Realizing that my 80-foot + tall black cherry tree was dying, and as I was concerned that it might…read morefall onto my house, I contacted Alpine Tree Experts, and asked them to come, look and give me an estimate of the cost to remove the tree. The owner, Bill Morales, arrived at my house the next day and gave me a quote that I knew from past tree removals (I have had to remove about 6 tall trees from my property in the 20 years I have lived here) was a reasonable estimate. Last Thursday, the Alpine Tree crew arrived at 8:30 am, and promptly began their work. I was very impressed that they first laid large mats across my lawn where the crane truck was going to drive over. Once the crane was in position, a crew member (think "lumberjack") was hoisted by the crane to near the top of the tree. He methodically used a chain saw to cut off approximately 12-foot sections of the tree, which the crane laid on the ground just behind the chipper machine. Other crew members fed the medium-size limbs and small branches into a huge chipper, which quickly turned the tree into wood chips. At my request, the larger tree trunks were carefully set aside to be chopped up later for firewood (although Bill assured me that his huge chipper could handle the big trunks as well). By 11:30 am, the Alpine Tree crew was packed up and heading down the road. I could not believe that they had accomplished so much in so little time, even with them being very careful and methodical throughout the process. I highly recommend Alpine Tree Experts. They are true professionals who care about their work.

I called 4 other companies and only one of those showed up along with American Tree Service. I explained what I wanted and I got bids from both. American Tree service came in at $200 below the other bid. It took a bit but they came out today and removed the massive limb safely. They quickly dispatched all of the limbs into tiny chips. They also trimmed off everything I requested. They also cleaned up all the mess including the all the tiny branches, raked and used a blower to clean off all of the saw dust. Every time we've needed tree work, we've gathered multiple quotes--and Cleartree has always been the most affordable or very close to it. But what truly sets them apart is their professionalism, efficiency, and care for the property. This time around, we had some routine yard maintenance and one large pine tree removed due to excessive moisture damage. Their quote was very reasonable, and they got us scheduled within just a couple of weeks. From start to finish, communication was excellent. I received a confirmation text the day before, along with helpful instructions for prepping the area (moving vehicles, etc.). Their crew showed up early--trucks were waiting by 7:50 AM for an 8:00 start--and right on time, the foreman knocked on the door, walked through the plan, and confirmed all the details before getting started. By 8:10 AM, they were working on the 40-50 ft tree, and by 8:40, it was safely down--without so much as a branch touching anything else. Shortly after, they ground the stump and leveled the area so well that if it weren't for the fresh soil, you'd never know a tree had been there. There was a misunderstanding on the day the crew came out to do my work. I expressed my concern about expectations being met and I was SHOCKED at the level of service I rec'd from the crew leader and owner. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure my satisfaction!!!!!
