If I could give less stars I would. I hired them to do our driveway. After 6 months the driveway was cracking and crumbling. They said they would come out and fix it. They eventually came out and did a deal coat, which didn't fix anything. For over 2 years now they keep saying they will come out to fix, but they never have. Here are a few other things to consider: 1. The son kept saying that I should work with him because he will make it right. He has been telling me for 2 years that he would come, but he's been "too busy" to come out. 2. When they seal coated the driveway as a way to try and fix it, they splattered tar all over the side of the house and garage door. He said he would fix it but, as expected, he never did. 3. The company will respond to your reviews with "please call us to fix it", but they never will. 4. The son will text you after you post a negative review and he will actually make it sound like he's doing you a favor. Last text I got from him said "I'll fix it just to get you out of my hair". Still didn't fix it. 5. They lie about the work they do. They were supposed to remove the old base layer, and lay down a new layer of gravel. I literally watched them and he never did it. He even told me that the gravel below was in great shape and it wasn't needed. Clearly when you look at the pictures you will see that this looks like a 20 year old driveway, but it's less than 3 years old. At this point, I can't trust you to do the work and honor your warranty. If you are serious about your customers, you can pay another company to fix it and do it right. read more

Joseph and his crew did a great job replacing my driveway. It took a little while for them to make it out here, but when they did, they were in and out in 2 days. I requested a couple of changes during the process, and they handled it with flying colors. They added an additional parking spot, replaced my culvert, and graded the driveway away from my house, and we haven't had any issues with water. Thank you, Hard Top Paving!! read more

We Had Hard top Paving do our driveway last fall, we have had some issues with it and called to have them come take a look. the wife answered on the first time and said they would call us back when they started again for the spring. we waited a month and had yet to hear from them, we have since contacted them with four voicemails and an email with yet to hear back from them. they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I DO NOT recommend them as they say they a life time warranty on their work but they will not respond when you have issues with their shotty work. If they answered maybe we wouldn't have to leave a bad review. read more

Do NOT hire this company, or lack there of. Peter (the owner) is extremely unprofessional, and quite frankly has no business doing this work. I started with a crumbling asphalt driveway in very poor shape. The new asphalt that was installed has very bad, extremely noticeable seams, and several low spots, where I am left with giant puddles every single time that it rains. Completely uneven, and the ground was not leveled underneath. I have been trying to get this repaired or replaced for more than 6 months with nothing more than "we will get to it soon", "won't be long now". I may be forced to take legal action. Do not use this contractor, I cannot stress this enough. The price was low, and there is a reason for it. read more

I have been waiting for approximately 2 years for this contractor to honor their contract and settlement agreement through the Better Business Bureau. The contractor completed the work in a poor manner. Disappeared until I filled a complaint with the BBB. Once the BBB got involved, they agreed to repair the job 100%. Still today, they have bot returned. If you are looking to be stolen from and lied to, I would highly recommend this company. If you are seeking a reliable vendor who is honest and keeps their work, I would look elsewhere. read more

We contacted at least 8 paving companies and only received 2 responses. When we saw Hard Top Paving's truck on a job near our house. We called and he came right over, gave us a terrific price and did it the next day. We are so happy the other companies didn't answer. Which was considerably less than half (almost a third the price) of the other three companies that quoted the job. They were great to work with! Very considerate and kind while on the job. 5 out of 5! A+ Excellent. This is a Father-Son business from Canton MI who pay attention to detail from beginning (site visit-estimate to end-paving). Hard Top Paving has competence, integrity and value. hard to find and greatly appreciated. instead of doing a repair which would last the recommendation to remove old road 2" surface and replace was approved by Hidden Creek HOA due to Hard Top Paving value. HTP replaced a 220,000ft2 road properly. they used pick axes along curb edges without destroying concrete curbs. they laid asphalt with the proper grade to drain water to the cement curb gutters with proper slope and height to avoid snow plow damage. driveway crack fill sealing and driveway seal coating exceeded expectations. the color match to asphalt road is excellent but more importantly the roads are new, safe to walk and drive on which will last many years. if you want to deal with a company who has straight shooters, pays attention to detail, demonstrates competency and integrity then give Hard Top Paving a call. What a wonderful experience! Our house had the worst driveway in our subdivision - hands down. The subdivision streets were being replaced and Hard Top followed behind the company that was doing the roads and approached us about our driveway. We were not planning on replacing it at the time but the price was too good to pass up. They did a great job!
