I always try to visit Hard Rock Cafes during my travels, I generally find them to be pretty reliable while getting my grips to a new city on vacation, knowing I can have a safe and reliable gluten-free meal, with a menu that is pretty much the same worldwide, but sadly this was not the case here which is a real shame. After hearing good things about this place, in the reviews and the fact this location in Prague is one of Hard Rock Cafe's largest locations in Europe, my pre-visit excitement was met with regret. I was placed on the ground floor, next to the bar and Elvis memorabilia. Cool enough, but in a massive restaurant which is over three stories, I felt like the naughty kid sent to the corner. I managed to get a table pretty quickly after arriving, but it should be noted I did have a reservation. I do generally find Hard Rock Cafe's to be a little pricey in general, but the Prague location seemed so expensive, especially compared to the cheap eats that can be found around the city. It felt like a tourist trap, especially given the central location within Malé náměstí / Old Town. I was disappointed with the speed of service for drinks and did have to wait quite a while after sitting down to get the Long Island Ice Tea I ordered, and then the quality of the cocktail also was quite poor, it just tasted so bitter and wasn't up to the usual standard. For my food, I ordered the New York Strip Steak and again was underwhelmed. The vegetables were bland, hard and dry and inedible. I also found the cut of steak to be far too thick, and despite ordering the steak medium, it remained undercooked. As the fries were placed on the plate, they had gone into the juices of the steak and were incredibly soggy. I felt the allergy handling process was much worse at this particular Hard Rock location than at any other location I have visited. Normally, I would receive a flag in my food, marketing the fact it is gluten-free and having a manager come over and chat with me, but despite making the team aware of my allergy, and being given a gluten-free menu, none of this seemed to happen. I stupidly decided to trust them, which was a mistake, and I became sick on the evening of my visit with symptoms similar to what I would expect from digesting or cross-contamination of gluten which had a knock-on effect on my enjoyment on my trip to Czechia. The staff member working in the Shop who served me while I picked up my collectable glass seemed friendly, but apart from that there is so much work to be done. They have not proven to me that they can meet HRC's standards in delivering a safe gluten-free meal, or even any standards of food or beverage quality, with my party as a whole disappointed, so it is with regret I can warrant anything other than a single star for Hard Rock Cafe in Prague. read more

Really enjoyed this Hard Rock location. Went here with my wife, sister and brother in law on our last trip to the Czech Republic. Service was great we had hamburgers and fries. Didn't eat here (I rarely do on vacation) but stopped in and chatted with the friendly staff about the pins which I collect. They explained them all to me and tried to help me decide which I wanted. They had a nice selection and the cute little fella behind the counter said I was pretty and blushed when he forgot to count my change out properly. How adorable. HRC in Prague is the biggest one in the Europe. Three floors plus beautiful gothic cellars are cool place for hanging out with friends, company party or some concert. Also location is perfect, right next to the Old Town square. And I think I don´t have to talk about decoration, everybody knows :-) Service is profesional, smiley, only sometimes not so skilled (doesn´t know the menu perfectly) as it should be but it can be tolerated. But generally speaking very friendly ad that´s what´s important. Meals are pretty delicious. Hamburgers are sort of only very very good (not delicious) but salads are very delicious. The same nachos and desserts. I didn´t try more so far. Oh yes and sandwiches and french fries (home made) are actually delicious too. Bar is well supplied so enjoy whatever you want. They do prety good coctails but you can stay by classical choice like beer (Pilsner). Prices are reasonable. We have to take into accout that we are in middle of the tourist centrum. And generally speaking I think that this place is definitely worth to visit. read more

Coming from Oslo, where Hard Rock is heavily overpriced, and not that great, I was pleasantly surprised. The New York strip steak was perfectly cooked, the dessert was great (hot chocolate fudge brownie) , and they had a great selection of drinks. This is a late review. We took a vacation to Central Europe in May and our first meal was at the Hard Rock. After 25 hours of travelling and ending up in Prague or Praha we arranged for a prepaid prefixed menu which was good for weary travelers who could barely think.It was a good deal and the food was good ol American food and lots of it. Plus we normally share a dessert but the prefix gave us one brownie sundae each! We sat right next to the stage so when the DJ started it was LOUD but I'm old so it's all relative I'm sure. Service was pretty good better than most places in Prague. The gift shop had the usual fare. And all in all it was a good first meal. read more

