imagine it can be a hassle when the college is in session on a weekday or when a school field trip is on site. There are two exhibit rooms, a hands-on science room, the display hall and a small gift shop. The exhibit rooms change every few months. My school age daughter really liked the hands-on room. Wish that room was a little bigger. There weren't many of us there - maybe 3 or 4 families, but it was crowded. Overall its a nice family museum for Chico and the price is decent ($13 for a family of 3).

I had a nice time at the Red Bluff Round-Up Rodeo. We went on the Sunday and it was a good turn…read moreout. I thought the Military flyover at the beginning was cool. It was a hot day and our seats for the first hour or so were in the sun but thankfully the sun went behind the grand stands and gave us much needed shade. I suggest to keep the sun in mind when you are planning to attend the rodeo and where you will be seated. I thought the variety of rodeo events was nice, although I would have liked to see the mutton busting with the kids riding the sheep. I have never seen cowboys dress up while riding before, during the "Wild Ride", we saw some very creative outfits but my favorite was "Forest Gump". I was disappointed by the lack of shopping offered and the booths they did have, most of them were selling the same things. I guess I was just expecting more options and things to shop around for. Lastly, I was not the biggest fan of the "Wild Horse Race" that was held at the end of the day on Sunday. I feel as though there was not a lot of lead up or introduction to the event. I had never been to the Red Bluff Rodeo before, so I didn't know what to expect. All of a sudden horses were running down the track while cowboys were running after them, shooting guns and yelling. It felt very chaotic, unorganized and just caught me off guard.

We go every year. We take the whole family and have a great time. Love the wild horse race.read more
