The Vintage Marketplace is so much larger inside than it looks from the outside! As with all "antique" shops, I prefer when everything is truly antique. Several vendors here have purchased new items and are selling them: pins from your favorite shows like Friends, cheap jewelry from overseas and candles with kitschy sayings. That's always such a turn off for me. The actual vintage pieces are very cool- I walked with several jewelry scores! The owner was at the front while I was checking out when I asked for a deal on 2 of the most expensive pieces in my pile. He basically responded "no" with no further explanation. I wished there was a bit of wiggle room after spending quite a bit of money.

There was a whole new rotation of merchandise being rotated in for the holiday season. Store is clean and well organized. Plenty of great finds all at a modest price. The downstairs section was in my opinion much better than the upstairs portion with better collection items! Plenty of parking. Access to the streets can be tricky too. Overall, great store.

Went shopping there today and was swindled out of $10 by the woman at the counter! Picked up a…read moresweet vintage sweater that was marked $10, put it up at the counter with some other things (so I could shop hands free) and kept wandering for a bit. After perusing a while longer I went to check out. Was told the total was $31 and some change..... I was so confused and asked how (the real price should have been $21 something) so she goes on to say "oh yeah the sweater is $20, that's $10 and half off and those are so and so and so and so". Well, that's odd - I thought.... But I wanted the sweater so I just paid to get out of there. (Paid cash like an idiot and didn't get a receipt ) Got to my car to check the price tag on the sweater and what do ya know?? She took it every other price tag was still intact on every other item I purchased (as I know some antique stores save the tags for the separate vendors to keep track) so now it's double Hinky!! I'm bummed I didn't go back in and ask to see the tag but what can I do now. Oh well, live and learn. Hang onto your items if you shop here otherwise you're liable to fall prey to the age old switcharoo!

I'm a big vintage/antique shopper and I am really surprised I never found this place, since it's…read moreapparently been around for ten years, but maybe that's due to the limited hours: only open on weekends, theoretically 12-4 but even then it may vary (best to check the Facebook page, it seems). There's a lot of cool stuff to look at here, some of it of the creepier variety (taxidermy, bones, etc.) Plus lots of stuff pertaining to magic, movies, neon signs, uranium glass, vintage guitars, you name it. I didn't find anything today that fit my particular collecting needs, but I have already told 2 friends about this place. Worth checking out, just check the hours in advance.

We find everything we are looking for(or did not realize that we were looking for) here, from antique books, wet specimens, to Boar's Heads, Dolls, to Alien collectibles.

I'm glad that I did because this is a very nicely curated antique shop with a little vintage thrown in here and there for good measure. As far as pricing went I felt it was pretty reasonable for the most part. What really made the experience all the better though was the absolutely friendly shopkeeper who was working at the time. They were nice to everyone they interacted with and we had a nice conversation while I was perusing. I didn't leave with anything but I saw a couple of things I might come back for.

Gladly I managed to get in recently during business hours: what a cool vintage shop! So much stuff packed into this space down the street from Quiubo and Sparrow coffee. Art, jewelry, furniture, knickknacks, collectibles...make some time because you'll want to look at everything. The only thing I can critique is that, as someone using a cane, the pathways around the shop were rather crowded with stuff. I shouldn't fear tripping on merchandise! Overall, worth checking out if you're a vintage fan in downtown Naperville.
