This place has terrible reviews for a reason. Terrible experience. Bought and paid for a brand-new piece of furniture that was delivered broken. Store refused to replace it and at this point have no idea when it will be repaired. Long story short they don't care because they've already made the sale. I would suggest going elsewhere and never purchasing anything from this franchise ever. Don't make my mistake avoid this place at all costs. Went to Hank's, Dothan, AL to give them a try. Bought a nice leather sofa, or so we thought. First, they wanted $139 to deliver 5 miles down the road, we declined and picked it up ourselves. When it finally arrived 3 weeks later, we picked it up but asked that the plastic wrap be left on it in case of rain. We got it home and unwrapped it and the arm was severely broken on the inside. They sent someone out about 3 weeks later to evaulate and it was determined that it was not repairable. First, the manager Nathan blamed us for the break in the arm, zero professionalism. Then, they were only going to give us credit minus the sales tax to find another sofa because they didn't have another at all. We went to the store, there was another one. We saw that the one on the floor, the "last one in existance" had been repaired and they were selling it as brand new. How can brand new furniture be repaired and still be new? We spoke to John J and he said he would gladly bring us this sofa and exchange frames with us and give us the sofa that did not have a broken arm. He was going to deliver it to us. The night came for the delivery to take place, he was a no show. I called him and he acted like he had totally forgotten. I called the store, spoke with Nathan and he told me we could not have that sofa due to it being with a set. Again, he said we could have store credit minus the sales tax. Is that even legal? He was very unprofessional yet again and hung up on me. I made a couple of phonecalls to the corporate office and finally spoke with someone who said she would call the Dothan store and speak with them, but Hank's allows their store managers to make such decisions. She said she would call me back regardless, she did not. We ended up having to have the sofa repaired ourselves. Good as new after $275 more spent. I would never recommend this store to anyone. They are allowing young people to run it into the ground and based on other reviews we are not the first to have a terrible experience. I wonder if Hank is turning over in his grave? read more

Worst, lying, horrible business in the state. $1800 Loveseat, replaced once after 6mo, 2nd one had same issues 7mo later. Lied to by multiple "managers" at the store that service would come out, that parts were being ordered, fast forward 5 more months, and I have to file a claim with the warranty company. Nathan, Jason, likely anyone else in the store will lie through their teeth. "Service after the sale is most important" that's right in their hold music, well that's a lie. If I could g give this company a NEGATIVE review that's EXACTLY WHAT THEY DESERVE!! This is the WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!! And I have bought a lot of furniture in my day. My daughter and her family was in a house fire so in trying to help her, I went to Hanks Fine Furniture in Dothan, AL and purchased 3 Bedroom Suits and Dining Room furniture from NATHAN. We paid CASH for the furniture that we got from them. We couldn't pick it up that day so we went to pick it up the following day. When I got there and loaded up the furniture, they first tried to give me a mattress that fits a little baby doll bed. When I addressed it, they did NOT want to give me my money back, but later said they would issue me a credit which I still have NOT received. When I got the furniture to my daughter's house, I unwrapped it only to find that two of the dining chairs had been pierced through the leather, and the leg on the bench was broken. For the queen bedroom suit that I purchased -They gave me a full-size frame to fit a queen size bed. For the half beds that I purchased they did not give me a box spring nor did they give me the frame for the bed. I called them first, to let them know of my concerns and of the missing items but never received a call back. So then I loaded the furniture up and went back to the store to resolve the issue. Only for Nathan and the owner of this RIDICULOUS establishment and which is also a pitiful excuse for a furniture store, to tell me they're not going to replace anything that I received that was broken or anything that was missing. Oh, get this then they Threaten me to get out of their store. I have been in business for over 30 years and Never have I ever treated a customer like this. If I were you, I would stay far far away from Nathan, and the owner of Hanks fine furniture, Dothan, Alabama. Oh, and the final result, I threw the entire dining room suit in their dumpster, because that is exactly what it was trash! I will NEVER send anyone I know (and I know a ship load of people) their way, and I will NEVER buy another thing from them. If you all value your money, then please take it to Room To Go, where you will experience excellent service as well as quality furniture! If we could give less than one star, we would. When we first purchased our reclining couch on January 20th, the service was amazing. Marq has a great personality and very friendly. Little did we know things would change immediately upon receiving our broken recliner. Recliner was delivered on 1/30, we immediately contacted the store and sent pictures per their request of one side of the reclining couch that would not let down. They said they would send a guy out to fix, he showed up a week later on February 4th. He was unable to fix this brand new reclining couch as the motor was bad, however he did get the side go down manually. We called the store on the 4th, notified them and were told that Nathan the store Manager would contact us. No call back of course, my husband called again on the 5th and again on the 6th and finally spoke to Nathan, who assured us the part would be ordered and this would be taken care quickly. As of 2/15 we had yet to hear back from them, so my husband called once again, left a message for Nathan to call back and as of 2/19 no call back received. My husband and I had to go back to the store on 2/22 just to get a response. Nathan was rude, unprofessional, told my husband that it is "common" for their furniture to be broken. He also said there was "no one" above him that my husband could talk to as if he was the owner, which we know is not true. If their furniture is common to be broken, then they should not be allowed to sell it. We continue to get the run around regarding when the part will come in or IF it will. We are business people ourselves and common sense will tell you, IF the part was ever ordered they would have tracking and a better way of responding to us. We didn't purchase this item for it not work. We expect this to be taken care of immediately and the common courtesy of doing your job and actually responding and communicating with us. If you can't fix the crappy furniture in a timely manner, then you need to replace it with one that does work. We can certainly say, we would never purchase from this company again. read more

We purchased a house full of furniture when we first moved here. The kitchen chair broke shortly after, they strung me along saying they would replace it. Then told me I had to go through insurance, they wouldn't fix it because I had to report it in 1 month. If Hanks hadn't strung me along I would have a chair I could use. read more
