Very cool park. I love the entrance. The park is beautifully maintained and has character and charm just like the rest of the town. It's a bit secluded away from the main road, so it's a good place for families to unwind away from the downtown festivities. It is off of Atterdag Road in a residential neighborhood.

This park is named after the famous Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. The entrance into the park resembled a mini castle and a bridge which was pretty cool. There is a long driveway into the park that leads to a skate park, hiking trails, tennis courts, and a playground. There are a lot of parking lots and restrooms throughout the park. It's a peaceful park with a lot of space for a variety of activities and is close to the town of Solvang.

Pickle ball courts, tennis courts, hiking, skate park, play structure, plenty of shade trees, picnic tables galore and rentable areas! Can't ask for a better little park! The hike is a circle and can take an hour if you stretch it with watching the lizards, quail and squirrels! It is hilly but just enough to make it seem you are away in nature rather than a park enclosed by houses and businesses. We will definitely return!

This is an old park near downtown Solvang is in serious need of a make-over. It has a newer skateboard park and tennis courts as well as a dirt running trail. Multiple restrooms are fine for a park. You can see deer here. It needs a park interior decorator--it just did not feel welcoming or invigorating to be here. Would help to start by paving a cement walking trail around/through the park. Maybe build a little amphitheater for concerts? Pipe some music around he park--make it more like Disneyland.

Beautiful park in downtown. They have tables to eat at and public bathrooms. A nice green space to relax in.

We happened to be visiting Solvang and found this park on Yelp. We like to take our dog to different locations to walk. This park had nice facilities like tennis courts, bathrooms, and play structures for kids. The trail can be walked in different ways, through the small hill along the grass with large trees providing lots of shade or the cement path. There were some areas that looked like construction was taking place, however it wasn't too bad walking around those areas. We easily walked to the park from the main street in Solvang, however you could drive in and there seemed to be lots of parking available for free. We enjoyed our walk and would probably come back again in the future.

Really large park and so unexpected. There's a kids playground down the road, lots of grass and tables, restrooms, a skate park and probably hiking, but we got here late so will check that out later.

Spent the last week playing tennis here. Park has four public tennis courts and two public pickle ball courts. All the courts are in great condition and every time we've come to play there's been at least one tennis court open. There are trails around the park and areas to picnic with seating. There is also a nice skatepark here. My only qualm is that at 7:30pm they lock the gates to the park and I think that's pretty early certain times of the year. I'd recommend this place to any tennis or pickle ball player for sure.

Don't rush or you'll miss the hidden sign on the left after turning from the main road.

We came on a Thursday morning and it was empty. It truly is a park to play in if you have kids. There's even a skate park within it as well as a bike path. Not sure where the bike path leads to as it didn't seem that large. It's off the main road and easy to pass by if you speed (yikes). The road will lead you to different alcoves of the park. Great for all kinds of events, but small and quaint. I don't know if there are any wildlife around as it is surrounded by lots of trees. The park is pretty contained and since it was empty, we just drove through.

Awesome park there is so much to do here. This place is great for BBQs for large party's or to just take your kids for the day. There is two different parking lots from what I have seen. Enter through the castle towers! There are walking and hiking trails, and there is even a really cool skatepark. The skatepark is really nice! Lots of hips and many nice transition lines. This park is so awesome for kids any age. Bring your toys and play on!!!

Great park, lots of open areas for the kids to run around and the playground was well maintained.

What a saving grace after travelling in the can with young kids. What a beautiful and clean park to get the wiggles out.

I really had a blast checking out all the decor and elements at this park! It fits right into Solvang's Danish theme! By the way, Solvang translates to "Sunny Field(s)". If you are in downtown, it would be better to drive to this park. It's not in the main touristy area of Solvang. We drove out to the park since it's about 3 miles away. There is free parking, playground, picnic areas, sports fields, walking path, & restrooms. This park is unique! I planned to come see it for myself when I came to Solvang on Jan. 17, 2026. Every aspect from the entrance sign to the playground is filled with Danish decor! I was intrigued with the mosaic clock tower out front and the embedded elements in the walkway. The playground is awesome! You walk through the windmill to the slightly raised decking. I checked out the neat painted wood panels, each with cutouts for your face or body. Photo Op time! There's a castle with towers, slides, tire swings and regular swings, rubber rope to walk across, rock climbing wall, monkey bars, rings, and more! More specific Danish themed items at this park are a Gingerbread House, Puppet Theater and Viking Ship. They're so cool! There's also a Tot Lot for 2-5 year olds and adult supervision is required. The play houses and a wagon for climbing are in this area. It also has spring ride-on animals and 3 baby swings. There's a picnic shelter with a Santa Maria style grill. It's perfect for grilling lots of food for a large group! The restrooms are just beyond this picnic shelter. They are each accessed by their own door. I prefer this style rather than the multi-stall restroom. Whether or not you are a kid, kid at heart, have kids, or have kids with kids... come check it out! I think you'll be happy you did!

If you have ever been curious, my dear Yelp Review Reader, in visiting a "California Spanish…read moreMission" then the Old Mission Santa Ines might be just "the ticket" you're looking for. It is listed as the 19th of 21 Spanish Missions in CA...founded in 1804 , completed in 1807. The mission contains a working Catholic Church, a chapel (closed on the weekends), beautiful gardens, cemetery, museum and gift shop. There is plenty of parking available. To take the self guided tour...enter the Gift Shop and pay the fee. Once paid, the Attendant will present you with a map and general directions and off you go! If you're there when there is a "service" in the Church, the museum door to the Church is locked so you'll need to enter the Church from its main entrance. The museum has lots of interesting items, but the collection of 15th century Vestments is stunning (a must see). The beautiful gardens have walking paths along which there are several small stone structures (Shrines) that are very picturesque and worth visiting. We spent at least 2.5 hours "taking it all in" and enjoyed this visit and the conversations it inspires tremendously. On this occasion...in this Yelper's opinion, the Old Mission Santa Ines surpassed expectations and delivered a powerful look in history past...truly earning this "if you have an interest, then take the time to see this" 5 Star Review.
