Back in those days it was called the Prince of Wales but other than that not much has changed. It's a nice if slightly small place. It seems to have suffered in recent years following the opening of the North Wales Theatre five miles down the coast in Llandudno but still attracts the odd name or half decent play. It also now doubles as a cinema to keep the money coming in. Hopefully Theatr Colwyn will be around for years to come.

I also played here when I was at school. picture this; there are seconds to go before the curtains…read morego back, the 'technician' drops the mike on your leg. you raise the ball of your foot to lift your knee and stop the mike falling on the floor. the curtains come back you start to play, with the mike kind of ballanced on your knee. and your leg starts to shake due to nerves. this is amplified terribly but you carry on and finish the song because you are to nervouse to sort it out and start again. man i was a bad performer. but i was young darn it. um anyway, this is a medium sized venue. they also show films in addition to the shows and pantos. a good community vibe. am dram i believe too. go and catch a show. support the theatre. popcorn available.

When I was younger Premier Amusements was an amusement arcade. There were machines designed to…read moreentertain. The one I remember best was a basketball game which stored your details so each time you played it you carried on from when you were last there. These days it's purely devoted to gambling. There's a bingo area by the entrance but other than that the place is entirely devoted to gaming machines. It's usually full of very sad looking people who seem to hang around waiting to offered a free cup of tea or coffee. Avoid at all costs.

The Club Lounge is the social club at Colwyn Bay Football Club. From the outside it looks a bit…read morelike a pre-fab hut, this is mainly because it is a pre-fab hut. Inside though it's all nicely fitted out with a proper bar, large screen TV, etc. As well as being used on match days to keep supporters watered the lounge is used from time to time to host concerts and fundraising events and can also be used for wedding receptions and business events. I'm a bit biased here as a Seagulls supporter but I'd very much recommend coming along to a game so you can discover the delights of the Club Lounge!
