The bitter melon was undercooked so it was extra bitter and the pumpkin texture was off, like it was ripe and a fresh fruit-like texture instead of a potato-like texture. The Halo Halo was of course awesome. Staff are very friendly. Our waitress Majoko (I think that was her name) was very friendly and welcoming. Service has a little bit of a wait, but because it's freshly made. A decent amount of dining tables and the parking lot is a bit tight.

The beef tagalog was okay, and the garlic rice was really average (even though they charged a lot for it). It was made mostly with garlic powder, not real garlic. As for the pancit, it was the blandest portion of noodles I've ever had. I had asked for all the dishes to be spicy, but the pancit even lacked basic seasoning. The owner seems really nice and he'll start a conversation with you whenever you check out. All the korean goodies that a review mentioned before were not present when I went. So I guess they just didn't restock them anymore. (FMI) I realized that Beaumont had a handful of Pinoy population just enough to make some nursing associations (2) so that somewhat intrigued me for the moment. Though Mother Nature let her waterworks flow, I couldn't let a rare opportunity pass me by. My order was taken by a nice Filipinx woman. The truck's picnic table was too wet to sit at, so I sat at a drier one in the adjacent strip mall. Eating Pinoy cuisine outdoors with the traffic increasing for the evening rush hour, I couldn't help but feel like I was back in the Philippines. Tapsilog is one of my favorites from the ancestral homeland, and Para Po's was amazingly delicious. The beef chunks were juicy and tender complemented by a nice scoop of garlic fried rice and an egg done scrambled. Since the meat was rich in flavor, I didn't bother to use the vinegar dip all that much. My meal was topped off by the halo halo. Normally consumed when the temperature is rising outside, it still was just right with the rain pouring down. I bet it would be great to hang out here when the weather is cooperating.
