The Beef Chow-fun was incredibly tasty and the beef was very tender. The Crab Rangoon was very balanced in flavor and hot and crispy. Lastly the Pork Egg-roll was completely on point and seasoned well. Highly recommended.

Judging based on the two items I've gotten so far (and have ordered multiple times in only the past month), this place is toe to toe with some spots I've had in china towns of Houston and Atlanta. It will sound like an exaggeration but the flavor is authentic, the quanities are great, and the price is fair. Beef Chow fun (5/5): this beef chow fun is at least as good as ones I've had at almost every other restaurant apart from House of bowls in houston. Huge and plentiful beef chunks (flank I believe) that are super tender every time I've ordered. Plenty of crunchy bean sprouts to balance out the chewy wide rice noodles. The rice noodles always have a great texture and are soaked in the addicting brown sauce. The only thing I can think of that makes this just beneath the best spot in Houston's china town is that the sear is lighter on the beef flank and noodles, resulting in a slightly less smoky taste. This is probably just due to a lower heated wok. Overall this is my favorite dish in Augusta and I wouldn't be ashamed to bring family here when they visit no matter where they are from. Hunan chicken (4.5/5): The hunan chicken was a dish I ordered to see if other dishes tasted authentic here, and it also exceeded expectations. The dish is just spicy enough that there's a small kick without being overwhelming. There is a subtle fermented bean flavor similar to laoganma, making it stand apart from your average stirfried chicken dish you would find in other less authentic chinese restaurants. Like the beef flank in the beef chow fun, the chunks of chicken here are also plentiful and every single time I've ordered, they have been ridiculously tender. Plenty of snowsnap peas, carrots, and broccoli that are crunchy yet soaked in the brown sauce that goes great with white rice. I ordered this one with the egg roll and fried rice as a combo the first time. The egg roll is crispy and filled with pork/cabbage, less greasy than others I have had in Augusta. The fried rice is decent but a bit too salty. I recommend sticking to white rice. The only .5 I knocked off is because the Hunan chicken is just a tad saltier than I would like, but it's not a big issue with enough white rice. Definitely happy to have stopped by here after seeing a picture of their beef chow fun on google reviews. I have definitely found my Chinese spot in Augusta that isn't just solid for an Augusta Chinese spot but genuinely an authentic experience by any standard.

Don't sleep on this place....every dish is full of flavor and large portions. Eat in or carry out. Try the lemon pepper wings too!

Inside: serving take out food and there are 3 tables available for indoor dining. Restrooms are closed.

Driving through Augusta, we stopped by this place due to its great Yelp reviews. How? Do locals know how is Chinese food supposed to taste like? We ordered large beef lo mein and large beef and broccoli. You can pay cash or debit car. In case you wanna pay credit card, there is a $5 minimum and a 3.99% surcharge! They do mostly take outs but have 3 tables available inside. We wanted to dine in. Now, nobody told us that they don't serve food on real plates with real silverware. You will be given styrofoam plates with these wobbly cheapo plastic forks. The food didn't taste amazing at all. The noodles were bland and my daughter found something really hard in her beef meat piece. Beef and broccoli wasn't amazing either. They also give you soy sauce pouches with fake soy sauce. Check out the photo I took and see for yourself. First time we didn't like a place that had great Yelp reviews. Two thumbs down.

Rather good Chinese Restaurant out of nowhere, seems like family owned, very busy. However,,fast service and affordable. We enjoyed the pork fried rice and tofu and vegetable dish. Delicious. The restaurant allowed us to eat in, while others did the takeout. Big portion for $21.00

This place is definitely hidden as it's set back from the main road. I have some criteria for American-Chinese and this place set precedence for my first place in Augusta. I ordered the shrimp lo mein in the large which set me up for three meals total. I probably could have phoned this in ahead of time, but the wait was fairly typical - about 10 minutes. It was made to order. Staff is pleasant. Prices seem great and affordable. The interior of the place was clean, and the best of all, the food was NOT greasy. I can't attest to the standards of saltiness because of my impaired view while being sick...but honestly, I'll return here every. single. time. I'm craving Chinese takeout.

This place is standard fare in the world of Chinese food. They have great prices, especially for the portions; however, the flavors were just okay. Will I eat there again? Probably. Is it the best Chinese food in Augusta? I hope not. Still on the hunt for my go to place. I had a lunch order of garlic chicken, hot and sour soup, and crab rangoons (not pictured). The rangoons were really really good--crispy, perfectly creamy and flavorful filling. The rest of the meal was fine, but fell short of my hopes and expectations. The flavors were a little lack luster. However, I got all of this food at lunch for $11--so at least it's a good deal.

Chicken with garlic sauce lunch special with white rice

This place is one of the best chinese restaurants in the downtown area and also one of the nicest places to come to. It's not everyday that I find alot of chinese restaurants in downtown so trying the locations out is a treat. The chicken with garlic sauce lunch special with white rice and hot, delicious and the perfect meal for lunch and the service was wonderful and there was barely anyone here except a couple of customers. You will have to wait 10 to 15 minutes I believe for your food so be sure to bring something to occupy you for a bit. Overall, I highly recommend Happy Garden all around :)
