Mothers Day (Saturday) wine tour, visited 3 wineries, this was the first As we know, everyone's palette is different so you may not care for my recommendations, and vice versa. But I enjoyed the Scarlett and the Dragonberry wines. I learned I'm not a fan of moonshine, but I could tolerate the limoncello spirit Of the 3 wineries we visited I believe they had the largest of varieties to sample ($10 for 7wines and $5 for 4spirits) and there were 21wine options and 15 spirits to choose from) The ones I chose were more pleasing than the ones I chose at the other places TWas a rainy day, so we didn't venture outside but there is a deck (partially covered) to enjoy the peace and solitude of the area Two restrooms, plenty of seating, tastings are 1. Chosen by you on a slip of paper, 2. Presented to the pourer, who (during our visit) 3. Calls your name when your samples have been prepared and 4. You go up to get it Unfortunately they were Iill prepared for our group of ~16 ladies. We were there for over an hour and a couple of ladies didn't get their samples until 3-4minutes before we were to leave. I do not recommend ONE pourer of 7-11 drinks each, for 16 people. The math/timing just doesn't work, and we were left mostly talking to each other while we waited 30-45min or more for our samples The idea is to sample and chat at the same time, not gulp to leave in time. Fortunately Harford Brew Tour didn't actually force us to gulp...to meet any departure deadline, so we had time to savor -compare-chat It's not a fancy place, no cushiony seats nor dark oak bar nor sommelier to explain the wines, however: each wine in the list does have the flavor expectations/ingredients. And the pourers draw arrows and numbers on paper plates to help guide you on your choices. Very family-down-home vibe. There was an adjacent room (closed) that would allow for more people, and probably a private party. Our party had to wait for our samples, I felt sorry for the few people who trailed in behind us. There is a basket of small snacks you can purchase along with cheese. But they also allowed (or at least our party) to bring in snacks if your own 3stars , because it took an hour to get samples. This wasn't our first visit to Fiore, but surprisingly this is my first time reviewing. We love the Fiore wine & winery. Normally we had the opportunity to stock up on bottles during MD Wine Festival season, but with all the festivals canceled we had to drive out to the winery to re-stock. The winery is gorgeous-they have a beautiful home-villa type building in which you can sit indoors in a nice wide open dining hall type atmosphere with homey furniture, outside on a variety of shaded tables, or out on their patio again with shaded or open table options. They offer tastings of both wine and distilled liquors ($5 for 5 wines or $5 for 4 liquors)-and both selections have a plethora of choices to appeal to anyone's taste buds. Knowing their wines, we just selected a bottle to open, then went to spend time on the patio-relaxing enjoying the day and view. (They allow you to bring dogs and your own food, so it's very easy to make a beautiful picnic day adventure.) We stocked up on a number of favorite wines to-go, my only woe- they don't have a great wine club member perk-just a case club. I definitely recommend a visit! read more

We went on a Monday because most others are closed. Glad we did because it's a quaint winery with a homey feel & beautiful views. The wines are good, not great mostly Italian style. The MD whiskey is quite good/excellent. Recommend a visit for sure! read more

Very chill place. People are super nice. Even the guests that were visiting were friendly. $5 for 5 wines and $5 for 4 liquor testing. It was very pleasant day so we sat outside on the patio tables with umbrellas watching the Eagles soar over. Little buggy though and wish they would charge a little more for larger pours. Used to California tastings where you actually feel like you got some wine rather than a few drops. Next time we may bring our dogs too and make it a picnic. read more

Friendly and welcoming staff. Relaxing setting with outdoor seating overlooking the vineyard. Super dog friendly but call ahead as a courtesy heads up. Highly recommend getting a bottle to drink on-site while enjoying the view. read more

We stopped in for a tasting this past weekend. The lady behind the counter could not have been ANY nicer. We loved most of the wines that we tried. They also have a distillery now, which is awesome. Maybe next time I'll try all of that because it all looked amazing!! We will absolutely be back. read more

