Pork and Brisket tacos
Victor H.

Another solid food truck within the confines of the Houston area. I noticed they are sometimes at the Truck Yard bar area in EaDo and they'll cater other locations for grand openings or special events. Talk about availability and doing it what it takes! They're known for their tacos and loaded fries. Everyone knows my love for tacos so that's what i went with. I did the pork and brisket tacos which were delicious and tasty although a bit messy. But that's what the napkins are for. Not the best but definitely damn good. Be on the look out for this truck when they come around. Representing Houston properly!

Captus Eos!! Fantastic flavor and tender meat! They went above and beyond to accommodate a special food request I had. Get the spicy!

The 'El Flacos' brisket sandwich

A good if not great deal for a sandwich from Mingo's - which I'd give a 3.5. To explain. They were the food truck of choice at the Kirby Ice House and I ordered the "El Flacos" brisket sandwich. Advertised as a brioche bun with brisket meat, 5-blend shredded cheese, pico de gallo (or pickles depending on which online menu you read) and sauce topped with cabbage, lettuce. So why 3.5 stars - my sandwich came with a well-toasted bun, and moist brisket meat. No 5-blend cheese, no pico de gallo/ pickles, somewhat oily fries, and a $12+ tax price tag. I enjoyed the sandwich, the fried were just okay but I've eaten better sandwiches for $12+ tax and a tip. They were very busy, so to their defense they may have run out of the toppings, and another visit might improve my thoughts - but not tonight. Update - I greatly appreciate the owner reaching out to me within the first 24-hours to address the concerns noted - truly shows a commitment to continuous improvement. Great feedback and I look forward to trying your food again.

Veggie empanadas

We started with the elote and brussel sprouts and both were delicious. The tacos and empanadas were perfect. My kid is picky and loved all the food. Must try food in Pearland.

Mingo's Latin Kitchen restaurant is now open in Pearland! I've had their food truck so this is their next best step and it was pretty great! You should try their honey covered brussel sprouts. For those of you who never liked brussel sprouts you would be amazed.I had the Havana sandwich and it was delicious. Come on Pearland! support the local business!!

Brisket tacos

These guys came to our neighborhood. We ordered the brisket taco, chicken empanadas, and brisket fries. All were delicious! Brisket tacos were like eating a burger lol. But it was seriously juicy with the mild pico de Gallo it was good. Chicken empanadas, freshly fried with melted cheese, and dude the green sauce! You have to dip it in the green sauce. Brisket fries were also good. If you like kimchi fries these are a friendly less tangy take of it but good! Total= $28 even. Not bad if you want to have something hearty for a change.

Got the loaded fries. They were delicious but they did run out of the "veggie" option for the fries. It felt a little bland + could have used more protein/filling. Hope to come back and try this food truck again when they have more veggie options available!

Catering event at our plant.

Great place to order from for catering event during these times, incredibly easy to work with and understanding team. Tomas was fantastic and stayed to the very end ensuring that every one of our employees and contractors was fed, including the stragglers. Can't recommend them enough!

Had them cater a lunch with the food truck. Food was excellent and they did everything they could to attend to my event.

Authentic Dominican/Caribbean food in Willowbrook. Who knew?…read more I remember this place from a birthday party decades ago. The space was a bit bigger (they've since redesigned it smaller), but the crowds were smaller. Success hasn't tarnished their food. It was a very rainy and soggy afternoons and the place was packed. We managed a table and ordered. Can't go wrong with the delicious shrimp mofongo. I honestly think the sauce is the icing on that cake, made all the more delicious with a squeeze of lemon. Whew! Service was fast and dinner came out at a reasonable pace. The owner is so friendly and stopped by our table to make sure things were good. Better than good! If you're in the Willowbrook area do yourself a favor and stop in for lunch or dinner. Prices are a little steep, but what's isn't these days?

Food is very good, they have lunch specials during the week including pernil, pollo guisado, etc…read morefor about $12-13. I ordered the pollo guisado and moro, both were good and we have a little left over. My partner ordered the pica pollo and the fried chicken was decent. The food does take some time, and servers did not check in too often so I would recommend ordering ahead of time (unless you have a long lunch break), There are plenty of tables, but it is a little dark inside, 2 bathrooms inside. The juice was on the sweet side so just watered it down (wish they have smoothies), but they get 5 stars overall for the flavor and the price point. Plenty of parking as it's in located along other stores.

It fills the space in the best way possible and immediately pulls you in for the full experience. One thing that really stood out to me was the customer service. The staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which, unfortunately, hasn't always been my experience at other Colombian restaurants. Many places I've visited primarily speak Spanish, which can sometimes make ordering a challenge. Here, I felt completely at ease and well taken care of. We started with the beef empanadas, and I highly recommend them. The crust was perfectly crispy, while the filling was soft, flavorful, and comforting. Paired with their salsa, which had just the right kick of spice, it was an excellent combination that made for a strong start to the meal. I ordered my go-to favorite, the Bandejita. The presentation was beautiful and appetizing, but sadly, the bold flavors I'm used to just weren't quite there for me. The flat steak tasted under-seasoned, and I actually found myself adding salt, which I've never had to do before at other restaurants. The pork sausage also seemed a bit dry inside, but my husband said that's how it should be, so perhaps that was just my preference. The beans had a different flavor than what I'm accustomed to as well, not bad by any means, just noticeably different. On a positive note, the pork belly was perfectly crispy, exactly how it should be, and the plantains were sweet and cooked to perfection. Overall, the menu looks incredibly tempting, and there are still plenty of dishes I'd love to come back and try. While I may skip the Bandejita next time, I definitely plan on returning to explore more of what they have to offer.
