I ordered an iced "Montana" which was their regular roast with espresso with SF vanilla and SF coconut. This is what I received.... The ice was completely melted and it honestly looks like tea. It didn't taste terrible but I probably won't be back. The overall appearance of it looks gross. Service was good. read more

I love the quaint shop for chatting with friends, sipping coffee, studying, or just a break from everyday life!! Coffee is always hot and delicious!! I love their cafe au lait! On the 23 Dec 2020. Just to get the other items out the way. Ambiance: Chruchy hippy vibe. Staff: Had a look of lost hope, neverous like and innocence. Hence the apologies and forgetfulness of the order. Receipt says the wrong item with extra items added. Brought it up and just got an apology for the mess up. Even though they acknowledge the messed up the order then proceed to correct the order to an order that is still wrong. Drink: in summary water down coffee and no espresso just the illusion of it. Espresso and coffee drink non existent. Iced Mocha with an extra shot of espresso and a iced chai latte was the original. What we got was. Coffee, vanilla and ice literally and the second coffee was ice vanilla chai. Sweets: you can taste the sweetness. Light not strong on the sweet factor that could not make you get diabetes. However that is it. The tiramisu cup was just a simple sweet cake with fluff on top. No actual flavor to it or layers. Honestly I can not recommend this water down version of a Starbucks. Unless you don't want to make your own coffee. Even then that is a debate. This is just a first impression review. Your experience may differ depending on the staff. Whether I go in for coffee (the Mocha Latte is my fav), breakfast/lunch (fruit and nut chicken salad is killer), or a sweet snack, I'm always greeted with a smile. The service is normally fast, depending on how busy they are. The public uses Hard Bean in Lumberton as a meeting place for people to conduct business meetings, small groups for churches or students doing homework. I have ordered cakes on many occasions that were all delicious (my favorite so far was the lemon blueberry!). Me and my boyfriend was on the hunt for a good coffeeshop around Beaumont and found this place through Yelp. Although this place is ways off from the mall area, it was good coffee but not good enough to make me drive 17 minutes to get their coffee. I also ordered iced americano for me and my boyfriend and it came out looking like iced americanos but it just tasted like iced coffee. The receipt also said it was iced coffee with a little note off to the side saying americano. Password comes on your receipt. 6. Staff and owner are friendly and nice. Not As Good: 1. Food menu is on counter but more thorough menu is not visible from the counter. Didn't realize gluten free options were available. Similarly, there is no list of the various types of milk they have, but they do have coconut, almond, soy, lactose free, 2%, and whole. 2. The cheesecake round I had was too heavy on the lemon and the crust was unpleasant. But the other desserts in the case are made from scratch and look amazing, and I *will* be back for one of those. 3. Religious music playing and political and religious messaging on the shirts for sale. This is the best little place. The staff are all very friendly and attentive. There's a nice area to sit and eat your delicious treats and sip your coffee or tea. My hotel internet was not allowing me to work and the owner Diana allows you to use her WiFi and enjoy the atmosphere while checking in on you and making sure you're all set. Great coffee selections. My husband and I LOVE this coffee shop! My husband really enjoys their hot breakfast. We mostly go in the morning. They serve lunch and dinner as well. Cute little coffee shop my sister took me to while I was in town. I've been on an iced latte kick lately, so I ordered that without hesitation. Our drinks came out quickly. I noticed they were pretty much milk white indicating the coffee:milk ratio was off but decided to give it a try. We got in my car about to leave but something was off. My sister being the more outgoing one decided to ask how they were made out of curiosity. We were surprised to find out they made our iced lattes with their cold brew rather than espresso. My daughter loved her cookies and cream frapee but I didn't like it either, it just tasted like chocolate not like cookies and cream.... I'll have to stick with Star Bucks sorry! Owner is SUPER RESPONSIVE to reviews and the store atmosphere is great so for this reason if I could I would give you 3.5 stars because taste (my taste) is the primary factor I return! And for the record I only go to one star bucks because their stores are too busy and mess up drinks quite often and that was why I gave Hard Bean a try because it would be nice to have a closer to home less busy option! Seating is limited & it's atmosphere is uninviting ..and Unfortunately, due to my experience, when eating there, of staff not addressing several things, but approving of their actions , easily defined what this place's future was going to be..Here's what our party experienced that day...4 high school folks came in, took one of the limited tables up front in clear view of where you order & the staff was standing ...they never ordered & paid for a thing, but one of them began pulling edible items from his backpack and offering to others at the table.. after being there a good while, one of them went up to the staff & asked the staff (that was able to see what was going on), for a cup of ice which she freely gave to them .. they proceeded to add their "non-purchased" drink from their backpack to the cup of ice, others of their age gathered at the couch area in the back & only one of them had purchased a drink from this establishment.. all of this told me it's going to be a " hangout " . And the real straw that broke the camels back was when one of the male folks, in that group of kids at the front table, began applying underarm deodorant while sitting at the table and in the presence of the staff in charge..Also the food wasn't of the quality of the price charged so we wouldn't plan to order out...we won't be back!! read more
