Always like to support local family owned businesses and this one is a great place to find freshly butchered meats. They make their own meat sticks in various flavors and even some for the dogs. We usually stop to pick some up on our way into Woodhaven Lakes campground. In addition to fresh meats they have deli and frozen items too. Expect to pay premium prices for premium products that are worth the price if you're a carnivore. read more

Good service, excellent cuts of meat! We got NY strips, Mac-n-cheese brats, baby back ribs and the snack sticks. You're going to pay a little extra but it is DEFINITELY worth it. Very poor cuts of beef . Spent $18.95 per pound for ribeyes and receive the toughest cut of meat I ever cooked. Always have received great top notch cuts at Hy Vee , but thought I give them a try. Just threw 40 bucks in the trash. The BBQ Pork chops were very good however and beef sticks too. Stay away from the cuts of steak ! read more

This is a great meat market. It is a small store area that allows for about 6 people to be in there at a time. The service was friendly and open to answering questions. They have a lot of pre- packaged items that you can purchase or order specific meats for them to cut for you. We love their pork chops, bratwurst, meat sticks and bacon. You can watch them cut the meat so if you are raw meat adverse you may not like it. I like the many flavored meats they offer if you prefer not to marinate yourself. read more

The brats and pork chops are amazing! The thick sliced bacon was sliced about 4 x's thicker than normal. It was difficult to cook and just didn't feel right, hard to get crispy. The way it's packaged doesn't allow you to see this so it was a surprise once I got it home. Probably won't buy the bacon again, but everything else has been great. read more

We have a couple lots at Woodhaven Lakes and whenever I am out there this place is a MUST stop! No exceptions! Everything I have had from here has been fresh, delicious and well priced! The people behind the counter are polite, helpful and obviously enjoy what they do! The bacon was amazing, I highly recommend one of their marinated steaks! (Garlic butter was my favorite!) Pork chops were great, the assorted sausages are delicious too. They even have bones for the dogs, that for a msall fee they cut for you. Defintely recommend swinging by! read more

We dropped of a lamb for custom butcher. Not 1 piece of meat was correctly cut, sinew, hair, cartilage on cuts. Most of the meat was missing. We expected a 12-15lb loss on an 84lb hanging weight but not over 30 lbs especially with all cuts bone in except one. When we reached out day-1 we were met with very unprofessional conduct. Day-2 I called and spoke to the new owner was basically given an "Oh well" he did not care type attitude. Day -4 the husband went down with receipt and a list of what was received and again we received all we received. After we posted on FB our experience and they saw the overwhelming reponse then they wanted to reach out and discuss. NEVER EVER again Beware read more

We've had at least 6 different things and they've all been outstanding. The Greek Chicken is simply the best chicken I've EVER had. My son says the bacon is the best he's ever had. Tonight we had the steak burgers on the grill and they couldn't have been more juicy and flavorful. Other things we've liked, BBQ pork chops, chuck roast, teriyaki jerky, and really fresh eggs. Personally, I'm a vegetarian, but that doesn't stop the majority of my family from eating meat and with that being said, they all love the variety that these guys offer.
