First time we had been to this Chinese restaurant. The buffet is outstanding. All food fresh, hot and abundant. Many items to choose from. We were seated quickly by a friendly staff member and she brought our drinks in a timely manner. She was friendly and efficient, tended to our needs without hovering. Other staff members took used plates as they walked by. It was also strikingly quite as most places play loud music and customers have to talk above that music. This was very relaxing and enjoyable. The price for the lunch buffet was around $6.50 per person. The variety of food was good, though there were many types of chicken, not so many types of beef. They also have a small variety of 'American' food (onion rings, mini corn dogs) alongside the Chinese food. The food is average, except for the lo mein, which I thought was delicious. Not what the old one used to be. No choices for vegetarians really. Cramped. Service seems to be lacking. And food quality seems not what it used to be. Maybe it's because so many people are rushing the place since it re opened. But this once regular is no longer a regular. Wasn't even offered a menu only the Buffett. It is hit and miss to me, Service is poor, but the girls expect a tip. Never ask me if I want a refill on my drink, I have to ask them. Food is often sit there for an hour, and they don't bring it out fresh, Esp if the owners wife is working the buffet. Pretty well disappointed the last 4 or 5 times I have been there. Then by the time you are stuffed from the old, cold food, and ready to leave, then they start bring out fresh. All and all not worth it to me these days. Then you dont even set your fork down, and they are grabbing your empty dish. I guess they think that is good service. They are a PITA. Delicious Chinese food. Best Chinese food place in Marshall County! Food on buffet is usually very fresh but if you want a real treat, order fresh from their menu or get it to go and pick it up.
