Neat ways to interact with the golf landscaping.

Really great putt putt course - which is probably best exemplified by the adult couples that we saw running through the full 18-holes multiple times, back-to-back. The course is in good shape, the holes are challenging enough without being too much or too similar, and it's a relatively cute area to look at. However, it also is lacking in much shade and has quite a few stairs and uneven terrain, so keep that in mind for safety and outdoor temperatures. Would highly recommend though. :) PROS: -Pretty well-maintained course. None of the greens were peeling and all of the barricades were all there. No blocks were loose or uncomfortable. -The decor was cute too. Unnaturally blue water, giant animal statues, beach trees and plants, and water fountains are pretty much covering every inch of this place. -Pretty good variety of obstacles. It isn't just a standard, flat course. There are some hills, some rocks to go around, and lots of changes in elevation to play with. It gives you a nice change of pace from a lot of the old-school, standard holes. -No two holes are particularly similar. Honestly, it feels like 18 separate, different challenges. -Benches at every hole - sometimes two benches. This was SO helpful as we were getting to some of the later holes. Everyone was really hot and sweaty. CONS: -Minimal shade. Really, really minimal shade. Either come on a cloudy day or twilight because 80-degrees felt death-like. -The first half of the course borders the very-busy thoroughfare in Myrtle Beach. It isn't the end of the world, but it can be hard to hear your teammates in the earlier parts of the course. It gets better as you go. -Lots of uneven stairs. They've done the best they could, but the course does change in elevation - a lot - over the final 9 holes. There are stairs with no ramps - and some don't even have railings. Definitely need some stability here and the ability to go up and down a flight of stairs for the final 3 holes.

Nice course, but pretty pricey! The scenes are nice and it is kid friendly. Kids seemed to love the animals and waterfalls. They sold small ice cream and things.

The man working was SO friendly! The course had nice obstacles and we went at a time that wasn't crowded (which was nice to not feel rushed) The decorations are a bit dated but just needs a fresh coat of paint. We asked about "the mystery hole" and ended up getting a free round of golf!

Compared to other local mini golf this one had very nice bathrooms but had several downsides. First. It was all outdoors and not the best choice for a rainy day. Good news is when raining it is empty. The course conditions and staff were pretty well up to snuff but the landscaping was minimally maintained and the decorations were underwhelming. They do have an all day play option and might be worth the expense if you're looking for dollars per hour of fun ratio.

Proof of my payment they claimed didn't go through!

Charged my card then made us pay again. The guy claimed it didn't go through. I showed him the charge on my bank app. He still mad us pay again! I own a business and would never treat a paying customer this way. BUYER BEWARE!

Kids 13,11,5 and 45 had a great time. I enjoyed how clean it was since I took my shoes off to walk and keep score. Very friendly atmosphere!

Since the time of my original Yelp about the Pine Lakes County Club aka "The Granddaddy", I've…read morevisited down to the Myrtle Beach area about five more times and during these visits have gotten to enjoy several more dining experiences over at the establishment. There hasn't been a bad meal yet, and the service is quite friendly and fast. They set up a large buffet a few times a week and each is themed. So far I've done the Taco night, Stuffed Pork Chop night, Italian night and so on and everything has been fantastic and for a very good price. This is important considering just how much the cost of food has gotten in this current economy. Now I've never been a pork chop person but I do indeed love their stuffed pork chops. That should tell you something. Mary Bell is the woman in charge of the team preparing the dinner service and she's awesome. I've found Mary checking in with patrons in the dining area as well as being one of the folks helping people get their eats on the buffet line with a smile and a quick chat. My folks are there so much that they now seem like old friends. It's a pleasant atmosphere for sure and you will not leave hungry. I'm not lying when I say that I look forward to my next visit to the folks so we can all enjoy the Pine Lakes together again as a family. I'm talking about the dining and not the golfing. I leave that part to my Pop. Things I've learned as well over the time I've been here is that you can get a gift certificate of any denomination so if you have friends or relatives in the region and they show interest in the place you've just crossed one more item off your holiday list. If you're there by all means check them out,

Prestwick hosted the first of our three round tournament this past weekend, and even though some of…read morethe later clubs were very highly billed, this was probably my favorite course of the three from a pure golf perspective. I love a Pete Dye design, and while one of my courses back home is my favorite example, this one would not be far behind. Driving in you're confronted with a well manicured neighborhood, towering clubhouse with exceptional view of the 9th and 18th holes, plenty of parking, and a substantial restaurant and bar area. Everything about check in was a well oiled machine, and all the staff were courteous/helpful. The starter lied to us a little about how fast the greens were, preparing us for a very fast surface when i reality, it seemed about normal to me. Maybe I play a lot of fast greens? Not sure... but I didn't have putts racing away from me. Both the on course beverage cart and bar staff at the turn were great. Everything about the course was in great shape, except for the tee boxes, which we found to be pretty chewed up and absolutely covered in sand. Ultimately, if the one thing I am complaining about is the tee box, I can live with it. If I hit the ground on my tee shot, I probably did something wrong. Fairways were green and neither too hard or soft. Rough areas were recently cut, and the sandtraps were proper sand in most areas. The greens were flawless, and that's always the most important part to me, as I said before, rolled true not too fast. I had my worst round of the three here, but that was my own doing, not the course. There were scoring opportunities that I just didn't take advantage of. There is a good mix here of holes where you can let the big dog eat, and others where an iron or fairway wood off the tee is a smarter play. I'll definitely return here for another round on a future trip!

It was great course and great staff all the way around. I would highly recommend playing a round…read moreof golf, then getting some food.
