Planning a bridal shower from out of state could have been stressful, but Brent made it an absolute joy. From the very beginning, Brent was attentive, communicative, and incredibly accommodating. He went above and beyond during the planning phase and was equally amazing during the actual event. His calm presence and willingness to help with anything we needed made the day flow beautifully. Stopped in this afternoon for a quick tasting. The woman working here was honest and knew what she was talking about with the wines. Gave great advice on everything. I did a quick tasting because I just wanted to grab a bottle for a later date. So we went outside on the beautiful fall day, that has a nice view of the vineyard and foliage. I don't really like red wines on the east coast, the whites are usually my favorite, even though I am a red wine lover. They do have flights as well if desert wines, they sell some food and also have their own brandy and gin. If I had more time I would have had more but we had places to be. So I bought a bottle of the vintage Vidal blanc. It was very tasty and my personal favorite. Nice place to come with groups, also they were setting up a live band for the day. This wasn't our first visit to Harford, but surprisingly this is my first time reviewing. We love Harford Wine. Normally we had the opportunity to stock up on bottles during MD Wine Festival season, but with all the festivals canceled we had to drive out to the winery to re-stock. The winery is admittedly just average- there wasn't a lot scenery-wise to view and the outdoor seating was just open picnic tables-no shade-so we opted to sit inside. A decent set-up, very reminiscent of 'church cellar' parties, there were tables spread out with some wine-based décor and nice ambiance lighting. We decided to just 'go-for-it' and join their wine club while re-stocking; free to join there is a commitment to buy 3 bottles of wine quarterly (typically at release events), with perks of 15% off buying the bottles and obtaining half-priced tastings (normally 6 pours for $7). Knowing their wines, we easily selected our tasting choices-though staff was very friendly in terms of providing insights on the wine (they assumed we were new to the winery and we let them run through their overview to be nice). We drank through our small 1oz pours, then selected our wine club bottles. (They have three pre-selected wines as the 'quarterly pick-up' but allowed us to change out 2 of the 3. Happy to be wine club members, we are hoping to do our next bottle pick up during one of their events or music in the vineyard days to experience more of what the winery may have to offer. p.s they do offer some liquor options, as well as the ability to add on a cheese & cracker pairing, and they have a cute little wine decor store. read more

Today was not my first trip to the winery, but the first as part of a "brew tour, van group of moms, for Mother's Day visiting wineries: see harford brew tours review!) Harford was our second stop and when we arrived we were greeted with complete and clear direction of what to do. Grab a pencil and paper, note our choices, return and pay, and the samples came to us within just a few minutes! Our group of 16 had time to chat and compare and savor our samples due to the efficient set up and ample number of workers available. The garlic and chive cheese was wonderful, and the wine options were plentiful (17 w/3spirit options). You could choose any samples on the list. Everyone's taste is different so my fav might not be yours. Not a fan of the traminette or the lemoncello, the other samples were fair to middling. Ambience is nice: in the corner was a lone guitar player/singer, and they have a small room to but "wine Knick knacks and t-shirts" The staff was very pleasant and aided in keeping the table clear. They let our host bring in pizza (no food truck on-site this go round), but that also offer cheese and crackers and small snacks for purchase I'd been there before for music outside. Today was a rainy day. But pleasant inside. Regular chairs and high tops. Very laidback and down home. read more

The owners are so nice and such hard workers. You can tell it's their work of love. The space is great. So nicely decorated. Loved the live music today. Wine is good. Really loved the Halloween special- little chocolate cups that come with your flight. They have cheese and salami you can purchase there too. We came here a few Saturdays ago and we got there the same time as a wine tour group did so the owners were nice enough to give our tasting separate. The owner was very knowledgable. They have a great homemade wine business so they told us a lot about where the grapes come from. No snacks but some crackers ($1) to taste between tastings. $5 for the tasting and included a nice small glass. I didn't buy due to the sweetness but well worth the trip!! read more