Seems like where ever I travel I have to hit up the Hard Rock Cafe!! kind of like testing the McDonalds in every country. My daughter and I got a bit hungry after strolling around Old Prague. We saw the HRC and made our way in. We checked out the store first before heading into the restaurant. To my surprise it had 4 floors and the center piece was a guitar chandelier. This is my go to place for a burger in Prague it's priced higher than average but the quality atmosphere and good drinks make up for it. They are very strict with Covid controls which can be annoying but as a tourist spot it's understandable. read more

Hard Rock... Your supposed to know what you will get here, but to be honest the experience can vary greatly from city to city. What should always be good is the helpful/keen service and the really friendly welcome. In the Prague version I am afraid it is a bit lacking. Slow and non-attentive waiting staff who don't live up to the HR mission statement I would imagine. (Door guy was super friendly, but he was the only one) We were just having a snack and went for the mixed platter starter to share. Food was ok , but not spectacular. If only it tasted as good as it looked. (Check out the picture) The major good point..... The location. If you sit outside it is a majorly good spot to people watch and see Prague. Well worth even just having a drink to sit under the heated canopies. Although when we were there the waiters appeared to be fighting over whether to have them on or off. The infamous chain is in Prague, it's the same formula everywhere but you don't change a winning recipe. The restaurant is huge with 4 floors, a bar and a scene on the first one, a bar on the second one and then just seats. It's spacious and you find the usual furniture in a hard rock café which is guitars, posters, etc. of famous rock legends. I always get the local legendary burger to have a taste of the local 'famous ingredients' and the one here is amazing, it had spices and caramelized onions to the burger, a pure bliss. The brownie is good too but be aware it is absolutely huge and you can easily share it between two persons! The staff is very welcoming and advise you well, the pricing is good compared to some other hard rock. read more

I am not the biggest fan of chains but this place is fine to take your friends or family to if you are looking for live music in Prague. The food is fine, but I definitely prefer going to any of the restaurants around where you can actually get real Czech experience and try some of our national dishes. Hard Rock Cafe is a good spot for people afraid of trying something from our cuisine - because here, you can get burgers, sandwiches and anything you are used to from western world... I like their beer selection as they have one of my favorite beers - Hoegaarden and they also have a good cocktails selection but do not expect great and friendly bartender or waitress because I have visited three times (different years) and never got a really nice experience when it comes to customer service, but I guess it is pretty normal in Czech Republic. Here, you cannot expect what you are used to from countries such as United States. read more

Stopping in and checking into Hard Rock Cafes is kind of a joke between me and my husband while we are traveling. We have been to more than we can even count. We usually pop in because they usually have fountain guns for soda, great bathrooms, and stable wifi. That is exactly why we initially popped into this one...grabbed a quick drink and used their wifi. We were pretty impressed with the size of this location and the friendliness of the staff. We ended up agreeing to pop in again the next day for a drink...it was pretty hot out and we needed some air conditioning. The staff was spot on again. We also learned on this visit that this particular Hard Rock is the largest in Europe and that they have won several awards in Prague. We found ourselves in front of the Hard Rock again later than night and the place was jumping. We decided to go in and check it out. I can't tell you how refreshing it was to see a DJ mixing Rock. We are from Chicago where every place plays Top 40 or House. We stayed for a bit and had some drinks. The next morning we had to waste some time before a tour and decided to waste the time in the Hard Rock. This time we also ordered the Margherita Flat Bread. So good!!! So, as embarrassing as it might be for Americans to check out Hard Rock Cafes, I would highly suggest anyone to pop in here for some drinks or later in the evening on the weekends for the DJ. I have complicated feelings writing this review. Firstly, the place itself is fantastic locality, and the staff were really friendly and attentive throughout. However, what brings it down was that my main was pretty sub par and you would expect far more for the money and the renown of the chain. For starts, we shared the bean nachos and the veggie flatbread which were both absolutely delicious. The nachos had tonnes of toppings and the flatbread pesto was just something else. Honestly, no complaints at this point and if you want some sharing platters I recommend. However, my main of the quinoa burger was just so disappointing. The burger was dry and fell apart, and there just wasn't enough in it for any flavour to come through at all. The fries were also over salted but that's probably a personal thing. I ended up leaving the majority of my food which I never normally do! It's not that I don't recommend the Hard Rock Cafe, but I definitely do not recommend the vegetarian burger - there are fajitas so fellow veggies be warned and maybe opt for those instead! read more

