I went at 5:30 on a Sunday. Standard Chinese interior. Welcomed & seated by hostess who took drink order ( hot tea). There were 6 other tables full. I ordered egg roll, wanton soup & chicken chow main. All were delicious. I had no problem finding chicken as it was a generous portion. Waitress was always available. The only recommendation I would make is to ensure using a soapy wipe on table to prevent stickiness. read more

I got the Mongolian beef lunch special. The flavor of the meat was good, but I wish there was more of it. I'd say the portion was 80% onions and 20% meat. I also got the hot and sour soup and it had no flavor at all. And the crunchies that went with it were super greasy, but not crisp. read more

Gotta say I LOVE the Happy Buddha & Foo Dogs that greet ya!!! Hard to find a good laughing Buddha! Hot & Sour soup was pretty good. Serving was a cup-size and not a lot of ingredients, but came with some crispy wonton noodles to crunch up and add to it. Moo shu pork would have been spot-on except the cabbage was super under cooked. Tasty though. Pork Egg Foo Young was delicious. I should have gotten the gravy on the side. I'm not a fan of it - just me. But, I would order again. Gravy on the side. Will try this place again on a future trip down. Service was fine. read more

Had a great dinner at Jade of China. Staff was friendly and helpful. They have a good menu with lots to choose from. Food was delicious and made well. Long running (30+years) Ameri-Chinese food joint on Pine Log Road. Recently had Sunday lunch there with extended family in tow. I will say the atmosphere checked all the boxes of what an old school restaurant like this should look like--from the giant gold laughing Buddhas greeting patrons at the entrance to the Chinese Zodiak paper placemats. As for the food, pretty hit-or-miss. Solid hot and sour soup and spring rolls made for a promising start. However, the Happy Family entree was drowned in soy based sauce, making it too salty and one-note to enjoy. Mongolian Beef was oddly sweet but without any heat and the protein overwhelmed by too many onions and scallions. The Shrimp Lo Mein was inoffensive but not much else. Front of house staff was friendly and our server was cold but efficient. An overall inconsistent experience that could have been better. (2.5 stars). read more

My co-worker ordered me chicken broccoli and it came with white sauce instead of brown sauce. It's absolutely gross and looks like snot! When I called up to the restaurant the lady stated that, that's how they make their sauce and you have to request brown sauce. How???? I have never seen any Chinese restraint have a white sauce that's thick and clear and looks exactly like snot! Plus it's not mentioned on the menu. The lady then proceeds to say that everyone that goes there knows and I must be a new customer. Like, what? If it's not mentioned anywhere and it's not on the menu how is anyone suppose to know? Ordered the Lunch Special Sweet & Sour Pork with the Fried Rice option. When plate came there was not one tiny vegetable or piece of fruit on the plate. Not even a pea or cubed carrot in the rice. They claimed they have served it that way for years. Once home I Googled Sweet & Sour Pork to look at all photos and 100% had some type of pepper red or green, onion, and some pineapple. Fried rice pictures had peas,carrots maybe some green onion. Jade of China I don't care what you have to charge but make it right as today's lunch was just offal and poorly made and I was told that's the way it's made. This place was just ok. I don't think there are many Chinese take out options in the area. Down side they don't delivery. Food had good flavor and spicy. We got orange chicken, Kung pow chicken, shrimp fried rice, and Mongolian beef. Kung pow chicken had too much celery and peanuts and chestnuts and not enough large pieces of chicken. Ordered take out yesterday: got my faves of Fried Cheese Wontons and Fried Rice. Carb loaded...awesome as always. Usually I get the hot/sour soup, but since it is summer, I didn't this time. The staff is always kind and generous. Portions are very good. They do have the BEST fried rice. No wonder they were voted Best Chinese Restaurant AGAIN by the local Newspaper readers. read more

This Chinese restaurant is consistently very good. Everything is delicious. They stay busy, so you know that's a good sign. Favorites are Mongolian Beef, General Gau Chicken and potstickers, fried cheese wontons, sesame chicken and the rices. They are very kind, efficient, and quick. They use high quality chicken. I honestly didn't know what to expect before coming, as I didn't read any reviews previously since I was meeting a friend. And I'm glad I didn't, because this place is actually really great! The host greeted and seated us right as we walked in. The waiter was very pleasant and checked up on us routinely without hovering. The atmosphere has an ethnic feel to it with red accents, relaxing music, and slightly dimmed lights. Our food came out very quickly and was delicious!! I had chicken fried rice and it came with a good amount of chicken, super important! My friend got veggie pad thai which she enjoyed very much. The place is super clean, and the bathroom smelled very good. It's the little things that count! Just when I think I have seen it all, out pops the most absolute, god awful food I have had in years... no decades. Ladies and Gentlemen do not eat at this disaster unless you enjoy chewy by on wet, dirty rugs. That's what my fiancé and I had to experience. Think of any adjective that would describe horrible food and that is exactly what our take out food was... $40.00 down the drain. Be forewarned and STAY AWAY!!!!! The fried rice house did not have a taste. The pork in the rice was dry, the shrimp was okay. I did not see another meat. I was disappointed by the whole order of wings, fried dumplings and rice. Im going to give this Chineese Rest. a 5 star. Its run by the same family that opened it up years ago. you NEVER have an empty glass and the sweet tea is really good. Prices are very reasonable and its the perfect place to eat after church on sunday afternoon! Garlic Chicken was my favorite, then I found Almond Fried Chicken which is the heat! THEN I found Chicken Cantoneese that is a mixture of Almond Fried Chicken and Garlic Chicken, so that is what i get now. The Dragon Soup is delicious too. read more

We order take out from here. We have never eaten in. They have the food ready within fifteen minutes of ordering. I get the General Chicken. It's is big pieces of chicken. Not those little dry nuggets some places make. The sauce is good. The sweetness is mild, not overpowering. I usually ask for extra spicy, but it is typically mild for me. I have a high tolerance for hot foods tho. Tonight it was very hot! The first time I have sweated. The other dish we typically get is chicken lo Mein. I consider this dish average. It is very tasty. I am not a noodle expert. The staff there is very very nice. We have not eaten many dishes. So this review is focused on a couple dishes. Overall the food seems to be prepared nicely and the staff is pleasant. read more

The shrimp in the Peking Shrimp are huge and succulent. The vegetables in the Beef with Vegetables dish were crisp stir fry in a delightful brown sauce. Last 4 pick up orders were wrong. Chicken dry. Fried rice is just white rice tossed with some soy sauce. General Tso's chicken is fried chicken pieces in a sweet sauce with a few dried chili's thrown in. Called them and received a "don't care" attitude. Done and done with this restaurant.
