BEWARE OF HAPPY CLEANING IN LONDON, ONTARIO!!!! THEY CHARGED MY VISA WAY TOO MUCH, WITHOUT MY KNOWLEGE. I paid triple the quote I was given. Happy Cleaning was hired for an after-wedding clean-up. I was given a invoice of $299.00. However, after the event, the company charged by visa an additional $690.18. This charge was not authorized.
Also, I overcharged for the amount of work the company provided. Total amount charged to my visa was $899. I contacted Happy Cleaning about my dispute. Their reply was that I was charged for 2 hours labour for 2 cleaners (their minimum fee). Prior to work being done, I was never told the company had a minimum amount. My dispute is that the two cleaners worked a total of 40 minutes (not 2 hours as they claim). The company was supposed to arrive at 1:00 am. I called them at 1:15 to see where they were. Several family members and the bartender had already started the cleanup. The venue's bar tender said he closed/locked up the venue by 2:00 am. Therefore, the cleaners could not have worked 2 hours as they state/charged me - until 3:15am. On top of that, the only supplies brought in by the Happy Cleaner's was 1 garbage bag. The venue's bartender and and several family members (who assisted with event cleanup), have agreed to write a statement confirming my dispute about the length of time the cleaners worked (along with property security cameras). When I contacted the company, they state 2 cleaners worked 2 hours (which is incorrect). I don't mind paying the company, but only the amount of time worked. $899 for 45 minutes work is ridiculous! I've contacted Better Business Bureau, our venue, and my credit card company. read more
