I think the draw to theater is different for many people. For me, the draw to Harlequin is the quality of the shows and the clear effort put into keeping an arts community alive in a small town like Olympia. There's just something nice about going to the local theater that I drive by each day, rather than schlepping up to Tacoma or Seattle for a show that's just passing through. Just my two cents, but if you're in town, definitely hit up a show (plus the Governor Hotel usually has 2-for-1 tickets if you stay there!)

Two tickets to date night :)

The story structure is unique: the actress tells the story from the end of the relationship, the actor from the beginning.

Because of the curve of the theater, it is difficult to see the entire stage if you're seated on the sides, of course. But I don't think we missed much. The theater even had fake snow falling on patrons as we entered. Cool touch

Loved hearing how the children in the audience knew the song lyrics verbatim and the energy in the room was exciting. Even mom, who has seen the movie but doesn't know the music, had a fun time riding that vibe. They also had two concession stands, both selling the same stuff, but for some reason people were in line at the one on the left when you enter the bulding instead of going to the one near the stairways. They have free coffee and sell wine, beer, and snacks. I tried the each cider in a traveler sippy cup that you can purchase for $6 which helped me to sneak it in to the theater, lol. The volunteers are all nice and really try to be helpful. It was rough finding parking because the Art Walk was happening at the same time, but we managed. Can we please have more sing alongs? I'll come for all of them.

I did like that the seats were all at an angle where there was no one blocking your line of sight. We sat up in the higher seats toward the back so it was definitely no one blocking our vision. I will say that I was expecting more at the pageant. I don't know if it was due to the people who put on the pageant or if the performing arts center helped them put on the show, but it was very basic. Maybe the background and general set up was basic, as not to detract focus from the lovely ladies parading around the stage with the hopes of winning. I will say that everything looks new and clean and it doesn't give off that old high school auditorium feel. The rest of the center is very nice. The bathrooms are reasonable and there is some cool sculptures hanging overhead in the lobby. I still prefer the size of the auditorium and stage at other venues like the Washington Center for Performing Arts or the Pantages Theater, but this one works for this campus.

Hundreds of people....cars lined up all the way out the parking lot ... From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the perfect stage for some deliciously creepy fun. It was a mix of laughter and gasps as our party navigated the unexpected twists and turns. Whether you're a horror junkie or just looking to spice up your night out, "Morbid Mind" delivers thrills and chills with a side of humor. WE HAD AN AMAZING TIME !!!

It WAS NOT scary there were CHILDREN IN LINE, three 8yr olds were behind us. The animatronic were giving discounted spirit Halloween. My partner had done a ruck HOURS before going (18miles with 25+ pounds on this chest under 4hrs) he was tired sore and his ankle was alittle sad but he was a trooper and stood in line for OVER AN HOUR no complaints. The haunted house makes you walk in a single file line. The walk ways are very narrow and they give you REUSED flimsy glasses to alter your vision. Going into the haunted house it's dark but the ground is FLAT, midway the ground goes to an incline and then declines and that happens over and over again then it suddenly SLANTS OVER AND OVER AGAIN that is the reason my husband limped out of the haunted house. My husband is 6ft and i am 5ft we had to crouch sooo much so we didn't hit our heads so be prepared to take some ibuprofen coming out
