3 favorite pairs of pants were missing. Returned later to ask again, upset that they were apparently lost. Another employee was there and agreed to go and personally look. Found my clothing which had been mislabeled. Then later have I received multiple calls to return the clothing to the business, that they were not mine. Accused me of taking someone else's clothing. My name is in the clothing!! Have been harassed with multiple calls from the business! Lori Williams, owner, refused to take my phone call to explain that she has problems at her business. I asked about pricing for women's cotton shirts size 12 and up .,,, was told shirts were 4,00 ... imagine my surprise when I went to pick them up and they were nearly $10 a shirt when I asked to speak to the manager this woman came to the counter. I'm not sure if she's manager material but that doesn't matter all she had was basically smart ass answers for me. I will never go here again and I promise I absolutely promise I will be berating them in my neighborhood as much as possible this is a terrible group they price gouge and worse all they lie and there's no accountability. I was told that they're trying to sell their store. I'm like good luck. There's nothing to buy if it's this poor. I will never use hangers cleaners for anything again. Their store is not clean and I actually know more about dry cleaning and laundry than most since I ran one up north right outside of New York City for 15 years so I have experience, backing me up shame on you, Williams, cleaners shame on you, you are thieves ! read more

Stay clear of this cleaners company. Their customer service is absolutely horrible. The Military Cutoff store lost a Tommy Bahama silk shirt of mine and has never made it right. I call them and always get a run-around that a manager will contact me. This has been going on for two months now and no satisfaction what-so-ever. Horrible company. Don't take your cleaning there. I would highly advise going to any other dry cleaner in the area. Shoot, I'd advise taking your dry cleaning an hour or two away if this was your only option. This dry cleaner always takes forever before they have your items ready, that wouldn't be a problem if the wait equated to higher quality dry cleaning but it DOESNT. They stained my brand new comforter in multiple spots and still charged me an arm and a leg for it. The point of having things cleaned is so they look better after not WORSE! read more

I am stunned. I went to Hangers to pick up my order. Two blankets were laundered, not dry cleaned; the cost $53! Three sweaters, a pair of slacks, and two knit tops; cost another $57.00. That's a total of $107.00. Outrageous. I will start gently washing my sweaters at home and will take my blankets else where!! read more

My husband was quoted $14.00 twice ( once by phone and again in person) to get a suit cleaned. He brought two suits in for cleaning only to find out when he went to pick them up that the actually cost was $20.30 per suit. When he disputed this price difference with a clerk named Mandy she told him he shouldn't have been quoted 14.00 and that there was nothing she could do about it. She said, "Oh well, you shouldn't have been told that", with a blank stare and obvious attitude. Wow, so imagine, they could concievably say anything when you show up to get your clothes. They know thre's nothing you can do about it. Either pay or not get your clothes back. Unreal! Just give the right quote when people ask. Talk about bate and switch. Aweful and no integrity. Really a "Zero Star Experience". Just like ever other cleaners in Wilmington, if you want your belongs lost, they will loosing them. If you have two tone clothing, the white will not be white any more or expect to find spots all over your clothes, that were not there when you dropped them off, when you pick them back up. Clearly their machines are not properly maintained or need replacing. I just don't get it. I never had a problem with my dry cleaners in Los Angeles or New York. Why can't these people do the job they are paid to do. They sure as hell charge you enough. P.S. I've tried both this location and the one closer to Mayfair. read more

I cannot believe what I had to pay for having 2 dress shirts laundered today. Never have I paid $31.00 for 2 shirts, and I will NEVER pay that again. The owner was not friendly, and the shop is dirty. read more

TERRIBLE customer service. I brought in my comforter to be washed on a Wednesday and they said to call back next Tuesday and it should be done. I called back that Tuesday and it wasn't done so they said call back that Thursday. I called back and it still wasn't ready. They told me that it actually takes two weeks and to call back the next Wednesday and it will be ready (that was the 2 week mark). I called back on Wednesday and they told me that they didn't know where it is and that they have lost it. I called back Friday to see if they found it and they said yes and it will be there by the end of the night. I went there the next morning and it still wasn't there. The girl working said to come up in the morning and that's when the manager works. I went up there Monday morning and the manager said that they didn't know where it was still. I gave them until Friday for them to call me back with and update and I didn't get a single call from them. I went back up there and the manager told me that the other location gave it away to someone else and they're trying to get it back. I was BEYOND pissed. I called the other manager, Jennifer, and within 1 day she tracked it down and said that it's been in the store all along and that the worker lied to me. She offered to rewash it to ease my mind that it was clean. I asked if they would call and let me know when it was back and they never did. After almost 4 weeks I finally got it back. After everything I went through to finally get it back, I opened it and it smelled like grease. It smells like it's been hanging in a McDonald's over a fryer for the past 4 weeks. They have terrible communication between the locations and terrible customer service. They only reached out to me ONCE within the 4 weeks only because one of the other workers told to manager to call me. I asked them multiple times to call and give me and update and when it finally arrived and they never did. Never in my life will I ever go back here. If I could give this place a 0 I would. Jennifer was the only person who was willing to help and track it down. Everyone else who I had to deal with had terrible customer service. read more

I have not been here in years and my last experience reminds me why. I give them a suit and a shirt. This was Tuesday and they tell me ready Thursday. I go and guess what, They cannot find the shirt. I bring in a bedspread to be washed and they want me to pay in advance and ask me if I can afford it. Just stupid ass customer service. Then I cannot pay for the suit with a debit card because their machine is broke. I ask why cannot I just pay for everything when I come back to get the bedspread. They say they cannot do it. They are worried they may be out a few dollars so they inconvience me, keep the suit and I have to come back. Total and complete BS, will never ever deal with them again. read more

I just returned from the 17th Street location without my clothes! I had taken 2 items in to be dry cleaned (an unadorned formal skirt and a cocktail dress with rhinestones) and although the skirt was fine, the majority of the rhinestones on the straps and a brooch type item on the hip of the dress were missing. The brooch type item on the hip of the dress is circular and partially covered by the fabric of the dress at all times. I attempted to just pay for the skirt and was told by the lady at the counter that she could not split the ticket and could not just let me pay for the skirt. So I left both items and told her that this was the last of my business that they will get. Yes, I did sign a release form about the rhinestones when I dropped off the items, however in 35 years of using Williams Cleaners (most of the years were when Mr. Ted Williams was still living) the release has been more of a formality because the rhinestones have never been missing. In the past when I have picked up a formal dress/top, the rhinestones have always been wrapped in foil to protect them. (The lady at the counter today told me that the foil is always removed before the clothing is presented to the customer for pick up - however this has never been my experience) Once, in the past, a stone was loosened, but because of the foil wrapping the stone wasn't lost and could be re-glued. When the dress was presented to me today, there was no foil covering the attachments that had stones (on the shoulder straps and hip) and all of the large rhinestones were missing, however the stones that were covered by the dress fabric on the hip were not missing. This leads me to believe that the stones were never covered by foil. This is completely unacceptable and quite disappointing. read more
