He also offices in Stillwater certain days of the week. Ryan is professional and well educated about the body. He has a calming presence and his goal is always to make your body feel better. Clinical massages are more of a holistic way of treating pain, tightness, etc (in my opinion). He also provides "regular" massages as well. With clinical massages he uses techniques like cupping, the amethyst mat, and other techniques like movements that would be used in physical therapy. He also finds spots on my body that I didn't realize were causing pain or were stiff. He always gets my back in working order and that's always my main objective. He's AWESOME! I also paid an additional fee to use the sauna afterwards. I love that extra feature. And hopefully one day in the future I'd love to try out Heather for some acupuncture.

She talked me through everything she was doing and explained why she was doing it. She's obviously very knowledgeable and has gone through extensive training in oriental medicine. I went back for another session and she did more to enhance the treatment. Not only did she do basic acupuncture (with more needles this time, because I knew what to expect this time around), she also did cupping on me with no extra charge for the appointment. She's really about 'home care' and made sure to send me home with tinctures, probiotics and suggestions of things I could do myself to lead a healthier lifestyle. All in all both times were a great experience, and while right now going regularly for me isn't a necessity, I will definitely be back in the future. I try to get over it on my own for a few days and stretch it out. Usually this just results in me extending the time my back's aching for. After trying to tough it out I always call and make an appointment with Katherine. If the pain is really bad it might take a couple visits, but the moment the needles start going in I feel relief. When I've gone to the doctor for illnesses, they'll usually recommend some type or another of pharmaceutical and tell me, try this and see if it doesn't work. When I see Katherine she does pulse testing of her hand crafted herbal medicines to find out which medicine I need before I even leave the office. No guessing and hoping that there won't be side effects, just the plant medicines I need to get me up and going. Since I found out how fast she can help my back heal, I've gone to her for dozens of different health issues from cold and flu to stomach aches. I've even gone in for an acupuncture treatment to help me get over a broken heart after a break-up. No matter what ails me, Katherine helps me get back on the healing track. Since I was back in town, my athlete boyfriend popped his rib out of place. When I called to make an appointment , the soonest they had was 4:30PM the next day. Of course, I understand that time slots fill up. So I made the appointment, and I asked the receptionist if they took Medicare. She assured me that they did. So, we drive down the next day, and appear for his appointment. The receptionist seemed confused. When I handed her the Medicare card, she stated, "We don't accept Medicare." I was dumbfounded, as she just told me they did the day before! I explained this to her, and she stated, "Well, as of last night we do not accept it." Now, as a business, if there was such a severe change in insurance policy coverage, I would expect them to call their clients, at least for the next day, and let them know about this change. Needless to say we were extremely irritated, and left. I ended up making an appointment for my boyfriend at a Chiropractic Clinic in Woodbury. Better Service, and they accept Medicare. Hopefully Afton Chiropractic gets it together.

Sirona Spring is a Hidden Gem!…read more I've lived in North Hudson, two streets over from Sirona Spring, for seven years. I drive past it regularly, but I just discovered Julie's place. I suppose this goes to show: when the Student is ready, the Teacher will appear. I was seeking relief from [minor] physical pain. What I found: Rejuvenation of my belief in a Higher Power (which is Positive Energy), Reassurance that synchronizing my mind & body is the key to healing anything that needs healing, and Informed Directive on how I can utilize centuries-old holistic practices to reduce dependence on Western medicine (which is presently failing my family & I).
