The reason for the 3 stars is that from the direction we approached the building, it was unclear where to enter. I saw an open doorway and when I went it, there was an unattended hostess stand. I was about to go back outside to find the shop entrance, but then I noticed that the shop was right there, so I continued in. After making our purchases, we exited what was, apparently, the correct door. I got my shirt, yes, but I was a little disappointed in the amount of gear they had...there wasn't much! I just came in for a drink and my t-shirt. Friendly staff and we were able to see some of the big musicians clothing on displays as well as guitars, etc. Fun to see and wonder where these stars are now. It's pretty standard and only one of the few left all around the world. I was surprise to see one here in Vienna. Yes, plenty of smoking and very noisy. read more

It was a pretty standard Hard Rock Cafe experience, although this one seems a lot smaller than most of the other ones that I've been to. We were sat outside next to a table that was smoking (I know this is probably a lot more common in Europe, but I'm not a huge fan of smoking and am not used to the scent of cigarettes while I'm eating). The waitress was incredibly inattentive and we probably sat for about 10-15m before we had to flag someone down to ask for some help. She finally brought our menus out and we were so starving that we all chose as fast as humanly possible while we were anticipating slow service. I ended up ordering the mac and cheese, which is the same thing I've been ordering at the Hard Rock Cafe since I was a little kid. It tasted about the same as it always does, it's got good flavor but the chicken always seems to be a little dry and a little bland. I was impressed with the flavor profile of the burgers, they had pretty good flavor from what I remember them tasting like. All in all, the food was mediocre and the service was poor. 2 stars without a doubt. read more

This Hard Rock was SO not easy to find - the shop is also pretty small. I basically only come to collect the pins and then skip out because I want to eat local food when I travel. The guy behind the counter was polite and friendly and explained the pins to me while I chose the one I wanted. No issues but geez - it was not easy to find this when we were trying to walk to it. read more

I've had the privilege of visiting the Hard Rock Cafe Vienna three times already since it opened a few weeks ago. Privilege because it is really difficult to get a table there. I LOVE that it is ALL non-smoking!!!!!! Thank you American culture! I've had the veggie burger twice and the nachos once. The veggie burger was great once and ok the second time. The second time the soy patty was hard. The nachos were fantastic but if you think of eating them as an appetizer you better are a group of five or more. Service is fast and very 'American' aka super friendly and super fast, which I love. However, I can imagine that it would take some Viennese getting used to the friendly staff. Occasionally, the staff slips back into their own Viennese-service-demanor (snapping) but they quickly pull themselves back. American training was well executed. :) If you are looking for a healthy meal this is not the place to go. If you want some greasy fast food on a diner level, this definitely IS the place for you. And you can eat your burgers American style without getting funny looks - with your hands! read more

Our bartender Orsi made our visit exceptional! So helpful and friendly. She gave us great ideas for our visit here in Vienna as well as our day trip to Budapest, her home country of Hungary . The food and drink were good also but that is to be expected from Hard Rock Cafe. Our guy in the rock shop, Michaele, was also friendly and helpful. It's so nice to be a tourist from a foreign country and be treated nicely and people are actually glad you are visiting their country. read more

Very busy as to be expected definitely worth booking beforehand online very easy process. Service and food very good as per usual from our experience from hard rocks across the world. We had hamburger and chicken burger both very tasty and the nachos to start were also good and massive! A little on the pricey side but this is normal for hard rocks anywhere. read more

$19 I was charged for a jack and coke. I never write reviews but this time I feel like I should warn people so they dont get robbed also. ill start off by saying that I travel a lot and ive been to hard rock cafes in major cities such as New York, Boston and Las Vegas and I have never in my life been charged $19 for a simple jack and coke. I brought this to the managers attention hoping she would make it right and all she could tell me was that its a common complaint and the locals avoid this place because of it. she did NOTHING to resolve it and obviously did not care at all. I would like to think that I am pretty good at spotting tourist traps but I got to admit that I walked out of there feeling like a complete sucker. I hope you do what the locals do and avoid this place so it doesn't ruin your experience in Vienna. read more

We had a great meal here on our second night in Vienna. From the outset service was very quick. Tom showed us up to our table and took orders for drinks, and off to work he went. Once our food was delivered to the table the waitress gave me a little stroke on the shoulder. My other half and I shared a glance to express a "That was a little odd" face. I can't remember if even anyone in our trip to America, capital of customer service, stroked me as they delivered my food. Nevertheless, the food was good, and Tom came by to check it was all okay. Service only seemed to slow up a bit when we'd finished our food. Tom took our plates away, we said no thanks to any coffees or desserts (planning on ice cream down the road), and off he went. Better service than in most Hard Rock Cafés I've been too. Also great service while helping you choose your food. Huge drink menu with a lot of alcoholic and anti-alcoholic drinks. Full bar with fascinating cocktails (although a bit more expensive than the cocktails you can get in the bars around the location). The good: the burger was good ( original legendary) The bad: had to wait 5 min downstairs, even though half the tables were empty and not reserved ( it was Monday midday, and all these remained empty during our stay) The nachos (starter) were lukewarm at best, so the cheese was already hard..... The staff was slow ( 10 min for a cocktail, even as the cafe wasn't even half full) I asked for extra (I asked for several) wet wipes after the finger food and got 1(!) I thought that the hard rock cafe was supposed to be amazing with service, food and the ambiance but i was definitely wrong. We had a reservation at 18:00 but waited 30min to get in and then waited 30min to get our food served. Our server was horrible she got every order wrong and the taste was also not good I mean it was alright but nothing special. We also had ice cream for dessert but instead of getting it served another waiter has thrown our ice cream towards us and that is absolutely unacceptable.
