Hanham heating have been the worst plumbers we've ever used. We got them to do a whole new system including radiators, wood burner, new boiler and pipes in November 2011. we had asked them to cut floorboards only where they really needed to rather than trash them and leave traps all around the house. We asked them to always get a good fixing when hanging the radiators which they didn't which creating cracks in our new plaster work. They put pipes to close to floors and ceilings which created warping, leaks and more cracks. They were messy, used our tools, wood and screws and even left two of our tools screwed under the floorboards which we found at a later date. We have just had a new plumber out to do some new works carrying on from tails left by Hanham heating only to find more problems. He said that the work they'd done wasn't even to regs. They'd cut too much out of joists rather than taking pipes underneath as he has now done. They'd used the wrong fittings which had to be replaced. I dread to think what else they did in other rooms which we have yet to find. We did give them a chance to put their work right which they made a mess of also and never did it properly. You expect a reputable company to fix their mistakes but clearly this chap they employed didn't have a clue and they weren't interested in fixing his mistakes. I dislike having to write this kind if review but I would hate for someone else to have the kind of problems we've had and I only wish we'd taken them to court over the mess they've cause and leaks. Some things we've paid to have fixed but for some things it's too late. Don't make the mistake we made and go for them. There are plenty of good companies and one man bands about that are far better. read more

Installed a new boiler in my house, and 2 new radiators, also removing fireplace. All pipeworks in excellent quality, the only problem I had that we didn't discuss very clearly at the first visit where the flue must run, so I assumed that it goes one direction, while building regulation didn't allow that, so they wanted to install it close to my windows while I was at work. After discussing my needs, we quickly agreed a new plan. Then I had to order a new flue kit with some additional cost that could be prevented with 5 more minutes of planning. However they installed the new flue kit in no time, also come back for free to cut of 2 pipes. I can recommend their service for everybody. Friendly service, and they were responsive to my needs. We recieved awful follow up after care from this company. Persistant lateness, follow up visits left unarranged meaning I had to do all the chasing, complete bafflement at what was causing the problem - it took four months with no water or heating for them to refer on the problem!! They didn't inform us that the man they asked to come didn't work for them so we ended up with double the bill, but on the other hand, the man was able to solve the problem during a four minute phone call! I can't help wondering if they are unable to solve the problem in a boiler they fitted is the service they performed on our boiler safe? We haven't recieved any kind of apology, nor has a letter of complaint elicited any kind of response. Avoid at all costs! read more
