If looks could kill, you'd be dead. In regards to Dr. Diep, I do not find her very professional or friendly at all. When I was confused about a specific medication she prescribed, I asked her about it and she replied saying "I already told you earlier. Did you already forget?" As if that wasn't bad enough, she had the nerve to ask me, "What grade did you drop out of school?", implying that I was not intelligent enough for her. I don't know about you, but that is the most disrespectful thing I have ever heard from a doctor. The only reason I go to her is because she is the closest doctor in proximity to my home. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Dr. Diep is one of the rudest doctors I have ever met.

Incidentally, I met the both of them, at the closed office when I jiggled the door handle and Mrs. Gacote opened and smile, "Oh, we are closed. We open after the 31st. Come back in April or call us." I didn't say much; just a return smile. I snuck a quick look at the office, the Dr. was sitting at the first chair on the right side of the door. " "Oh, he is the Dr." the wife told me, and then he waved and looked speedily. I said alright I will come back on the first of April --11:30. It took me ahwile to change doctors, I was with the Nakamura Clinic, Tam Nguyen. A PA Ramos-Torres always saw me, Dr. Nguyen always out on vacay. I have a number of conditions like Type 2 Diabetes, HB Pressure, High Cholesterol, Lower Back Injury (Sciatic pain), Metatarsal injury that comes back when it's cold-that run from the knees and from the lower back, ergo, I was always complaining in pain. What I do not understand is that why do medical professionals think a patient fakes her pain just to get their attention to get drugs? This was never my intention at all. I am in pain, Period! When I ask for a shot for pain, I mean it! Who wants pain? The office visist was wholesome, and busy. Dr. Gacote, this office has a lot of patients. This is another reason I do not understand other patients who come for their appointments. This is a Filipino Dr. with Filipino patients and staff and of course, it will be like a countryside like setting where everyone meets and speaks their own native tongues and a fresh get together of a small community. Aren't you happy to see this "LIVE?" You don't have to go see it on TV, in "John and Marsha," it's your own comedy show right in front of your eyes. In fact I really loved it, the office interaction, the feeling of KAPWA or Bayanihan. Parang nasa Binakayan ako, parang nasa Kawit, nakikihirati sa mga kaklase noong high school. Masaya ang aura, so lively. Hindi parang funeral parlor. Mayroong mga Reading English magazines, may television, one Health TV at isang Netflix for shows. What else would be needing needing? When you go there for an appointment, sit down, read, read your cell--if you do not want to listen or talk, use a noise cancelling headphone, or sleep! Even worse than the doctor I had a few years ago that isn't a doctor anymore because he was popping prescription meds all day recreationally. He doesn't listen, doesn't prepare for appointments, doesn't get referrals done, can't get things cleared through insurance, and when I got snippy about him asking the same questions 3 times in 3 meetings, he claimed I was an opioid drug user and had me tested after they lied about the reasons for the test. Surprisingly enough, that test came back negative. Also negative for prescription meds that I *am* taking, so this was a true clusterf**k. And as others said, he plays with his phone when he gets bored during an appointment. I couldn't make it out, but it looked like a video shorts app. I presented this to Dignity and their response was to send me to accounting to see if they can get the doctor to change it. I never thought I'd see an ongoing business stick their chin out like this, but I'm sure that the lawyer that I hire is going to make me extremely wealthy. Totally incompetent business that hires totally incompetent doctors and staff. Big hint for local patients. Kaiser pays the most to doctors and staff, so anyone who doesn't work there either has a lucrative private practice or can't get employed by Kaiser, who I previously thought was the health care lowest common denominator.

On the way out, I asked to pay, and I was told that I would be billed "later." Some time later, I received a "final notice" for a bill for $30. When I called in to ask what the hell was going on, the front office told me that they had made the decision to "terminate me as a client" for non-payment. She was also extraordinarily rude and combative. I view this as not only unethical, but illegal. I will be filing a formal complaint to the Medical Board of California.
