The band was great, but the music was not about praising and worshiping Jesus. The message was not about the Gospel and Good News, which is the revelation of Jesus Christ our savior. There were references to "god" and a greater power- but not the Power of the Almighty who Loves us personally. This is not a place to find a Savior, a God who can change your life and your eternity. It might be welcoming and friendly, but it does not present Biblical Truth, and the Saving Grace of God. Beware.

This is a place that helps you heal, uses the bible to share insight on modern challenges and goes above and beyond to help the community. The focus is on Christ and serving others. All who walk through the door will be loved for who they are and not how much they donate. The worship band is extremely talented. The Christmas and Easter services are worthy of being on television every year and there are many events throughout the year that are free for families. Professional nursery and services for the little ones, youth ministry for the older ones. Skip the long wait at the local restaurants for a Sunday morning meal because they have a coffee/breakfast bar that has great food and coffee with some healthy options at very affordable prices. They do oil changes for FREE to anyone who needs one on the last Saturday of every month. Finding the right church is a very personal opinion. Wars have been started over religion since the beginning of time. This church has PHD pastors who have studied at major, accredited universities. They are doing the best that they know how to and can. If your beliefs line up with their message, you have found a welcoming home. If they don't, they will wish you peace on your journey. They don't pass judgement and they don't pass an offering plate.

Its great to be part of such an exciting church where you have so many ministries and opportunities. There is a place for YOU--whether you are looking to be a part of a certain ministry or you just need to be ministered to. (Or you are normal--and need both.) We have 3 small kids and we were worried about their transition, they could not be happier. Can't wait to see how God is going to grow and change us. People openly talk about how my body looks here like I can't hear them- body shaming is a big thing nowadays, and I've heard a TON of it since I've been here. I think I'm beautiful and am sorry my body is so triggering lol for so many of you. Ive also met some very amazing people here, but when the majority leans the other way (at least in the areas I've been in) I'm out. I mean seriously the police here were probably the nicest people I met for any extended period of time. The police were more kind and comforting to me than an angry woman at a CHURCH. If you don't know about God/Jesus etc. and this place was your first experience, and it went badly- I really hope you don't give up, and think that is what it's about- cause it's not. Call another church until you find somewhere that feels to good to you. Generally speaking- you should leave a church feeling uplifted, and supported in case life gets ya.

After we had decorated they allowed another group to come in and hold a memorial service!!! They promised us a professional sound guy. He was a "fill in" for someone else and made so many mistakes we could have cried. He refused the volume we requested for our songs and wouldn't tell us why. I could go on and on! We decided on Unity because it had a great indoor chapel and adjoining hall for our reception. We married in July and the temperature inside was perfect in both locations, and dry since it rained that day. Our wedding was amazing. Unity is set in a forest setting with large windows and a chapel feel. The hall has been redone a week before we were married, and had great tile floors and a spacious kitchen. The staff is friendly and accommodating but I recommend that you cater and use your own sound person as we did for a wedding because they are not really equipped for it. My son is in the restaurant business and is a local DJ so he handled the music and food. You can't ask for a better facility though and the price charged is REALLY reasonable compared to other venues in Sarasota. We had a great wedding day and I highly recommend this venue for a wedding.