Having this family-run vineyard nearby is a treat. We frequented the Father's Day event for many years (Chili Cookoff). But they also do many fun events, such as the Wine, Art & Jazz Festival and the Martha Lewis Skipjack Cruise. One wine which we particularly enjoy is the Pinot Grigio (2008 vintage, if you can get it). read more

Great visit! We drove by on our way to Rocks State Park, so as we were done hiking and leaving the park, we randomly decided to stop by. The biggest bonus for us was that the winery is VERY dog friendly, as we had our dog with us. They were very welcoming and b/c no one objected and Kea was well behaved, we were able to bring our dog into the tasting room with us! The wines were good, you get 6 samples for $5. Such a deal. They also have moonshine you can taste, 3 samples for $5. And Limoncello as well. We ended up buying a few, and taking one outside with our free wine glasses to sit and drink. The winery also told us that Kea could run through the vines if we were comfortable with that. Such a welcoming place with lovely scenery and good wine! read more

Loved the location. This was part of a day of exploring the Maryland Wine Trail (Piedmont) and we were thoroughly impressed. The wine was wonderful. This particular winery also has a distillery license and makes their own grappa and limoncello. Make sure you take advantage as it is worth it. Additionally they make Prosecco. Again wonderful. The people were friendly and knowledgeable. The prices were great. Go local. read more

We had an awesome experience visiting Fiore yesterday with a group of five ladies for my bachelorette party. Fiore was so accommodating to our group and really went out of their way to make the experience special. Fiore is a hidden gem and I would highly recommend going there! My friends and I stopped here as part of a Maryland wine trail event. Their sweet wines and port wines are good. Their dry wines, less so. I bought a bottle of the kiwi pear sauvignon blanc and the pomegranate zinfandel. While I didn't buy a bottle of the rosina, I thought that was a good chocolate port. The sparkling prosecco was also nice. Their wines are reasonably priced. They also have a distillery on the premises, and they make and sell grappa and limoncello. I tried the oak-aged grappa and the limoncello, and thought they were both good. The staff was nice, but a little disorganized. That might have been due to the fact that we were there on a weekend during a wine trail event, however. We also heard that we happened to arrive just after a lot of other people, so they were a little overwhelmed by the sudden rush of people. read more

This was a wonderful experience! We came here last minute for a bachelorette party and the winery stayed open and did a free and private tasting for us! They are great people and had amazing wines for us to try. We also got to sample some of the stronger stuff! I would highly recommend visiting if you are doing a wine trail in MD anytime soon! read more

Just had my daughter's wedding there this weekend. Not impressed at all! Some staff nice, others very snobby and not helpful. Sold the venue to us bragging of lush plants and wonderful setting. The plants in window sills were dead, tacky plastic terracotta pots with dead plants at the front door. Rented both rooms they offer, pushed into the second room that they didn't tell us had no a/c. It was a warm day, over 80 degrees, offered no fans or solution to my guests and wedding favors melting! Discovered this the day before at set up, but still had no solution or even effort to help us keep them cool when guests arrived the next day. Had to bring our own fans! Also, no access to refrigeration or water (other than bathroom sink), very hard for catered food! We had over 75 guests, given 1 trash can that we had to keep asking to empty and finally ended up getting a roll of trash bags given to us!!!!! Had to clean everything ourselves, moved some of their tacky décor for our decorations and when we cleaning up wanted to know where everything was like we were trying to steal something! The venue was paid for weeks before the event, with a mutual agreement that the on the house wine was to be paid for at the end of the evening depending on what was used. With that said, as soon as I arrived at the venue the day of the wedding I was told that the wine was not paid for yet???? Rude, unfriendly and unhelpful! Would not recommend for a Wedding or function, especially in the Summer. I feel very sorry for anyone having one in the heat of the year, ours was May and it was awful! They may have nice wine and wine tasting events, but should not be a Wedding venue or charge so much for two rooms and some tables and chairs because that's all we got for our money! read more
