I arrived in professionally done hair and makeup, wearing the outfit I wanted to wear for my headshots. Kelly "greeted" me by abruptly asking to see "what clothing options" I brought to wear. When I said I was wearing what I had on, she just turned her nose up and said "Oh." As someone who doesn't enjoy having my picture taken, I was already nervous. When I conveyed my one headshot request, Kelly responded by saying "That's a really 1980s style of photography, but I'll try to find something that works for me as an artist." What a snob! Honestly, this was one of the least enjoyable hours of my life. She wasn't kind or polite and compassionate at all! When I told a friend, who is a gorgeous actress, about the interaction, she told me that she had her first set of headshots done by Kelly and echoed a similar experience, including that Kelly called her "chunky" and commented that she had a "lazy eye." Save yourself! There are a ton of more talented-- and KINDER!-- photographers in Dallas. Whether you're an actor, model, comedian, or business professional, just know that your money is better spent elsewhere.

On the wedding day, she captured EVERYTHING -- wedding details, decor, guests, family, sweet candid moments of me and my husband during the first look, ceremony, and reception, and of course, the most iconic, gorgeous portraits of us too. She was very helpful in suggesting poses that looked natural and beautiful. Monica has a great eye for lighting and how to capture the beauty of a venue. She's also great at capturing people -- our wedding party included people of varying skin tones and she made everyone look good (ie no one was overexposed or underexposed). This is a family-owned and run place with three generations working in it. The grandmother is a…read morepart owner and does hair, her daughter does makeup and her son does photography, and at least one grandchild helps out as well. It's such a happy place to be and it's three in one with the makeup, hair, and photography. The studio is next door but they're connected. I came here to get my hair and makeup done last minute for a wedding. They were able to fit me in and were a delight to talk to. I ended up having to do my hair twice because the curls fell quicker than expected and they were able to fix it and didn't charge any extra. Makeup was awesome and the lady was super cool about everything. I have crazy sensitive skin but have no experience with makeup so I wasn't really able to tell her much about what usually itches except for my eyes. She was really patient and found some stuff that wouldn't bother my skin. I really enjoyed coming here and really felt taken care of. My hair fell down quickly anyway because it was windy but I still loved what they did with it and it had a nice design to it even when it fell. I would definitely come back here. I might even do my hair and makeup the same way when we do our 10 year renewal of our vows!
