Stopped by for some swings. This business is outdoors, so prepared to get hot and burnt. The bats were in decent condition, but the helmets were a bit smelly. A decent number of the machines were out of order.

$10 for 100 hits. My 7 year old and his cousin had a great time! Well worth it! We will definitely be retuning!

So this year, we decided to head to Myrtle Beach to the Ripken Experience. We did the week long…read moretournament and everyone made a vacation out of it. The fields are absolutely awesome. It's an experience I'm so glad my son got to experience and I got to coach at. Everything was immaculate. Very clean. The staff was phenomenal. Couldn't have been any more helpful. The onsite photography company, Glossy Finish, was on their game. They got action shots of my son that I could never get. So why only 3 stars??? Before the tournament, we had a coach's meeting. At the meeting, we have the head umpire go over everything and tell us how "approachable" the umpires are and that they're "AAA" umpires. Ok. Great. Now in my 25 years of coaching, I may have had 3 arguments with an umpire. My goal is to get these players ready for HS. We had 2 catchers with us. In game 2, our other catcher started. Wound up getting very labored in the heat. We switch catchers during the inning to get him some rest. He leads off when we get up. I notice when he gets to first, he's breathing EXTREMELY heavy. I ask for time and ask to speak to the umpires. The plate umpire responds "What's the issue?" I was like. The kid has heat exhaustion and his hyperventilating. Can we get a medic. He actually says... "You need to discuss that with your coach. " I responded, "Don't you work here? How would he know how to get a medic here??? Can we get someone here before this kid passes out?" The whole time, the field umpire could care less and didn't even take a step towards the poor kid to see what his condition was. Ultimately, he got medical attention, but these 2 guys, 1 of which we wound up having almost every game, were the most unapproachable human beings I've ever met. Even the other team commented to me, "What was that about?" I'm still confused. The rest of the week went fine, I knew what kind of person I was dealing with officiating wise and just went about our business. All in all, a great facility to play baseball.

Our boy played in the beach blast baseball tournament during the week of 6/16 and this facility has it all. Plenty of baseball fields with turf and batting cages galore. The food options were all around decent with snacks and hot food to choose from. The price points were impressively economical as well. Be sure to pick up your souvenirs at the gift shop and don't miss Chik-fil-A pop up shop if hungry. The staff did amazing as they played great music at the fields and tactfully announced the walk up for each kid giving it a big ballpark feel. We saw turtles in the water basins as well. Plenty of parking and is close to a lot of food and entertainment in the area. They also have a live stream video link to allow folks who could not make it, a chance to watch live or go and save highlights later for an additional cost. You cannot bring a camera yourself to live stream fyi. The paid photo package includes a live photographer capturing some amazing photos of your athletes to digitally download. Be sure to bring sunscreen and bug spray. They allow coolers (no alcohol), chairs and umbrellas. They sell alcohol at the carts or food grille. It was hot and humid but well worth the experience and price point for the tournament was surprisingly less than Cooperstown which was a win! Take me out to the ballgame! Thanks Myrtle Beach Ripken Experience for an amazing week! PXF Arizona

In January, the "email signature" stated:…read more "To manage your payment method, visit 'your card dashboard'" (a link that removes your card) OR "contact Extra Effort Sports LLC using the information above" (which only included their company name and business mailing address). In the February email, the "email signature" was updated, and that section was removed. Now, the only option to delete your card profile is hidden within the invoice they sent in February--a new addition they didn't have in January (for disclosure, I signed up in December). So, between the two renewals, there are multiple deviations. If you click "pay invoice" in the invoice email--which is sent the same day they charge you, and 40 minutes before they do--you can access an option to remove your card info. In both the previous January method and the current February method, you receive no notification that your card was removed successfully; you only see a confirmation screen upon doing so. Even when you remove your card info, they still have your card number, which they manually write down on your sign-up sheet. This number may or may not be charged by them regardless. The paid invoice states " Card on file or keyed in manually", so who knows... Not only do they instruct you to come in, call, or text, but they also state that if non-payment is made for five consecutive days, the membership will be canceled (which I had intended by card info removal), and a rejoin fee will need to be paid to restart the recurring service. With all that being said, you have to trust that if you do remove your card info--since you do NOT get a notification when doing so--they will not charge your card using the card information taken at sign-up. I reached out to them, and an owner I spoke with was, to say the least, condescending. She also sent a closing statement via Facebook chat before blocking me: "I hope you are satisfied with taking advantage of a small business. Blessings to you." This was sent following my message: "It's unfortunate that, had I been in a debilitating circumstance and charged indefinitely, there would be no recourse. However, I understand that you may be struggling for the $61, so it seems you need the $280+ more than we do. I wish you all well in your potential growth." So I'm confused as to where we're the ones taking advantage of a small business when we're the ones who continued being charged for a service we had removed payment for and did not use, but are being refused a refund. Blessings to you! *Response to "business" - I stated when you you remove your card information you're told it was successfully removed. You do not receive a notification of any kind when doing so for your "business" so one would assume like any "business" you cancel slash remove payment for the service stops once your paid for month runs out after removing your info. So why would I contact you when I removed payment, why would I worry that I would be charged when I already removed payment, why would I micro manage my account with you all when I already did the necessary step to make sure it didn't continue. Maybe your old link via the January email didn't inform you hence the reason you removed it and chose to not have it there. When I checked to make sure my card info was removed already from the account there is no direct way to check other than answer a question on the site. Maybe that sent you an updated card removal, but either way I had removed it in January nonetheless. You are correct I did contact my bank already, but that doesn't change the fact that I have the freedom of speech and everyone else has a right to know if they search your "business" up what the "expectations" are... although you seem to change those to your liking. As you said, cardholders must come in and cancel, but then rebuttal with you can call, text, or email, or not pay for 5 days... I don't know. Again, Blessings to you!

That really shocked me since it was a grand opening weekend, I thought it was a good concept and there'd be a way better turnout but definitely not when we were there. The customer service wasn't anything special, our friends asked where the bathroom was and the employee was unsure stating they thought it was possibly around the backside of the building. On the sign it explains the cost of everything, 10 tokens $10 and 20 tokens $20. Isn't that the same thing almost unless I am definitely missing the catch? Please tell me if I am. Lol! Usually There's a deal posted after the initial cost, to try and get you to spend a little more. Something like 10 tokens $10 or 20 tokens for $15. Thankful for how hard the staff was working keeping the machines loaded up with the balls. So much energy put into running around picking them up and making sure they're all still going. You guys are doing awesome! All in all, fun for all ages and a good time any day of the week.
