I've been given the attitude that these printers have to move heaven and earth just to print my documents in a decent quality. Smaller quantities always mean bigger prices, too. Contrast those experiences with Scott and Coastal Printing. He was HAPPY to help me when I explained what I needed and how I would be sending it to him. They print smaller quantities with no qualms. They answered my emails quickly and patiently. I sent the file to them by email at 5 a.m. (expecting to pick the job up 2 days later). An email arrived hours later telling me that my 150, 4-page full-color newsletters were ready to pick up at noon that same day w/o any extra charge. I sent them a PDF file converted from Publisher, and it looks great on 80# paper. My lesson learned is that I have a perfect printing service right in my own backyard with better prices than the online printers I was using - I'm glad I decided to look elsewhere for my printing needs and found Coastal Printing. I left a message with their office and the owner got back in touch with me promptly. That afternoon, he scheduled me in to come down and review some tentative designs and see what they might look like on my boat in real life. We settled on a simple vinyl letting design and color scheme after reviewing the options. The all-inclusive price came to be around the $300 mark, which was a little more than what I was expecting as compared to other sign shop quotes. The Newburyport Signs team agreed to come to my location and do the letting the next day, so I decided to go with them. As promised, a member of the team called me in the afternoon the next day to let me know they would be on the way to me shortly. The lettering job was completed quickly and professionally. So far, the lettering has held up great to the elements of the sea. Completely worth the few extra bucks to get the job done right.
