Initially, I was drawn to this company because they answered very promptly and were up front about pricing. Most tint places will lure you in first to high ball you on a price, but he was very direct, and the price was competitive and affordable. I needed an appointment as soon as possible, and we were able to arrange me to come in early the next day. It's a one man shop, but the work he did was terrific, and took less time than I expected. Thick aluminum frames (much meatier than my neighbors), and they didn't just screw them into my windows. They use metal clamps to secure the frames, not plastic like others I've seen fail in the Texas sun. My screens really have an affect on the temperature inside my house. I used the Yelp messaging feature to get quotes from a few different places, and they were the first to reply and offered to come next-day with samples & estimate. The two sales reps that came (Bianca & Alexis) were super sweet and very honest/straightforward. No BS upselling. They were also very respectful of my home and cleanliness standards. Installers came 1 day later and the end result is exactly what I wanted--looks awesome. I elected for Madico Starlite 28 film (see pics). Ugh! I'm a bit disappointed…read more Proline Glass & Mirror replaced a window pane for me back in May 2022 for $200. I called back recently, 5 months later, to replace another pane that's exactly the same and was quoted $350. When I asked why there was such a jump in pricing in less than six months, they said, "Glass went up 40% ... Prices are increasing every day in the construction industry. I have no control over it, unfortunately." Okay? So my increase is way more than 40%? So I called three other glass companies with the highest quote at $180. Wow, that's even lower than the first price I paid. I'm just flabbergasted! Compared to other local small businesses, the prices Proline Glass & Mirror quoted are astronomically more, and especially for a repeat customer. For these reasons, I must update my review and drop my rating.