The winery was pretty good, but I was hoping for more. The scenery outside was pretty plain. I think they had three picnic tables. The inside had plenty of tables and seating. The tasting bar was 3 folding tables, which we sat around. The staff was extremely pleasant and engaged us in conversation. The wines themselves were fine. Very chill winery. Inside area is decent size with large TV and high top tables and chairs. Outside shaded area is small at the entrance. Few more tables outside but directly in the sun so probably not very useful unless on a pleasant not so hot day. 6 wines for $7 tasting. Wish they would charge a little more for larger pours. Used to California tastings where you actually feel like you got some wine rather than a few drops. Their peach slushee was awesome. I would highly recommend adding whisky or wine to that and trying it. I am also trying their cheese and crackers option next time. My significant other and I were here today using a Groupon we had purchased. Our tasting included two artisan-decorated wine glasses, wine tasting, and an artisan, local chocolate bar. We were impressed with the level of knowledge by the staff. It was a little empty when we came in for our tasting--but apparently there was an afternoon Ravens game that thinned the crowd out. We tasted twelve wines, and each one had a great story and suggested pairings to go with it. The chocolate bar was lovely, and had a great story about how it was made with cocoa beans that had previously been thought to be extinct. We enjoyed that we were offered extra tastings of some of the wines that were similar. The wines themselves were quite nice-and we ended up purchasing a case. We were given a glass of mulled wine at the end of our tasting, and enjoyed some of the live music in the seating area. A local restaurant had cheese and cracker plates and soups, but we didn't partake in those. There was a separate area with local wine-themed crafts. The tasting room, tent with seating, and craft areas were all nicely decorated for the holidays and created a nice ambiance. Overall, a great experience--would recommend to anyone looking for a very nice, very low-key wine tasting experience. read more

Harford winery is a nice little winery The place looked pretty new they served of a pretty wide assortments wines the whites we really good, the dry reds are far above average for a Maryland Winery especially their dry blend "crimson moon" which really stacks up well against wine from any region. They also have an assortment of the Maryland style sweet wines which you see at almost every winery in Maryland. They are not really my thing but plenty good if you like that type of wine especially the peach one. The tasting room itself was pretty small and didn't have to much in the way of outside seating to enjoy a bottle, and didn't seem to offer any cheeses or crackers to go with the wine. They staff was really friendly and very knowledgeable about the wines and their wine making processes. They also sold wine making supplies and juice to make your own. Definitely worth a stop if you're on the Piedmont wine trail. Also its really convenient if your anywhere around the Bel Air area read more

Attended the grand opening of their new tasting room and it is beautiful. Stone fireplace and really really big inside. The place was packed for this event, but the crowd was very friendly and they had live music throughout the evening. Of course the wines are the stars. I honestly liked every one I tried. They have many sweet varieties and although I'v never liked any Chardonnay, I really enjoyed theirs! (Surprised) The owners are very friendly and Kevin knows a TON about wines. It's enjoyable to just listen to him tell about the grapes and the process. All I know is that it works and the wines were awesome. read more

I've been buying fresh grapes and juice buckets from Harford for a few years now. Their service is excellent and the quality of grapes they get in is very good. I've made some wonderful wines with them. I've also taken advantage of being there and done tastings a few times. Their wines are quite good. I'm in love with their Traminette. Bottom line: their wines, grapes and juices are excellent and their service is top notch. I'm looking forward to getting back up there later this spring to pick up my Chilean grapes and get some more of their wine. read more

I ordered almost half ton of grape from them to make my own wine. The owner failed to notify me in time to pick up my grape so my grape is sitting in their place for more than a week to get rotten. I do not think they appreciate my business and probably I will not do any business with them again read more

I recently purchased a Groupon to the Harford Winery for a wine tasting for four people and used it a few days ago. I went with my parents and fiancee and upon arrival to the winery, we were greeted by a nice scenic view and an intern that was very friendly. Our Groupon also included four wine glasses that we received immediately and they were very nice with a nice grape design on them. We did have to wait a little while for our tasting because a previous tasting was going on, but this was not a problem because the intern was telling us about the winery and we were able to look around the shop. When our wine tasting started, we were greeted by the lady who gave us the tasting. The lady was very knowledgeable and was able to give us lots of good information about every wine we tasted. As for the wine, I'm not a big wine guy, but I very much enjoyed the wines that we sampled and we ended purchasing quite a few bottle to bring home. I would recommend the sweeter wines, but that's because I prefer sweeter to dry wines. Overall, I liked the Harford Vineyard and Winery and would recommend people to try it out if they're wine people or just looking to do something fun and different for an hour or two. Also, the Winery was very easy to find and about 20 minutes off of Route 95. read more
