This place deserves to be on everyone's radar, it is that good. The prices are close to home based food chains, they really make the marks in customer service. We stopped here during a visit to golf resort in Sheridan, IL and we wanted some simple foods and no going to restaurants now. The bakery here was outstanding and the fritters for breakfast may not make it to breakfast. We picked up blueberry and apple cinnamon fitters too. they are giant and a meal for each one. We picked up fried chicken for dinner and that was amazingly good, the spices were just right and breading not very greasy. Going back tomorrow for dinner of ribs and some side dishes again. read more

Do not go with the other decorated cookies no matter what your kids or you see as neat looking 2. Ask for fresh donut holes. They have some in bags that are very good but fresh are absolutely mind blowing especially sour cream old fashion 3. The Italian Sausage is in brat sized portion or ropes. Cut these into 2 inch pieces and cook as breakfast sausage 4. Full size donuts are ok but not anything overly special 5. Cinnamon rolls are very good when fresh. Ask! These are rarely there when I pass through 6. Add only pickles, raw onions, and ketchup to your tenderloin 7. They sell Polancic's tenderloins which are the greatest ever outside of Smitty's Tap! The best deli and Bakery in town Family owned and operated for god knows how many years. They are a IGA member so that keeps prices down but they are still more pricey than your average grocery retailer. all in all they have every thing you need and then some. All the products are high quality and in fact I even though I live on the north side next to walmart and kroger I make the trip about once a week for there Superior quality products so the few extra bucks I might spend going here doesn't bother me. read more

I like shopping at this mom and pop store. It is clean, well lit and the aisles are big enough for those who may need a wheelchair or other assistance. Items are a bit pricey but many of their sales are great. They have baggers who walk with you to your vehicle and unload your grocery cart. They have a bakery and deli with many delicious items. I enjoy a few of their in-house salads. I am a vegetarian so I do not buy from their butcher shop, however, I know many who do. They sell lottery tickets, fresh coffee, ready-made snacks, and soups. The one area where they can improve is in their basic service in relation to the younger workers. Many have no idea what service actually means and they do the bare minimum. They need better training. When I ask them a question, if they do not know the answer I expect them to find out the answer from someone else. I do not expect them to stare at me blankly and say, "um... I do not know," then just go on about their business. I miss the service from the 1970s, early 1980s. The older staff are great and will help you with almost anything and if they do not know the answer, they find the answer via someone else. read more

I love this store. I love that it is family owned. The employees are very friendly and they will walk you out to your car if need be. The selection is usually good enough for me to find everything I need. Our family loves their hand made garlic bread and the ribs are very good to. Prices are comparable on most items, sometimes higher and sometimes lower. This is a much better place to go to than Wal Mart. Support your local businesses! read more
