I was immediately intrigued by this and was really looking forward to how the rest of the park was going to look. Despite the name, it was not a very fairytale filled park. It was quite the hike to get to the playground, and the playground itself was just that, no frills or special effects. I thought it might be themed to some of the stories by him! But still, it's a nice park, with lots of hiking trails, a playground and even an skatepark!

I had really bad AT&T cell phone coverage in most of the adorable little town of Los Olivos, but I was able to get a little cell phone reception in this park. It is a great little park to escape the heat of a summer day, walk your dog or enjoy a nice picnic in the midst of numerous wine tasting rooms. It is located on the southwest corner of Grand Avenue and Alamo Pintado Avenue.

It is listed as the 19th of 21 Spanish Missions in CA...founded in 1804 , completed in 1807. The mission contains a working Catholic Church, a chapel (closed on the weekends), beautiful gardens, cemetery, museum and gift shop. There is plenty of parking available. To take the self guided tour...enter the Gift Shop and pay the fee. Once paid, the Attendant will present you with a map and general directions and off you go! If you're there when there is a "service" in the Church, the museum door to the Church is locked so you'll need to enter the Church from its main entrance. The museum has lots of interesting items, but the collection of 15th century Vestments is stunning (a must see). The beautiful gardens have walking paths along which there are several small stone structures (Shrines) that are very picturesque and worth visiting. We spent at least 2.5 hours "taking it all in" and enjoyed this visit and the conversations it inspires tremendously. On this occasion...in this Yelper's opinion, the Old Mission Santa Ines surpassed expectations and delivered a powerful look in history past...truly earning this "if you have an interest, then take the time to see this" 5 Star Review.

The area is peaceful, and there's a bench right next to the wind harp, making it convenient to spend a few moments here appreciating this unique piece and its history.

This wind harp is located at the Atterdag Village of Solvang care center where there's also a…read morenursing home. This originally topped one of the towers at the Danish Pavilion at San Francisco's 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition. After the expo was over, the buildings were demolished and this wind harp was transported to its current location in Solvang. It plays peaceful music when the wind blows but it's not something I would go out of my way to visit. I was in, took a couple pictures, and left within minutes.

We visited during Christmas time and must say it's a must see. It's beautiful. The park provides a…read morelight show with music every 30 minutes and the show lasts about 15 minutes. It's FREE and open to the public. It's located in the center of Downtown Solvang. There's free public parking behind the park. There are tables and benches off to the side. They also wooden displays around where kids and/or adults can take pictures. Overall a beautiful time to visit since the rest of the businesses also get into the festive move and everything is decorated.
