The GKH team, Gary and Damien, just completed a restoration of our 75-year-old Heywood Wakefield…read moreMCM dining table and chairs. Their work was simply excellent. Not just finishes but structure has been made like new. This is a family heirloom, and we feel we will have the ability to hand this beautiful set down for generations to come. If you have something you care about, trust GKH to do the work well. They estimated the time it would require to complete the work and quoted us the exact price. They finished in half the estimated time for the price they quoted. We could not be more pleased that we made the decision to work with them!

For years I've wanted to restore my antique bookcases. They are over one hundred years old, and as…read morea writer I treasure a good place to keep my collection of good books. I was apprehensive with who might be able to do justice and not ruin them. I took a shot with GKH furniture repair and restoration. I'd seen the reviews, and I now can say the reviews weren't exaggerated. When I first called Greg last November he was honest about the time fragment it would take. I unfortunately called during the holidays, which was not good. I later called in March, amd he told me then, sort of leveling with me that this sort of work takes time, like 4-6 months. It wasn't a bad wait and I was patient. The saying goes, "all good things come to those who wait," and it's true if you want a master to handle your antiques. I've sanded, stained wood before, and it's no easy task. It's a time-consuming endeavor, and I also didn't trust myself restoring antique bookcases. In retrospect the price was reasonable for the result. I now have an admirable place to keep my Ulysses, and restored bookcases my ancestors would be proud of.

Brad was very professional and responded quickly to us each time we reached out with questions. He let us know they were about 6-12 weeks out with work and he finished the chairs in that time frame. The chairs look great! The price was fair for the work that needed to be done. We highly recommend Vintage Source for your upholstery and restoration.

The customer service was exceptional. I paid a 50% deposit to get on their schedule, I knew they were about 6 weeks out when I did that. I went there and selected vinyl, Brad let me know when they'd be ready to start on them. We took the stools to them about a week ago, Brad delivered them to me tonight. They look better now, than they did when I bought them. The workmanship is pristine. I am beyond impressed with the entire transaction. I try and support local owned businesses whenever I can. Vintage Source earned and deserves that support. Walking through the show room was a bonus, a trip down memory lane. If you're looking vintage, don't miss going there. If you need anything regardless of the style recovered, you'd remiss not to give them a chance to quote your job. My stools are contemporary round seats with low curved backs - they are perfect now!

After recently moving to Kansas City with my family, I filed a claim with my moving company and…read morethey had sent Home Team Solutions to do some repairs to the damaged furniture and review the other damages during the move. First off they are unable to actually repair anything that exceeds a touch up with a paint pen.. A gouge,or a crack in furniture is basically poorly filled and then painted over. I would highly recommend NOT letting this company attempt to repair or assess your damages or you will be highly unsatisfied with the end result as me and my family are...

Hired this company to install crown moulding and wainscoting in April of 2017. The crown moulding…read morewas installed in multiple pieces with numerous joints at various lengths --several pieces of crown are six to eight inches long cut at a 90 degree angel instead of a 45 degree angel which is more forgiving as the house settles and so forth. In addition to the smaller pieces, the owner himself stated the wood came in 20 foot pieces and would not fit in the transport vehicle thus cut each piece into 10 foot pieces further creating the need for multiple unnecessary joints in the crown moulding. The crown was caulked with clear caulk and while many of the joints were not caulked at all, most of the caulk was smeared around and still shows finger prints. The paint used on both the crown moulding and wainscoting was not wood grade paint nor was it applied thoroughly. After expressing concern and being strung along with promises to repair it, in September of 2017 Home Team Solutions offered to refund me 15% of what I paid and leave me with additional expenses to have it removed and replaced. Note, at the end of the job Home Team Solutions requested additional payment above what was agreed upon, AND I had to hire a third party to repair the poor paint job on the wainscoting which was not refunded. If only I could post pictures, this company's craftsmanship would speak for itself. Additionally, the crown moulding was always included in the original scope of the work requested; however, the third party was NOT agreed upon and happened to be the owner's father-in-law needing extra work. After making myself available and opening my home to three different companies on multiple occasions to bid the repair work, the crown moulding is still in it's original shape with one small section replaced but not painted. Based on Home Team Solutions feedback below, unfortunately Home Team Solutions believes it's efforts to repair the crown moulding were adequate. It's important to note, a refund has not been received to date and Home Team Solutions no longer accepts my phone calls or responds to emails. Lastly be warned, this company is not registered with the BBB.
