Honestly, I have had a lot of therapy and know the tools I need to use to be positive, etc, however, they don't always work. Hypnosis just makes sense on a practical level. I cant express how thankful I am with Yasmine. I remember I called her on a Saturday, I was having anxiety attacks daily since my school was shut down and my life pretty much was put on hold due to the Corona Virus. Ive never had hypnosis in the past and honestly never imagined i would be interested in it but when my anxiety was unbearable due to Covid, i started googling the benefits. I didn't know what to think about Hypnosis and hypnosis therapy, because I believed it to be something more related to magic and magic tricks. The common misconception about how hypnotherapy actually works pretty much prevented me from ever considering it as a treatment for my incessant feelings, and memories, of shame. I made an appointment with Yasmine for October 1, 2015 to help me quit smoking. I have been smoking since I was 16, at least 1/2 a pack a day and up to a pack a day. I had quit for a 2 year period in my mid-twenties, but other than that, I had been smoking for 17 years. I had tried quitting a couple of times before. The patch did nothing for me. The gum gave me headaches. Wellbutrin made me slow and lethargic. I did not have the will power for cold turkey. I was told to throw away all cigarettes and lighters before coming to my session. Yup, I did that in the parking lot of the office. Yasmine walked me through the actual hypnotherapy process so I understood how it worked and why it would work. She explained it very clearly and concisely and in a way so I could understand the process in laymen's terms. I went through my session and she gave me tools to help me combat cravings. Smoking was my crutch. I got stressed, I smoked. I'm always stressed, so I was always smoking. But when I got stressed and I had craving, I now had specific tools and techniques to help me get past the craving. It was not easy. Hypnotherapy was not about tricking me into not having cravings. It was to teach me new techniques to help me overcome my cravings. The first couple of days were difficult for me (and Yasmine never promised me that it wouldn't be difficult), but she did prescribe a protocol to deal with my cravings and I also had recordings I could listen to for the first week. Today is Saturday, May 21st. I have not smoked for over 7 months now. I breathe much easier and I enjoy life much more. I truly believe hypnotherapy can be used as a tool and technique to help people with so many issues. Even if you're a skeptic, call Yasmine and learn about the hypnotherapy process.