I am a huge fan of Hard Rock Cafes and whenever I travel around the world, I look for one to buy a T-Shirt from there. When it comes to the Hard Rock Cafe in Prague, I have to say that it is one of the most stunning Cafes in the world. The location is amazing and so is the building, which has several floors and a great collection of various memorabilia. Shortly after it opened, I was a bit disappointed with the level of service and the food quality and there was a period of time when I wasn't a big fan of it. Now I have to say, however, that it is quite the opposite. The service has improved significantly and the food is truly amazing. I have been here also to a couple of various events and I can say that if you are looking for a place to organize a private or company party, definitely check it out! Our university organized a big reunion party for its alumni in there and it was definitely one of the most amazing parties I have been to. The same goes for the other events I attended. The food is always amazing and so are the cocktails and friendly, professional staff. It is also a great choice for chilled evenings out with friends and definitely anytime when you are about to host a foreign visit. For me, thumbs up! read more

Definitely deserves 4*+ ranking. Customer care was best I've had in Prague, loved the environment (I'm not the biggest fan of rock either), there was a flow of music whichever part of the restaurant you went to. Food was delicious, and full of flavour. Drinks menu was as broad as it was beautiful... Variety of interesting/imaginative beverages (includes non-alcoholic). Around the corner from the Astronomical Clock. The food is good as you'd come to expect from any HR. With several levels, it takes a while to get packed, but it does get packed. It has a small elevator by the bar. The guitar above the bar is worth taking a picture. The Local Legendary is spicy which is rare for Europe. Kids eat free depending on the day and of course they speak English since one of their managers is from the States. Their gift shop is quite large and easy to move around. Have you seen the film "Ice cold in Alex?" If you have then imagine the scene with the lager, but replace with a Magners with ice. Then instead of a desert imagine a man and a woman who are not used to 35 degree heat as they live in Dublin. Then imagine them walking a couple of miles in that heat, gasping for breath, sweat pouring from his bald head, searching for an oasis in the heat. Then see them passing the standard Prague bars, Al Fresco serving lager. They shake there heads in dismay searching searching for the holy grail of a cool drink on a hot day. A Magners with Ice. They see a familiar brand name, Hard Rock Cafe. Surely they think it will be Air Conned, also maybe just maybe they have Magners. They stagger through the door a cold Jet of air breezes over them, instantly bringing relief. They crawl to the bar, a bottle shines from the fridge door a halo of light bringing comfort. Its a Hard Rock, so you pretty much know what you're going to get. Went here the last night of my vacation as it was the closest bar to where I was staying in Prague. I had visited a few other bars in the area, but wanted a place where I knew the drinks would be good - the other places were ok in terms of drink quality. Hard Rock didn't disappoint. Our server Martin was just fantastic and he spoke really fantastic english. Our drinks were really good and even though it was a touristy spot, I didn't find them to be as over priced as other spots. My sister ordered nachos and they were huge. I can't really say anything about quality since I didn't have any but there was enough to share with 3-4 people. Overall good spot if you're in the mood for some apps/cocktails. The only downside is that smoking is still allowed in bars. It has been a long long time since I sat near a smoker at a bar, and it was quite a turn off. read more

Very beautiful building with historic wall decorations. This HardRock Café is very big, about multiple floors. You can sit there in nice groups or on multiple bars. There is a big stage in the ground floor. The big candelabra in figure of a guitar is imposing. You can see it in ground and second floor. The prices for food and drinking there are very okay, so I have paid 55 CZK (about 2 Euro) for a big beer, I think that's cheap. read more

As a local that visited HRC Prague regularly and enjoyed it, I have to say, I was very disappointed after my lunch visit today (April 3rd) - Removed the Haystack Salad from the menu and increased many prices - Caesar Salad is 365Kc - We got up and left. I do not expect HRC to be cheap, but the new menu prices are just too high. Went to another outdoor restaurant on the river with Castle view and had a Caesar for 210Kc. I guess local business is no longer valued at HRC Prague. read more
